Fantastic experience. The pico de gallo provided with the chilaquiles was the best pico I've ever had. And, the service was prompt and friendly.

It's right on reforma and we came here after a long walk in the Chapultepec park. We were mighty hungry but the service was on the slower side. The Mexican food dishes were good and we tried the anti flu drink and a cactus based drink as well. The cactus drink was quite bitter though. The restaurant has a lot of Hindu paintings and photos of gods.

This place is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious and they have lots of vegan options! The service is great and the ambiance is that of a typical Mexican eatery, really. Unassuming, but warm and friendly. Even if you're not vegan/vegetarian, the food here is worth the visit!

Came for late breakfast on Sunday and wasn’t busy. Service was great. Lots of options. French toast is different and good. Good juices. Nopales (cactus) and beans was good ! It’s a nice break from all the meat.

The Chiles En Nogando was sooo good! It's great that they have a menu del día here, the rest of the course was phenomenal, and loved that it all came with a bread basket.

Google
So happy to have found a vegetarian restaurant in CDMX. We tried the molcajete and it was really good.

I tried a daily special. It started with bread then watermelon. And next was tasty bean soup. The veggie burrito exceeded expectations. Dessert was tasty and light. I washed it all down with Jamaica.

I went in for the buffet. It’s from 1-5pm for 160 pesos. Includes unlimited food- several entrees, a few salad options, desert and fruit juice. It was just very average. The only thing that was good was their mashed potatoes and ‘meat’. Everything else was not good. The bread was so old and stale. The service downstairs wasn’t that great but when I reached upstairs where the buffet is located, the man working behind the buffet gave excellent service. I will not return here

Yelp
This restaurant was around the corner from my hotel. Service was really great. We had a party of four. Hot cakes meal- Banana batter with cranberries and walnuts inside. It came with either tea or coffee and either fresh fruit salad or fresh juice. They were really good. Chilaquiles meal- They came with coffee or tea and either fresh fruit or a fresh juice. According to my husband they were really good. Vegan molletes- They came with coffee or tea and either fresh fruit or a fresh juice. My cousin said they were really good.

Yelp
This restaurant is just okay. The menu is decent and there is a variety of items. The quality of the food isn't that good, but is edible. I had high hopes but was disappointed. I had the spinach lasagna and it was a sad thing to eat. It was a mix of spinach, onion, celery, with some green noodles and topped with cheese (vegan cheese maybe). All on top of a bed of tomato sauce from a can...there was no flavor or seasoning, just plain tomato sauce. You also get some bread on the side, but the bread is not the soft, moist kind we like...just dry. I also got a licuado...which was okay, but I could have done without.

Yelp
This place is a GEM! Really good affordable vegetarian food and very friendly staff. Looks like a humble but popular place where the locals eat. I'd come here every day. No English menu and staff don't speak English. I tried to use google translate with the menu (which took a while) and still couldn't decide what to get, so I looked at my neighbors table. My neighbor was so nice they couldn't speak English but they pointed out the dishes they ordered and offered me to try their food! Waiter saw this and brought me a big plate full of samples so I could try them all! I ended up getting the same dish my neighbor got, a package with original soup, a big plate of fruits, rice and a variety of vegetables, and figs for desert, all for under $100 + tip! 5 stars for service, 5 stars for food, 5 stars for neighbour eating next table! :)

Yelp
Honestly.... honestly about this place... BOMB! I think it's an amazing, a beautiful historical please in the city of Mexico created when veganism and being vegetarian was nonexistent in a place where meat consumption is king . I come here often when in Mexico City and I am very pleased to pay a very significantly small amount for a nice vegan meal here in an area where prices are super F**cken high. Food is good go eat here . stop listening to the reviews it's like everyone's complaining and pushing you away. You only live once, and I like to see things for myself and so should you friend. Either your going to like it or not, like anything in life ...so go try for yourself. That's life. I come here often ,I like it the food. And I like to support businesses that are landmarks , that pioneered something when there was non other . I like this OG spot , it's for the low key undercover hippies like me.

Yelp
This is the OG vegetarian place of Mexico City, since 1963. This place is frequented by locals which is a good sign. Even though it's an old school vegetarian place with Buddhas used as decor and lots of the color green, there's a very mixed crowd. Both vegetarian and vegan options available. There are baked goods and a small amount of veg centric grocery items at the front too. All tables are served a big bowl of assorted bread and butter (not sure if vegan). We got the 4 course meal of the day and enchiladas jaliscos with verde sauce and vegan cheese (nut based). His 4 course meal came with a almond salad, soup, seitan entree, AND dessert. It's a good bang for your buck. Our waiter for very patient with some of our Spanish language blunders. Would return.

Yelp
I got soup, fruit, and romeritas con mole. I have been shitting my brains out for the last 12 hours. I was really dizzy and nauseous and I thought I got a cold or something but then the diarrhea started. Stay. Away. From. This. Place.

Yelp
Food was really good. Can't say it was authentic or not as i am not an expert on mexican food. I am vegetarian so we decided to go this place. Ambience is ok. Service was fine . We ordered two main entrees and both were fine. Even i asked for extra chillies and they gave me few. All n all good experience.

Yelp
Yug is an institution in the Mexico City veggie scene. No, it is not the newest. It is not the fanciest. But it was there decades ago when finding vegetarian or vegan food was challenging in Mexico City. It continues to offer decent vegetarian options at nearly unbeatable prices. There is a lot of variety. The staff has been around and is helpful. If you are looking to show off, this is not for you. But if you want to experience some local heritage, then welcome....

Yelp
Exactly what it says on the label. Really good vegetarian food. If you are not looking for that, you may be disappointed. Try the juices.

Yelp
I have been watching the reviews for YUG since returning home from DF in July. Frankly, its upsetting because most are carnivores commenting or people who have extreme dietary needs are complaining with little grasp of the Spanish spoken in Mexico. I lived in a town here in California for 4+ years that is predominately Mexican- and so naturally thought my Spanglish would get me through in DF. However, there were embarrassingly some VERY rough patches. Honestly, where in the US would you find such a warm welcoming vegetarian restaurant that serves REAL Mexican cuisine?!? I never judge a restaurant on their buffet either-Lets all be honest buffets are NEVER as good as sit down freshly prepared food. Enough Rant lol (: I LOVE YUG. We stayed in the Zona Rosa for 5 out of our 8 nights in Mexico City. We ate at YUG for 4 of those nights...Haha. My husband actually complained about the night we missed. Our first night we were greeted by a young waiter in his mid 20's who was very patient with us. They serve a bread basket with whole grain breads, and neatly pressed butter beside. We had probably walked a good 10 miles that day and were starving. We delved right in and ordered the Parrillada and the Molcajete (PLEASE FORGIVE GRINGA UNINTENTIONAL MISPELLINGS (:) Way too much food. LOL It was lovely and delicious. I love nopales and was able to make some very delicious tacos.. My husband ate the rest-even though he is super thin and promptly fell asleep in our hotel room. CURSE you YUG.... I guess my point being if you're a vegan get the Molcajete and leave the cheese. Top your tacos with salsa and perfecto. One of the funniest sights we saw was a table of Englishmen who left all their nopales as if they were a garnish on their plates. It was sacrilegious in my mind. Here is a run down of the Pilipino and Gringa's meals: 1. Vampiro Juice: Yum Molcajete Parrillada 2. Molcajete Ensalada Apple Strudel Café 3. Azteca Pie Eggplant Parm (my least favorite; when in Rome eat what the Romans eat) Apple Strudel 4. Tacos or Taquitos on the menu Molcajete banana bread I cant remember the older waiters name, if I think in was Caesar.,... You rock. We pray and think of you often. In conclusion if you think and order well it is very easy to order a delicious vegan or vegetarian meal here. It is in easy walking distance from the park or zona rosa. Safe, quiet, and with lovely staff.

Yelp
I went here for lunch during my visit in Mexico and haven't stopped thinking about it since! I tried enfrijoladas for the first time and fell completely head over heels with them. The veggie chorizo they put on them really topped it off for me. All of this plus fresh orange juice for less than 5 euros, mind blowing! Can't wait to go back here :)

Yelp
Great old-school style place with big menu and friendly staff that was eager to accommodate our poor Spanish language skills. The food was good and plentiful. The other diners were locals. Would definitely recommend this special joint if you're veg.

Yelp
One of my top vegan spots while visiting Mexico City. I ordered two plates (one for later) and I enjoyed both. Authentic mexican meals in vegan version. Service was fast. Staff was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place and come back.

Yelp
Two star for the concept of Veg food - choices are also good. I went there for buffet 90 Peso - green drinks, soups (good), hot bread (very good), salad (standard) - impressive so far. In main course, they offer very tasteless food - soyabeen cooked in different ways for 3 main dishes. This part they can improve. Deserrt session is good with fruits, cakes and jello kind of sweet.

Yelp
very big selection but not the highest quality of food. i had a veggie burger with a side salad and some bread. it's a nice option but it's not amazingly delicious. it is affordable and the service is really good because there are waiters everywhere, you don't have to stick to just your own!
