I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I sincerely had to share my awful experience with the receptionist.
I ordered a Passover cake last year (Lemon Pistachio) which was absolutely delicious so I wanted to do so again this year. I tried to order it on 4/2, which was the deadline for orders and was unable to do so because the website said there was nothing on the menu to order from (weird) so I proceeded to call the next business day. I was looking for a Saturday morning pick up (4/8). This gives 6 days in advance. The lady went on to tell me that Passover is only on Wednesday and they are not accepting any more orders and that the deadline was 3pm 4/2 and because I missed the deadline by AN HOUR they would not take my order. The receptionist also brought this up again towards the end of the call and said that they removed online orders around 5/6pm. Another lie!!!!!! Clearly if that was removed around 5/6, I would have been able to place my order.
First of all- how are you to tell me that Passover is one day only when it is a week long?????? Second, i can SENSE a huge lie by that time deadline. There was 0 communication on the website or Instagram that there was a time deadline... just a DAY deadline. Third, the lady went on to tell me that I can come in on Saturday to get a cake but she has no idea what cakes will be there and because Saturday is no longer Passover there won't be Passover cakes. Girl!!!!! If you are going to work at an Israeli bakery, at least know the holidays. At this point I am fuming with all the lies. And finally; the tipping point. I ask to speak to a manager or owner. She tells me they are too busy but I can email Yuki. I say, if I email Yuki, isn't she too busy to respond? And the lady goes, yup someone else will respond.
I am sorry (not sorry), for this lengthy review but I always support small businesses and wanted to get a cake for my family celebration but this disrespectful, deceitful customer service was just awful that I had to share.
I also messaged them on Instagram when I tried placing the order and after my terrible experience and they left me on READ. Again, I repeat, I apparently missed the "deadline" by one hour that was NEVER communicated by the business.
