Given that this is, as far as I can tell, the only stop between Fairbanks and the Arctic Circle that serves food, the dinner was delicious and the prices surprisingly reasonable. And the employees were very friendly. We also enjoyed strolling down to the bank of the Yukon River.

I do not understand how anybody could have given this positive reviews. There are lots of locals so my only guess is they are posting it based on the relationship with the workers, not the actual restaurant. The first thing you see when you walk in the door is the word "NO". No American Express. No Discover. Obviously they were getting lots of requests, so instead of accepting all credit cards, they decided to alienate customers. I had the fish chunks sandwich which was dry. The only positive thing about this restaurant was the young lady who was at the front and was very cheerful and engaging. You could tell she was embarrassed when I asked again, you don't take American Express? The atmosphere was that of a cafeteria, and the food was not worthy of a cafeteria. The only reason this place survives is because they're the only place around. In the spirit of their payment policy, if you ask if you should go? The answer is "NO".

Location is remote although it's on a State Highway - a good share of it is gravel. Make sure you have at least one good spare tire but recommend two. This is a "working highway" so be prepared for lots truck traffic and possibly a chipped or cracked windshield. Slowing 🐌 down when you have oncoming traffic will greatly reduce your windshield damage.

This place is a blessing to all tourists wanting to get to the arctic circle. They may be a monopoly in the area—being the only place serving food, so I was surprised their prices are actually very reasonable and I really appreciate that. Bathrooms are well kept and warm, and all staff are friendly.

If you can make it....its a pretty remote station....and bring your own gas....but if you dont....it's okay....they have some....but its pricey 😀 It's an awesome place, loved it...a great jump point for heading north of the Arctic Circle 🔵

Pretty much the only real stopping place on the first half of the Dalton Highway, a cafe rest stop surrounded by big big sky. Food is available, at reasonable prices (too far out to be trying to gouge the tourist trade). Nearby at the banks of the Yukon, there are river boat services with boats for hire.

We stopped here for a meal as part of a tour group. We didn't eat because it was already 8 pm by the time we reached here, so we just used the bathrooms and bought souvenirs. The line for the bathrooms was huge because of how many tours there were. Only 2 stalls functioning in the ladies made for a very long and uncomfortable wait! I did buy a few souvenirs and a big soft ginger cookie, which was really good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Katherine and Lissa: The Heart of Yukon River Camp My journey through Alaska led me to Yukon River Camp under the worst circumstances—exhausted, in an unsuitable car, and with no shelter. The place was closed, but then Miracle #1 happened: Katherine. With no obligation, she opened the door, treated me like family, and quite literally saved me from spending the night out in the cold. Her kindness and dedication were beyond anything I expected. The next day, Miracle #2 arrived: Lissa. She welcomed me with warmth, and when my car got stuck in the snow, she went out of her way to help me get it out. She didn’t have to, but her humanity made all the difference. If the owner of Yukon River Camp is reading this, know that you have two employees who make this place more than just a stop it’s a refuge of kindness in the middle of nowhere.
