This is a mix of traditional Korean, Pacific Island Korean, and Sushi! This takes the best of Korean dishes and turns it up a few notches, all from years of honing and refinement. This is hands-down the best designed Korean restaurant I have ever seen (and among the best designed of restaurants, period). Everything has a well-thought-out personal touch. Even the hidden drawer with utensils and napkins, that is hidden under each table, is cool.
With the option of ordering either individual entrees or all-you-can-eat, they will aim to satisfy. Order some of the marinated meats to BBQ at your table, but don't shy away from some of the other traditional meals. Bul kogi, Chap Chay, BiBimBap are popular as is the Kalbi, but my all-time favorite is the Korean Garlic Chicken! I am afraid it may be addictive. I seriously dream about their Garlic Chicken. It is lightly fried, generously portioned, chicken coated in a sweetly tart garlic sauce that may make you cry when you realize there is no more in your dish. This would be a great reason to go with the plentiful all-you-can-eat option.
The complimentary side dishes deserve a shout-out of their own. The bean sprouts, marinated potatoes (YUM!), and varieties of kimchi (cabbage, radish, and cucumber) come out with island-friendly pasta salad. These are some of the best Korean side dishes. And as you discover you have cleaned up those side dishes, do not despair, they will bring you more with a smile.
Don't see a Korean dish on the menu? Ask if they have it off-menu. They do prepare and serve a great fermented kimchi stew that will take you right to the Land of the Morning Calm with your first bite. So, like I said, get down there and get your Yummy (and satisfied smile) on!
