Ordered the chicken and waffles with the greens and got the most soggy waffle of my Life! It was literally soaked because they put so much juice from the greens in the same bowl. I KNOW this is not how they normally do! I think they did it on purpose because they gave me the wrong order at first and I had to reorder thru Uber. The persons order they gave me had greens too and there was barely any juice in the bowl! So I know they did it on purpose! Not like I could call to resolve because the only number I found didn’t answer. So disappointed. I wanted to LOVE them too!!! I don’t even know why they would be mad like I did something to them!! They messed up MY order and someone else’s. SMH.

Stopped into grab a bite in between some errands and the food really hit the spot. Perfect spice level for myself but might catch your average Joe of guard. Only disappointment was the inside wasn’t a great spot to be seated so ate in our car instantly. Definitely a take out type place

Great food truck with owners cooking food with affection and fresh ingredients. This place brings a small selection of carribean food to Detroit and does a great job. The chicken is perfect in texture, softness and spice. The plantains taste great and the rice is amazing compared to the standard white or brown variety. Definitely recommend the jerk chicken. Everything is a la carte so you pay for the meat and sides as you want. There is an open beer garden where you can sit and enjoy your meal. I hope to see more amazing things added on the menu soon. Keep up the good work!

Eating at Yum Village is a spiritual experience. There is no other way to put it. You cannot go wrong with any of the bowls and the owner does a lot for the community!

This place is a dream. The food is always amazing, the people are always so nice. I brought my mom in with me for lunch today while she was visiting and she’s still raving about how good the food is - she’s planning to make special trips to Detroit just to go here.

Ate here for the first time on Tuesday. We got the Classic Village, the Curry Cicken, Roasted Brussels, and Samosas to go. Was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful the food was. The Classic Village has a little bit of spice, which I really enjoyed. And the samosas were much different than any I’d had before but very tasty. Everything was great! I will definitely be back.

Bewarned, the jerk chicken is very sweet, it seemed like a lot of sugar was poured onto it. The labeling didn't say anything about the chicken being this sweet. The food was a bit blend and the quantity a bit low for what the price was. The place looks really nice, and from the reviews the staff seem really good, so I'm really disappointed I can't give this a 5 star, but I want to be transparent with someone like me who might want to order form here. I'll state tho, some might like the food, its just a taste me and my family didn't like. I'm only leaving this review because the business seems to be doing well, and I dont think my review will be problematic.

Great! Great food! I ordered a lot since this was my first time ordering from YumVillage. I am glad my co-workers suggested YumVillage. I would take a picture but I was too hungry. What can I say? The flavors are great. The price and portions are great. I will most definitely recommend this restaurant. I will be back.
