Yun Lai Viewpoint

Nice place of interest to have a lookout of pai. If you are coming before the sunrise, you might have to park ur vehicle at the Chinese village and take the transport from the locals. I arrived after 8am and could ride up directly. It's a steep road at the end. You can see the entire place covered with clouds if you arrive around 8-9. 20B per entry

My dad was complaining to wake up at 5am to go for a sunrise. 😆 We took the courage to wake up at a freezing temperature 🌡 I think anytime between 10c to 12c. It was crazy weather for a Malaysian that had to endure 35c to 40c each day to such chilling morning. The crowd was massive, so we parked at the chinese village and they send us up using hi-lux. There you see the red lanterns and wondering if you've been transported to a chinese place 😄😆. We walked up the slope until the top. There are ample of places to sit watching the town and mountains. And you may get some drinks over the counter too. Entry is just 20 bath which is worth it. Then we started watching as time goes by. No talking, just observing and absorbing the nature has bring to us. The entire town below were covered with a blanket of mist. We left soon after and didn't wait till the sun was out because it seems the sun wants to rest on Christmas day 😃. There are other areas where couples could buy ornaments to hang below the tree, you can't miss it. And there's a platform where everyone wants to capture the word yun lai in chinese. No regret, good journey.

The viewpoint is in the courtyard of a Cafe, coffee shop, Giftshop. 20b entry fee is reasonable.  Good view over Pai sitting on numerous benches, swings, table spots while you enjoy a drink and free wifi. It's a 15min drive from Pai, doable by scooter or car. I wouldn't count on grab or taxi this far out. Leisurely sipping our iced mochas and playing on our phone  took about 30min stay here.

Beautiful popular spot to watch the sunrise. The place gets crowded pretty soon though, so you want to come early and save your spot. There are free restroom. Food snacks and souvenir are available for purchase here.

A great viewpoint for watching the sunrise over a sea of ​​fog. Entry is 20 baht per person. To get the best shot, arrive 15 minutes before sunrise. It's best to allow extra travel time, as there are many people trying to get there, and traffic jams are common, making it difficult to avoid them even on a motorbike. The viewpoint is crowded, but there's plenty of room for everyone.

The viewpoint is a beautiful spot, even though we didn’t get to see the sunrise because of the clouds. The entrance fee is 20 THB per person. Inside, you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea in a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop!

A lovely viewpoint with a wide, open view over Pai and the surrounding valley. There’s a small entrance fee (20 baht) and when we visited it wasn’t crowded at all, which made it easy to take in the scenery and enjoy the calm. The approach is quite touristy, with lots of little shops and stalls as you go up, but once you reach the viewpoint itself it’s peaceful and the view is genuinely worth it – especially if you’re already exploring around Pai. A simple, easy stop with a great perspective over Pai. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and want a relaxed viewpoint without heavy crowds.

Nice viewpoint! It is on the top of a hill with a view overlooking the valley and town. There are some nice places to take photographs and you can buy some food and drink from the uncle taking care of the place. I went there in the evening and it was peaceful and quiet. Even saw a small snake swimming in the water. You need to pay to enter.
