Food here was so good we ended up returning two more times in the 4 nights we stayed in Luang. Plenty of staff to ensure you are well looked after, great service, and a lovely vibe/setting for the restaurant itself with its decor and gentle music playing. A little on the pricey side for Laos but it was really good food and portions so we weren’t disappoint :)

One of the best meals we had in a month of travel, we had the Senegalese maffe and Indian butter chicken and they were both outstanding. The place is very nice, beautifully decorated with great attention to detail and the service is friendly and fast. Definitely recommended

I had the butter chicken. There is something added to this butter chicken recipe that is usually not there. Something citrus perhaps? If you swap out the naan for rice the portion is one of the smallest I’ve seen at a restaurant. Rice is a very low cost item. Be more generous please. I complement you on the interesting serving dishes used.

This place is super cute. Love the concept and the design. I chose the falafel burger and was disappointed that it was dry, even with the hummus and the tomato on the burger. The portion sizes are good, the service is wonderful, and the menu has a lot of options.

The service was lovely. The food, unfortunately, was really bland and not cheap. The discovery platter 1 was essentially boiled vegetables. The eggplant dip was pretty flavourless. It came with a lot of rice, but not a lot of sauce. And it cost 120000 kip. The staff were very, very kind!! Service was fast and they answered all our questions. They told us about the history of the restaurant. They were great. The vibes are pretty good. It’s well decorated. I just wish the food had more flavour and was a lower price.

Great food but super slow to arrive. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food when others who ordered after us got theirs first so we had to ask. The food was amazing we had the Luang Prabang sausage and a butter chicken curry. Good portion sizes and nice atmosphere. Toilets were very clean.

I've eaten at this restaurant two days in a row for dinner as my first experience was good. However, I came back the next night and ordered the tofu noodle stir-fry. It was after 9pm and there was only one other table occupied so it wasn't busy. I was shocked to be given a stir-fry with instant block noodles. This is not acceptable, especially when they are charging 125000 KIP for such poor quality food. I called the waiter over to ask him why they were using instant noodles, and all he said was 'sorry'. So obviously, they've had other complaints. I definitely won't be coming back to pay high prices and be given food that's equivalent to a pot noodle.

The servers here are absolutely amazing. So attentive and just 100% fantastic. Very very very kind. However, this restaurant is just not very good :/ it tries to do too much of everything. The Lao discovery 1 platter was a huge disappointment. The “tomato dip” was like store bought salsa. The eggplant dip was tiny and not very flavourful. The “vegetables” were boiled carrot and cabbage. No seasoning. Nothing special. There was plain sticky rice and not enough sauce to distribute for the volume of sticky rice. The seaweed was the best part but it’s not the best I have had in Laos. The mushrooms were good, but nothing to write home about. The restaurant was not very full. It is nicely decorated. Well staffed. Falls totally short on food, though. I am so surprised it is rated so highly (4.5 stars in July 2024) at the time of writing, so that is why I am leaving a low review. To recalibrate the statistics. I think there is a lot of potential here. Under-utilized :(
