Yunnan Railway Museum

Highly recommend this railway museum if you visit Kunming, don't miss it, must go attractions. I took a train from Malaysia to Europe. Kunming was a transit city in my itinerary. You need to register at entrance by your Alipay apps, is free, but the security guard let me in because I haven't download the Alipay, he just write on the book I'm foreigner, without my personal particular. Not only a witness to railway history, but also a testimony of Sino-Japanese War, the museum systematically guides you through the construction, finance, and evolution…etc of the railway system in the region. The ground floor is a huge exhibition hall of antique locomotives and train compartments of different models, some of which once in service over a hundred years ago. The French-made Michelin rubber-tyre passenger diesel locomotive was particularly impressive. (Jun 2014)

A must-visit place when you travel to Kunming. Lost of information and impressing display. I had a good time here.

Plus qu'un musée, un lieu de mémoire consacrée aux débuts du chemin de fer reliant la Chine au Vietnam . En fin de visite, dans un immense hall, sont exposés locomotives et wagon d'époque. Facilement accessible en métro. Fermé les lundi et mardi, entrée gratuite.
