I visited this restaurant recently and left feeling disappointed, primarily due to unclear and arguably misleading pricing.
In terms of the food, the fish soup was tasty, however portion seemed small. The other dishes were decent, though quite salty. The deep fried pork seemed a little overcooked and the noodles were bland.
Service was acceptable, nothing exceptional.
They advertise a $118 set combo that includes their signature fish soup, lobster, deep fried pork, pea sprouts and a noodle dish. Unfortunately, the advertised price only covers a 2lb fish, and nearly all the fish they serve are well over 2lbs, resulting in additional charges per extra pound. If you want to add regular clear broth to the soup, there would also be an extra cost involved. This wasn’t communicated clearly on the menu, and felt dishonest.
Overall, the food was decent, the atmosphere was just ok and pricing really left a bad taste in our mouths. We paid $180 for 4 people. Had we known the combo price was not the actual cost we’d end up paying, we would not have chosen to eat here. At this price point, I’d recommend trying another restaurant that offers better food, ambiance and clearer pricing.
