Yuzi was such a relaxing, nourishing haven postpartum! The staff and doulas were incredibly caring and took great care of me and my baby. I felt very secure and I hardly thought of a need they didn't fulfill. The grounds are beautiful, food was delicious, and I came out of the 3-day stay way more rested than when I entered! Would absolutely recommend to new parents.

Postnatal retreat on a state park? Say less, we’re there! At 10.5 weeks postpartum my husband and I enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, 24/7 nursery option, and onsite spa. The expert care team of nurses & doulas gave us some hands free quality time as a couple and as individuals. We loved that we could easily communicate with the staff via text. The meals from Cedar + Elm were soooo good and I loved that they created a specific menu to support postpartum nutrition and lactation. Would highly recommend to all postpartum families in the Seattle area.

As a mom of 2 toddlers, my biggest concern was not developing the bond with my newborn that I had with my first two kids. The certified and experienced care team at Yuzi ensured I could maximize one on one time with my son and achieve optimal rest and relaxation. Delicious, gourmet meals designed by a nutritionist, were delivered to my room 3 times a day. These meals improved my milk supply and the quality of my milk; my son gained a full pound during our five night stay. The meals were based on my dietary preferences and cravings. Just having meals brought to me provided me with time to get to know my newborn and also nap with him; this was invaluable and exactly what I was looking for! Yuzi is located in the historical Lodge at St. Edward’s Park. I loved being able to stroll the trails with my baby. On rainy days, I toured the art galleries or relaxed in the library. The park also has an amazing play area that my toddlers loved playing at when my husband and toddlers visited. Room service was also provided for my husband and children upon request. I was able to experience a facial and a massage at the Vita Nova Spa located within the lodge. The care team took my son to the nursery and bottle fed, cuddled, and even sang lullabies to him while I took time for self care. At any point, I was able to view my son on the Nanit Cameras the nursery is equipped with. It was also a nice option to leave him with the care team when I needed “me time” to bathe, sleep alone and uninterrupted, or have an uninterrupted meal. Every night, I also indulged in a foot soak and eye or face mask provided by the staff. The entire team was kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They were reachable via text and would check in with me regularly. Not only were they able to provide support in caring for my newborn, but also ensured I had everything I needed: from sanitary pads to peri ice packs to lactation teas and a variety of lactation support snacks and hydration products. It was nice to be able to try various snacks I’ve seen advertised on social media before buying any of them online. Although I regularly see a postpartum therapist, a 30 minute wellness check was also provided with my stay. It is very comforting to know how Yuzi understands the challenges which affect our mental health as we adjust to welcoming a newborn in our lives. Finally, along with just being surrounded by a knowledgeable care team, it was comforting to know Yuzi has safety protocols designed by OB and Labor and Delivery teams from one of our top rated hospitals in the Seattle Area. I can’t thank my family and the staff at Yuzi enough for this invaluable experience.

As a nurse practitioner and the founder of Spruce Psychiatric and Clear Path, I work with many perinatal patients navigating mood, anxiety, and identity shifts after birth. I’ve seen firsthand how critical postpartum support is—not just for the birthing parent, but for the whole family system. That’s why I confidently refer patients to Yuzi Care. Steph, the founder of Yuzi Care, brings deep empathy, lived experience, and operational excellence to her work. Her team of doulas, newborn care specialists, and postpartum professionals deliver thoughtful, culturally competent, and wraparound support. The tech-enabled platform makes it easy for families to access high-quality care exactly when they need it most. If you’re a parent or provider seeking trusted postpartum support, I highly recommend Yuzi Care. Steph is leading a much-needed movement in maternal mental health and recovery.

We used Yuzi Care’s postpartum at-home services during the first four weeks after our daughter was born, and it was one of the best decisions we made as new parents. The transition home with a newborn can feel overwhelming, but Yuzi Care made it so much more manageable and peaceful. We were fortunate to work with Jessica as our night doula and Elena as our day doula—both were incredibly nurturing, knowledgeable, and gentle with our baby. They not only cared for her with so much love but also supported us as new parents, offering practical guidance, emotional reassurance, helpful tips, and extra hands around the house that made a big difference. Beyond the amazing care providers, Yuzi Care offers a seamless and thoughtful experience—from their easy and flexible booking process and prompt communication to the postpartum education. We’re so grateful to have had their support during this special (and sleep-deprived!) time. Highly recommend to any new family looking for trusted postpartum care.

We cannot recommend Yuzicare highly enough! As two busy working parents, we were overwhelmed trying to figure out newborn care options while balancing our jobs and adjusting to life with a baby. From the very first call, Yuzicare put our minds at ease. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with newborn care and don’t know where to start, trust us — Yuzicare is the partner you need. They made this transition so much smoother than we ever imagined. Thank you, Yuzicare, for caring for our family so we could care for our little one and ourselves too!

I was contracted through my agency, Village to Village Doulas, to support a postpartum retreat hosted by Yuzi Care at Saint Edward Lodge. I came with a strong, experience-based framework to support families - built from years of work and lived experience - but behind the scenes, I witnessed poor leadership, disorganized scheduling, and a clear lack of understanding about what postpartum families truly need. What’s most disappointing is that after our partnership, I’ve seen Yuzi Care begin to duplicate elements of my original framework and language - without consent. As a small business owner who poured her heart into this work, that’s deeply disheartening. If you're a doula or care provider considering a partnership, I urge you to move with caution. Protect your contributions and ensure your values are aligned. Families and professionals deserve relationships rooted in trust, transparency, and mutual respect - and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Editing to add a response: I want to clarify that this review was not the first time these issues were communicated - these concerns were shared well before the review was posted. I have all of my receipts! Regarding the intellectual property clause that is generally included in contracts like ours: at the time we worked together, our models were completely different. When our contract ended, if I had started a postpartum retreat built from your framework, I’m sure your response would have gone beyond posting a Google review. Especially since you have already threatened to sue me if I didn't continue staffing the lodge! As a small business owner without the same resources, I am simply warning future partners to lawyer up and proceed with caution. My goal remains to protect the families we serve and the integrity of this important work. If you are reading this, please understand that this company is not rooted in community, this person came into the community wanting to financially dominate it and become "the uber of maternal Healthcare. " Those were also her own words, not mine. Caution ⚠️

I have been torn about whether to post this review but my experience with Yuzi is so disappointing I decided it was worth it to potentially spare others the disappointment as they are continuing to advertise services that don’t actually exist. I signed up for the retreat in summer 2024 for a January stay at St. Edward’s Lodge. It had everything I wanted—the stay at the luxury hotel, the premade meals, the support. I explained to them how I had a toddler with cancer and how much this stay was going to mean to me and immediately put down a deposit. I cannot tell you how many times in the child oncology ward I thought, “well, this sucks, but at least I have my retreat in January.” And then I received an email about a refund that hit my account in October. No phone call. Then a follow-up email that was like, Hi Mama! Congratulations on your bundle of joy! We have an important update! The reservations at St. Edwards are paused starting at the end of October! I was really upset. The email said they could offer the services at home, but there is just no comparison to staying in a hotel postpartum. I later inquired about meals—nope, not included, they’d have to hire a chef for you. Cleaning not included. Mental health services not included. Forget it. I saw that they continued to advertise their retreat services and so I called and spoke to the owner, who informed me they didn’t have enough demand so they were now exploring different hotels in the area based on demand and asked if I would be interested. I said I was willing to travel anywhere for this experience and got my hopes up, AGAIN. A month later, I received an email—never a call—they didn’t actually have demand and they would need to cancel on me A SECOND TIME. And to date, they are STILL advertising their retreat services. I understand what they are trying to do, but the business model isn’t working unless they magically get a certain amount of families willing to sign up at the same time and STAY signed up. I’m a second time mom and I was disappointed. When I toured, I was there with first time parents who had reserved three weeks and had flown in from out of state and had booked the same time period as me—I can’t imagine how frustrated they must have been. Impossible business model, out of touch emailing, and lack of personal contact ultimately make this a 1 star experience for me.

Yelp
Amazing stay!!! A much needed 5 night stay after having a c-section. It was so hard to recover and going to Yuzi was amazing. Food was awesome, spa and having care for my brand newborn son was needed so I could heal and focus on my baby and not worry about cooking, cleaning etc. in addition all the baby classes were amazing and needed since this is my first baby. I would have struggled if I would have gone home after hospital and Yuzi made it so much easier to start the healing process and enjoy my brand new son. We came back again 2.5 months later and celebrated our 1 year anniversary, the restaurant is amazing and we utilized the nursery while we celebrated. Thank you Yuzi Care!

Yelp
We booked our stay at Yuzi 2 weeks postpartum which was the perfect timing for us as first time parents. It was just enough time to settle in at home and get to know our baby while identifying things we wanted to address and learn from the Yuzi doulas and nurses. The care team was top notch, we learned so much from them from the official classes we took such as infant CPR, car seat installation, lactation support but also just from the helpful tidbits they would share with us throughout the day as they were taking care of us and our baby. We ended up using the 24/7 staffed nursery every night overnight as well as randomly throughout the day which made spending quality time with each other so much better as well as allowed for much needed self-care time (the massage and facial at the spa were so relaxing!). The food was also amazing and loved that each meal was thoughtfully designed for postpartum parents. Truly an amazing experience and so happy a place like this exists where we live. Highly recommend to any families who need a little rest and support during this chapter.
