"Camden’s Zabludowicz Collection, denoted by a yellow traffic sign with an arrow that reads ART, is an edgier spot with avant-garde exhibitions housed inside a former chapel."

Free and easy to access. One of my favourite art galleries in London, that’s set up in an old church interior. I went to the LuYang exhibition and was just amazed by it all, the use of the senses, the music, lights and everything was just too impressive. In one of the rooms there were actual arcade games that you could play.

Such a lovely area and amazing collections they have. You can genuinely appreciate artworks on peaceful Sundays. Friendly and welcoming staffs, must visit if you are around the area!

What a wonderful place and amazing exhibition! I randomly bumped into this gallery and had an incredible Sunday afternoon! I visited the place when Shana Moulton exhibition was on and thoroughly enjoyed every piece of the installation. The images and colours were captivating and attention grabbing. Make sure to have some time for the VR experience upstairs - you might have to wait for 10-15 minutes but it will be worth it! You will have the room for yourself and the experience will be amazing! I absolutely recommend visiting this place and will myself make sure to keep an eye on future exhibitions here!

A fantastic space and beautiful building! Quite close to Chalk Farm station so not too much of a walk. The exhibition space was great, I’d come back to see another show again. Staff were friendly and helpful. Museum was free.

Absolutely brilliant exhibition on at the moment, my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. Mixed works by various artists, including an exceptional performance art piece called The Terrace of Lungs, by Fani Parali, we were even lucky enough to even got to talk to her about her work after the performance. Wonderful! I'll certainly be returning. And by the way it was all free! (Well, apart from the coffee and cake 😁)

The gallery is a great choice if you like to venture to the weird and unusual side of art. In this huge art space, you almost forget you're in a gallery and feel like you're transported into the world, or the mind, of the artist. I've seen one of my favourite oil painters Chloe Wise exhibit her work here and discovered more visual artists from around the world. The staff are really friendly, helpful and well informed about the art.

Grade II Listed former derelict chapel, the London base for Charitable Arts Foundation supporting emerging artists, hosting a busy schedule of exhibitions, events and showcasing novel disciplines. Free admission, reasonably priced bijou foyer cafe and a recherché “gift” section that defies the obvious. Advocating the challenging, the avant-garde... and the incomprehensibl? Definitely worth a visit. ”In art it is hard to say anything as good as saying nothing.” * *Ludwig Wittgenstein

Yelp
Came here last week to see the Haroon Mirza installation and as usual the gallery did not disappoint . The gallery promotes young artists and always puts on a fantastic show . love the fact its a converted church ,kind of feels like you were sent back in time to look at the future !

Yelp
There is something very special about this space, you just have to go yourself to discover what I mean. As a small gallery it is somewhat overlooked, but the fact that it is less crowded means you really can enjoy the work without distraction. It is home to the the Zabludowicz Collection, which focuses on contemporary art from the late 20th and 21st centuries; and the emphasis here is on exhibitions that work with the chapel space itself. Currently you can go to see Ken Wilder's 'Framing Spectatorship' - sculptural installations that reference Renaissance paintings establishing concrete ties to their location. Although entry to the gallery is free, the £5 annual membership is donated towards the interaction programme and provides discounts for the bookshop and invitation to private events. There's a wonderful cafe serving sandwiches (£2.15 - £3.50) and hot drinks up to £2.

Yelp
This gallery is great. The building itself is large and interesting, still has some original features such as fireplaces, and it's great to see a large establishment championing emerging contemporary art. Staff are usually friendly and helpful, so it feels more like a smaller gallery. Every exhibition utilises different amounts and areas of the space, so each visit feels like I'm visiting for the first time. I'd really recommend this gallery if you'd like to see contemporary work by artists you probably haven't heard of before. Plus, it's free!

Yelp
I've happened to wander into a couple of excellent exhibitions here. This privately owned chapel (it isn't used as a chapel now) is beautiful and the owner really cares about what they exhibit. The space itself is cool and separated into many different rooms and levels. If you are a budding artist or keen to see quality, inspiring work, 176 Art Gallery is worth checking out.

Yelp
Brilliant and beautiful space just a short walk from the Chalk Farm Tube Station. Luckily they fill the space with awesome art too! I was there for the opening of A Tradition I Do Not Mean (http://londonist.com/2009/07/preview_a_tradition_i_do_not_mean_t.php) to Break and - in addition to being absolutely blown away by the actual exhibition - I couldn't get over the space itself. There's a little cafe as well as a book and record shop. Check it out!

Yelp
I absolutely adore 176 and would fervently urge you all to visit. It is a gallery that describes itself as a 'site for artistic and curatorial experimentation'. Located in Grade II listed 19th Century Methodist chapel the zabludowicz Collection acquired in 2005, the architecture is simply stunning and will blow you away. Seriously. You need to be a member; the privilege costs you just £5 a year and enables you to go for free to any of their talks, events or private views and entitles you to a discount in their bookshop and gives you the option to rent out the library for some personal study. Phew! The place is run by the Zabludowicz Collection (http://www.zabludowiczcollection.com/), some of the richest and most prevalent contemporary art collectors, they have three site specific shows each year curated by different people, one by an artist represented the collection, one by a resident so every exhibition has a very different feel.
