Very nice stay and lots to do at the hotel. Beautifully laid out, with a fine dining restaurant on grounds. Full size basketball court, tennis court (with faded pickle ball lines as well). On a great stretch of semi-private beach with good surf. Rooms are showing their age, but they are roomy and comfortable. Great Valet and Door persons. Check in would do better to include showing guests to their room in a somewhat complicated room lay out. Hotel offers 2 hour credits for rental equipment that includes boogie boards, tennis rackets, board games, a phonograph and LPs and several other choices. Almost certainly will stay here again.

An amazing place with an amazing view. When you book your room, book the ocean view. Depending on the time of year, the price of this resort goes up and down. But when you have the ocean view, you will see one of the best sunsets in your own balcony, see the ocean and beach with no building obstruction and in many stays, you will see pods of dolphins going back and forth in the ocean! Every room is a suite and every one has two full baths! With a queen size pull out couch, it’s perfect for families! Got a small microwave, mini fridge and a small sink in the mini kitchen too. So if you have many refrigerated items, you will need to bring a cooler or buy one at Walmart for about 27 dollars for a 48 qt because the fridge is small. They have friendly staff that will help if any issues come up. Ricardo, the Assistant GM of the resort is a super hardworking and caring individual who roams around the whole compound daily even on his days off to make sure the guests and the facilities are doing great. He really does care about the whole place. In the restaurant, you have the Letty, the manager and Selena, one of the servers who are both amazing on what they do. Both are hardworking individuals who makes sure the restaurant guests are satisfied. The staff here are all amazing. ||Now, there are some issues that needs to be addressed and fixed. |The hot tub jets are not working properly. I know this won’t be a minor or easy fix, and it may require for the hot tub to be shut down on a prolonged period of time, but only two jets are working for a big jacuzzi. |On some of the rooms, the air conditioning unit doesn’t cool down properly even when engineering tries to fix it. This again will not be a minor fix. The ocean breeze helps a lot on this situation and windows can be opened with the screens on.|The elevator at Golden needs to be serviced by the elevator company. It keeps breaking down and it’s not on engineering’s fault. The door hinges on the elevator doesn’t close the doors properly sometimes and it cause the elevator to not work. |Some of the couches need to be reupholstered or replaced because of scratch marks from the fabrics already. It’s a pet friendly resort and some guests should really be liable if their pets damages anything in the room when they leave them unattended. |One final thing, please place a full size fridge on the presidential suites . Presidential or many executive suites I’ve been to always have full size fridges. The Presidential suites are amazing though and if you want to treat yourself, stay in one of these suites. |All and all, the place is definitely worth coming to. It’s an amazing resort with an amazing view with a great staff!

While the resort itself is beautiful and well-maintained, I was quite disappointed with several aspects of my stay. First, the parking fees feel excessive – $45 per night seems unreasonable, especially given the condition of the parking area in building section H. The area at the end of that section looks more like a storage site for old mattresses or a makeshift warehouse, which gives a very poor impression. Additionally, the $25 credit per person doesn’t go far when prices at the restaurant are so high — for example, $19 for one avocado toast and $7 for a glass of juice. It feels like every dollar counts, but unfortunately not in the guest’s favor. Overall, while the location and setting are lovely, I’m not sure I would choose to return given the value for money and overall guest experience.

It’s amazing how one person can affect your whole experience. On our case we had the amazing Tyler who checked us in. We first checked in on the app and when we got to the room it was clear it was not for us, went to the reception desk and as greeted by a very professional person named Tyler who said to us, no problem let me help you, and he did. We now are in a room that not only fits us but when we got some food and wine we continued our amazing experience here with more beautiful staff. This is our first and definitely not our last time here. I would say we found our new beach retreat. Thank you to the management and staff who clearly care about providing an incredible experience. Oh, the entertainment is a great touch.

What a disappointing experience! I booked direct, party of 6, an ocean view room. Check in was at 4, we arrived shortly after 5 and our room was not ready yet. We were offered a $50 food/beverage credit and given keys, but no room number, so the bartender couldn't comp the drinks. Our room was finally ready at 6:30, so we go up and the keys don't work. We head back yo the front desk to complain and are offered an add'l $100 food/beverage credit, but it's only good for that night. By this time the only food options were Ox and Ocean. That $150 credit didn't go far for a family of six (our children are 12, 11, 14 and 17), our bill was $270. So much for making up for the inconvenience. The issues continued. We were placed in a room that was on the end of the building. This meant that our entire room and balcony were about a foot more narrow (we stayed here the summer before and had an excellent experience). The slider is replaced by a door and small window and the other half of the wall is solid and covered by a curtain. See pics. That means no ocean view from the inside. Also, the other side of the family room wall apparently houses mechanics, we heard something cycling off and on the entire time. To enjoy the ocean view you must go on the balcony. This is completely fine as the balconies are typically large and have lots of seating, but our unit appeared to be in the exact flight of daily poop bombs of the seagulls. The unit last year did not have this unfortunate feature. Again, see pictures. Look, I understand this is the beach and they cannot control the seagulls, but cleaning the bird feces isn't part of regular housekeeping. You have to special request it and maintenance will come hours later to clean it. Except this happens daily, so it's an issue. Lastly, the shower drain was completely backed up, so not only do you end up with 3" of water in the shower and it stinks in that bathroom like sewer! The rubber seal has been removed from the bottom of the glass shower door, so water leaks all over the floor. We used more towels mopping it up than we did drying off and this is a huge slip hazard! Upon check out no one asked if we had a good stay. They really didn't seem interested.

We have stayed when this was Embassy Suites. The remodel is lovely. We had a great room. There was a glitch in the upgrade price but was handled quickly at the front desk, not perfectly as we saw it, but acceptable. The room was lovely and the view unmatched. Everyone was very friendly.|We did not have a car so don't know about the parking and safety.

We booked the resort pass for the day for our second time because we love this place so much. Fantastic for the little ones who like to have pool time and also going to the beach. What really made the experience the best was the service at the pool by Lara. She was so friendly and accommodating! Lara is definitely an asset to their service team. The young man that was working the area with her was very nice as well. Didn't get his name. On our way out I had a couple of questions for the front desk and spoke with Tylor. He was very professional and kind. We left with big smiles on our faces thanks to these team members. We 100% will be back. Those interactions with such fantastic people made it that much more memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better Sunday.

My boyfriend and I came for my birthday weekend. I was so impressed with this boutique hotel. The entire staff was so friendly. The bartender Molly was very attentive on a busy Friday evening. Our room attendant, Irma was also vey sweet. They have an adorable Airstream on the property serving up great coffee and food. We had a breakfast burrito and a sandwich which were great! There is a game room with a bar and multiple TV’s. We watched as our Dodgers play and win in the wildcard! We were lucky to have a suite with a view! The beach was so relaxing to listen to as I read a book with a glass of wine. I honestly can’t wait to come back and bring friends!
