Zacosta Villa Hotel, Old Town, Rhodes, Greece - Explore & Book

"If you like to feel special, sleep in style and get under the skin of a place, book into Zacosta, a diminutive hotel-villa-hybrid run by the ever solicitous Greek bachelor-boy John Pelidis. Named after the 15th-century Grand Master Piero Raimondo Zacosta, this six-room B&B is set near the UNESCO-classed medieval ramparts, amongst narrow, cobbled alleys in Rhodes' Old Town. Enter into a spacious Moorish-style interior courtyard with sunloungers, cushioned benches and a large table where you can enjoy alfresco breakfasts, or one of John's barbecues in summer. A vine-shaded entrance opposite opens onto the cosy bar-cum-breakfast area, and the small but comfort-packed Giardino room is just across the hallway. Climb a narrow flight of stairs to the first floor and you’ll find the bijou Raimondo room, with its view over the courtyard below. Cross the landing and you’ll enter the more grandiose Gran Maestro suite - boasting a kingsize canopy bed, spacious salon area and candlelit Jacuzzi bath. Here, you can really spread out and settle in - though be warned, you might never want to leave. We didn't. Highs Lingering over scrumptious buffet breakfasts in the tranquil courtyardJohn's flexible hospitality and helpful tips; he achieves that delicate balance of tending to your every need without ever being in the wayScrummy treats in the rooms, including Rhodian loukoumi (Turkish delight), beautifully boxed sponges and soaps, and lashings of Korres smelliesLapping up the superb location - you're an atmospheric stroll away from the Old Town’s restaurant district and nightlife along the harbour Tuning into obscure frequencies on the retro Tivoli Model One radios in your room Lows Lack of space in the Raimondo roomNo twin roomsNo service at night, but guests can help themselves to coffee and videos, and the bar has an honesty tick sheetDifficult to park nearby - call John in advance and he'll come with Zacosta's electric golf cart to assist with luggage and directions" - Heidi Fuller-Love

A fantastic place to stay, accommodation was lovely, clean and comfortable. A well located place within the old medieval part of Rhodes. Great staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Breakfasts are very tasty. ||George, the manager was the perfect host, we were met by him from the taxi drop off point in a buggy and taken to the hotel. He also offered his knowledge about Rhodes and on occasions would drop us off at the places we wanted to go, he also recommended restaurants and places to visit.||All in all it was a perfect holiday.||Thanks George and staff. A fabulous hotel in a central location at the heart of the old town. The hotel had an elegance and charm and offered real value for money whilst providing a high quality experience. The host, George, could not be faulted on his helpfulness and courtesy. The golf buggy transportation was amazing. Thank you for treating us so well

We stayed at Zacosta an again this year either side of our trip to Symi. The villa is an ideal location in Rhodes Old Town, just minutes walk away from all to see in the Old Town but in a lovely quiet area. George, John and Ire are the perfect hosts with nothing too much trouble to making your stay pleasant and enjoyable. John and George kindly picked us up on arrival at the Old Town Gate in their golf buggy and also took us to and from the port for our ferry trips. The Villa is immaculate and clean. Breakfast is a delight in the Villa courtyard. Cannot wait to return again.

We only got to stay 2 nights but we can’t say enough about how truly delightful it was. From breakfast to the comfort of our rooms, and the convenience to everything, it was outstanding. George and the staff were simply amazing and went out of their way for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Zacosta Villa Hotel and hope to visit again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Zacosta Villas. George was the man, and was so accommodating with transport to and from the gates as well as providing us with helpful recommendations for things to do in Rhodes. The breakfast was also very yummy. We wished we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend Zacosta for anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Rhodes Old Town.

Have just returned from another vacation to Rhodes. On this occasion my wife and I stayed at Zacosta Villa Hotel.|I cannot praise this hotel enough.|We were made to feel very welcome by the owner John. The manager George and Ire the housemaid.|We were met by George one of the castle gates and driven to the hotel in the hotel golf buggy. |The hotel room we stayed was immaculate. A large, very comfortable double bed and a nice bathroom with large walk in shower. The accessories in the room were. A fridge, coffee machine, safe, television, hairdryer and air conditioning.|Being English we enjoy a cup of tea. The hotel provided a kettle and mugs on request.|Breakfast was served in a delightful courtyard and was continental style ( very nice ) waffles and pancakes also available.|The hotel is located within the old town, inside the castle walls in a quiet lane within a two minute walk to the bustling streets.|Thank you John, George and Ire. This is how all hotels should treat their guests.

We stayed at this small hotel for a few days at the start of our holiday . The staff were very helpful and arranged a taxi to collect us from the airport and met us at the walls of the old town with the golf buggy , even though it was late as the flight was delayed .We enjoyed breakfast in the court yard . Its in the heart of the Old Town but set down an alley , so was peaceful . George was very helpful , he gave us recommendations for dinner and sorted out a taxi for the next stage of the journey .Its an ideal mix of being a retreat from all the busyness whilst being a minutes walk from the sights .

We stayed for a week at this absolutely superb small hotel within the medieval town. Easy walking to all the restaurants, bars, new town and harbor but tucked away down a side street away from the noise at night.| |The room was immaculately cleaned each morning and breakfast set out in the small enclosed courtyard. All the staff were very efficient and friendly , especially George who we can't thank enough for making our stay so relaxed and special. From arranging taxis and boat trips, recommending places and restaurants to visit, trying to tackle our troublesome airport transfer for us, to answering so many questions from my wife each morning that he claimed to be staying up at night to study for them! An amazing asset for a hotel to have.||I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
