Such a great find, the food is great and the service is amazing! Portions are generous, but have no regrets in trying everything recommended. The restaurant itself it beautiful and has a great vibe too. Thank you Eiad for the great service, 100% worth the visit!

I recently visited this restaurant in Amman for the first time, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch, and the staff were so professional, friendly, and welcoming. There was no waiting time, everything came out perfectly on schedule, and it truly felt worth every dinar. The ambience was wonderful — cozy, elegant, and perfect for any occasion. Overall, I’d rate it a 10 out of 12. It’s definitely a must-visit place if you’re in Amman. This was my first visit, but I’d absolutely love to come again!

10/10 experience. The restaurant is full of history. The staff is very welcoming and kind, our server Eiad was phenomenal and very professional with us. There’s beautiful outside seating overlooking the busy streets of old town Amman. The food is amazing, fresh and comes in decent portions. The coffee smelled so good. It was a very authentic experience.

Tourist Trap! ZAJAL Restaurant in Amman is a Complete Scam – Stay Away! What a nightmare experience. Zajal Restaurant in Old Town Amman is nothing but a tourist scam. We came here as a family hoping to try authentic Jordanian food, but we were ripped off from start to finish. The owner/manager acted friendly and enthusiastic while taking our order, but soon after, dishes we never ordered started arriving at the table. One steak we ordered magically became two steaks, and when we questioned it, the owner came up with a ridiculous excuse: “In Jordan, a man gets extra out of respect.” He even promised it wouldn’t appear on the bill. Of course, when the bill arrived, all those “extra” dishes and the second steak were fully charged. When we confronted him, he started spinning nonsense about “service fees” and “discounts,” clearly trying to confuse us. It was obvious this man knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s a smooth-talking scammer who preys on tourists. We ended up paying 110 euros for 3 adults and 1 child, which is outrageous for Jordan. Everything about this place screams dishonesty and manipulation. There are plenty of honest, welcoming restaurants nearby where you’ll be treated with respect. Avoid Zajal Restaurant at all costs. Don’t fall for their fake hospitality it’s just a trap.

My favorite balcony spot in downtown Amman! I absolutely love this place — every time I visit Amman, I make sure to come here with friends and family. Angela’s is always great, and the food never disappoints. This time, I tried Denies baked fish — it was so delicious! Highly recommended!

We are sitting today on the rooftop, enjoying the evening with perfect service and wondwerful food. Our server, Eyad?, was fast and kept the freshly prepared from the grill coming. The taboulee was fantastic, so were the falafel and the lamb from the grill. We had a special lemon with mint juice to drink, which was amazing, just ordered another one. Absolutely something to recommend.

A fine restaurant in Amman downtown located at the Alshamasi Stairs (Colorful Umbrella Stairs). They have a diverse menu of local food items. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. They serve vegetarian, chicken, lamb, beef, and seafood food items. They also offer non-alcoholic drinks and desserts. Their indoor seating has a touch of nostalgia to it. They have an outdoor veranda seating area with a view to old Amman downtown. Staff are friendly, service is excellent, and the food is tasty. They are priced average, and accept payment by card or cash. They also deliver. The restaurant is smoking-friendly. There are paid parking lots within walking distance.
