Zala’s Restaurant

Went for a meal with some visiting family and we had a wonderful experience. The food is superb and the location is quite secluded and quiet which was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the main city. Would highly recommend!

Excellent experience for vegetarians, the chef clearly invested in making very tasty, seasonal food. The wine selection was very enjoyable, as well as the mocktail. Relaxed atmosphere, a hidden gem close to the Dome. Michael Stipe and Candy Dulfer left autographs, which is fun.

I had the best dinner of my life at Zala's. I was nervous when I arrived since I didn't know what was going to be on the menu that day, and I consider myself a picky eater. However, Zala's did not disappoint. On the contrary, their wonderful dishes proved that even the food I thought I did not like can be done so well, that it will turn into the best mwal of my life. The salmon, the sea bass, the deer, the panna cotta, it was all wonderfully prepared, and the wines were superb. Thank you for allowing me to experience this.

Amazing experience with great food and awesome wine pairing. All dishes were of great quality, very well seasoned and the wine was complementing the dishes really nicely. Definitely recommend! You can pick the number of courses you want, and everything after is a really nice surprise. They take the diet restrictions into account very accurate.

Simple concept. One surprise chef's menu, just choose how many courses you want to eat. Some of THE best food I have ever eaten in my life! Every course of the 5 we had was surprising and absolutely delicious!!! I would recommend this chef's food to everyone visiting in Utrecht!

A hidden treasure in the old center of Utrecht. We had a phenomenal dinner! The white tuna tasted delicious. Also the vegetarian menu was superb. Excellent wine and a very warm welcome by the owner. A perfect evening!

It took us about 4 hours to have dinner here, they have a set menu and we arrived first so they served our main courses together with people that had arrived multiple hours later, making us wait very long. Very disappointing for such a price. The waiter also seemed quite inexperience.
