Zane's Tavern Snowmass

Looking for late night food? This is where it is. There is no such thing as a cheap meal in Aspen or Snowmass, but Zane's comes close. If you are trying to find great food, fantastic beer, awesome staff, and still have some money left to fix your skis or buy some magical gummy bears, this is your place. Steak sandwiches are legit (I worked in Philly). The wings are amazing. The burritos are super delicious as well. Everything is cheaper than anywhere else in the valley. This Zane's is the Best Zanes! They have better and more options than the others because they have a broiler (more melty cheeses on your nachos and other things). If you are at Snowmass make sure to check this place out early in your stay. You will likely make several more stops before you leave. Especially if you eat later at night.

The best place on snowmass mountain to grab lunch or dinner. They have a very wide variety of menu options. We are here many times during our week long stay as the food was great and affordable. They also have so many options you have to keep coming back to try them all. The staff were all nice and understanding.

Ordered the wings and basket of fries. Food was very good! The server was a rockstar! I wish I recalled her name would definitely give a shoutout! Definitely would recommend if you’d like to watch some sports, socialize with some friends and eat good wings!

Had wings and a mushroom cheesesteak. Both were excellent and the price was very reasonable. Especially for the area. We went twice and had two different servers. Both were perfect. They came to our table quickly and checked on us throughout our time there.

Amazed to find this second story gem in Snowmass Mall. Dinner with friends in a very cozy diner/bar. Being from a different time zone we ate a bit early and the bar was fairly open, though it did start to fill in as we dined. Friendly table service and a huge menu to pick from. I went fish and chips. Very affordable menu considering the area. I would definitely consider this one of the best places to eat.

They open late in the afternoon but the wait is worth it because the food is good and if you're wanting to give your eyeballs a break from the brightness then it's perfect for that as well. I recommend getting the chimichanga with green sauce but if you don't like your green sauce to be tangy then I'd get it on the side so you can distribute it wherever you want. Another recommendation is to get the chicken cesaer wrap. It packs a lot of food for the buck and is freshly prepared with lots of green lettuce and yummy strips of chicken. Other than the food being great, the atmosphere is complete with a jukebox and sports on the TV. A great way to end your day.

Please be careful when paying for your meals and drinks. They surprisingly add a few extra $$ to your check stating 'cash discount' and apparently get mad when you ask about it. The food and service were okay but getting yelled at for asking to bill us fairly is a big problem. The bartender actually kept swearing at us while we were leaving the restaurant and kept telling us that we were cheap and told us not to come back! Beware of this place, they are incredibly greedy and follow unfair business practices trying to cheat customers.

Zane's Tavern was recommended by others in our group vacationing at Snowmass Village. The atmosphere was lively and friendly and the food portions were plentiful, very good, and at a great price which was surprising being right in the Snowmass mall. We ate dinner there twice over the week. Check them out! You won't be disappointed!

Where the locals hang out! Best bar in Snowmass Village. Friendly bartenders, lots of tv's for sports fans, everything on the menu is done exceptionally well. Known for their Philly Cheesesteaks, Chicken Wings, and authentic Mexican cuisine. Best Happy Hour in the Village! Don't sleep on the eggrolls

Rating this place for what it is...a damn good place to pop in for beers and burgers that's close to the mountain and about 1/3 of the price you'll pay in the places you go just to be seen in Aspen. Serious skiers come here for solid pub fare and speedy service and for that, it honestly can't be beat! Get your food and get back on the mountain or stop by for apres with the sports lovers. Low-key divine.

If you want a place that is open till late night, this is it. This sports bar has quite a few options of sandwiches and it is good. There are other items too on the menu. The place being a sports bar is a bit loud but with the good food and quick service, it is fine.

That's how you serve a beer. The bartender Kevin was attending the whole bar and keeping the atmosphere friendly during MNF. Cool place to hang out. It seems cozy. Tons of TVs for football

Zane's is the spot for cheap and good eats in Snowmass village. They have a little bit of everything from burgers and sandwiches to Mexican food like enchiladas. My group came here twice for dinner on our week long stay in Snowmass. The food is that good. Apres ski specials until 5 pm everyday include $10 orders of tasty wings and beer pitcher specials. I got the chicken Philly my first visit and the bacon cheeseburger on my 2nd and both were awesome. I got the onion rings as my side both times because they were that good. Seriously, if anything, go try these damn onion rings! They're the bomb!

If I was local, this wood be my place. Food and drinks were reasonably priced at least for Aspen. We enjoyed our burgers and the atmosphere. The waitress we had was priceless. 7/27/24

Meh+ Philly cheesesteak would make Genos angry. The roll was dry and really sunk the plate. Great fries. Service and atmosphere were solid

Chicken Caesar wrap was good. Fries were fine. The inside is crowded, sports bar vibe, very close to an Asian restaurant so there's a lot of foot traffic outside. Aspens expensive so can't really escape the $$

This place was an unexpected treat! The atmosphere is very homey, laid back, local pub type... unusual for Aspen. We came in expecting typical bar-style appetizers, but the food was actually great! We got a few beers on tap, onion rings, habanero hot wings, and mac 'n' cheese eggrolls. Everything was incredible! Onion rings were crunchy, well seasoned, juicy on the inside! The habanero wings were a perfect blend of spiciness and flavor, paired with creamy ranch and bleu cheese. And the mac 'n' cheese eggrolls honestly had no business being this tasty - thin crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside. The sauce had a perfect amount of kick to it. Beers were great as well - we ended up ordering more of the Amber. Our waitress was lovely! Will be coming back here for sure!

Good beer in a friendly, locals atmosphere. The food looked good for typical bar menu but I didn't actually stay for dinner.

Horrible service and rude staff, really wanted to like this place and enjoy my last night in aspen, luckily we are able to find better ambience in service local places nearby

I mean Zane's is "no frills" that's for sure, but it's a great little spot and the bartender is really cool. He was so incredibly busy literally handling the entire front of house area! Anyways, he still found the time to chat with us so that was nice. It's also open pretty late and they serve food late so that was nice since we didn't get into town until like 10pm. They had this really delicious fruity/sour beer that I couldn't get enough of! So good! Also, not pictured but we had the friend cheese sticks. Not to sound gross but that's my favorite thing so I try them everywhere and they were like a 9 out of 10 haha Some dang good, crispy fish & chips too! I would say they do fried food pretty well and have a surprisingly decent sized menu too. I'm sure I'll be back :)

This place made me so sick. I got food poisoning... had I known I would've seen from other people who posted comments on this Zane's tavern that have also gotten food poisoning. People be aware do not eat here you can get violently sick.

Wow!! What a great dinner! My family and I had dinner at Zane's on our most recent trip to Snowmass. All 5 of us loved our meals. We got an order of onion rings for the table, some of the best we've all had. I had the mushroom Philly, it could have used a little more cheese but it was still delicious. My husband had the Buffalo chicken sandwich, so good! My parents had burgers, my mom said the cowboy burger was amazing! Even though this is a "dive bar", don't let that fool you! Having eaten here for YEARS, I've never had a bad meal.

The food was really good! I had the Mac n cheese egg rolls and they didn't disappoint!

Food was just what you expect from a mountain side bar. Great service, good bar food with a nice atmosphere. If you don't have a reservation somewhere, come check it out

ate in Aspen location .. really craving a juicy burger .. this is not the place .. 3oz burgers double stacked .. dry not flavorful .. and to our waitress just an fyi two 3oz burgers are not a 1/2 lbs as she discribed .. that should have been my question to exit .. i get this is a bar/ restaurant but many bar resturants have good food this one missed the mark .. and the F-bomb being yelled by a table next to us .. totally out of line for 7:30 pm .. didn't bother me as much as i felt bad for family sitting on the other side with young kids. Staff did nothing to calm it down. Acting like fools best way to discibe .. even though they appeared to be 30 they acted as if they were teenagers having thier first beer

Great service late night for our large-ish party, our server was super friendly and the food was good and filling!

Zane's is a noisy locals type bar with lots of TVs. The grilled chicken sandwich was surprisingly good. It was a thinner cut and cooked well. The fries were a bit over done. Waitress was good but never ask how everything was.

It was the only place open in town! 5 stars for that! Also, the one guy working the entire place was super efficient and deserves double tips.

Do you like going to a place in aspen where models with poodles are less important than cheesesteaks stuffed in egg rolls? Welcome to Zane's. Incredible bar food in aspen at a reasonable price. Don't sleep on the mozz sticks either. Very friendly laidback service.

Racist establishment. I came in for 6 months and everything was fine. I am white, once I brought my family here, who is black, they treated us like we weren't paying customers. They changed a $30 tab into a $70 tab, when we pointed it out they got mad at us, yelled at us and kicked us out of the establishment.

I'm giving this place a generous 3 stars because the first time I went in (a busy Friday night) the service was top tier especially since the place was packed. The next day I went back since there isn't a lot of choices for a late night dinner. And the service was the worst experience the young lady working was unapologetically rude. I'd give her a pass if it was busy but it was not at all. I called and placed an order for pick up I waited and when I was leaving my hotel I called and added onion rings to my order. I waiters 25 minutes for my order of onion rings (the last part of my to go order) and when I asked about it she said I did not call 25 minutes ago, I had already verified it with my call log it was 25 min. The way she spoke to me was disgusting. She had a horrible attitude from the beginning I didn't have an issue waiting since I knew it was last minute but I didn't think 25 minutes was a normal wait time since they were not busy. I asked to speak with a manager the other woman shrugged and said there isn't one. Another bad customer service experience in Colorado. Please pick somewhere else. The mozzarella sticks were burnt and barely had cheese in them. The wings are basic, chicken Philly a little dry, hoagie Philly was decent more veggies than anything else and the chicken tenders were burnt to a crisp and the bourbon chicken sandwich was very sweet and extremely oily. The baseball team boys I were with had to suck it up and eat it since we did not have any other options.

Good food! Chimichanga hit the spot after a long day of skiing! Good selection of brew too!

2018 review: Place serves tainted water it smells like chlorine bleach. The bartender with the beard sounds like the most depressed person I have ever met and his life is going nowhere so I understand.... lol anyway After my first round he made a snarky remark about not leaving a tip (even though I was going to leave a large tip after I was done ordering drinks) and treated a customer like shit. It seems like people visit this place because there are not many places to visit in Snowmass after 11pm. Every time I've been here I've had some type of problem but mainly with that POS bartender. If you do eat here my prayers are with you and I hope you don't wake up having to unload a massive "situation" 2020 UPDATE: still sucks Cheers

Lucky for us, we didn't run into the rude bartender that everyone seems to rant about, but Zane's was a nice little change of pace place in a town that can be pretty pretentious. It's a dive bar through-and-through. So come in expecting *kind of* dirty tables and/or floors, ripped up carpet, a few bar games, and some good rock music. A spattering of locals judging you from being out of town and spending YOUR money in THEIR bar. You won't be disappointed if you temper your expectations. Decently cheap beer and greasy bar food. The wings smelled great but we didn't get a chance to try them. Too much good food at other places nearby. A good little short-term hideaway to catch a sports game or bar hop and plan for the next place you'd rather lounge at for the rest of the night.

Zanes was great, good food, fun environment, good service. Speaking as a minority class patron, I can attest to zero discrimination. It seems it is the new-norm for people to call every experience racist, intent to hurt small businesses for what I can only assume is political motivation.

These people treated me great for a whole year, the second I brought my wife, who is black, they started treating us like trash. Messing up orders, overcharging, and just being very rude. Once I questioned why they were being so rude to us they kicked us out. Don't go here.

The service was quite slow overall even though it wasn't busy. They have a great selection of food. The sandwiches and tater tots were great, the Mexican food was very average.

Loved the food and bartender was very nice and quick to bring drinks and pub grub. Nice atmosphere, Great prices for the area-will return! PS not sure how this is an Irish Pub with no bangers and mash etc on the menu but hey was great fun!

I'm from Buffalo NY and these wings are the best I have ever had. I got the original hot and they were the perfect spice, crispy and meaty. Dive bar locals come and we had one server/bartender with a packed bar and he was on point.

Bartender called a patron the c word and then said locals only. I watched the event unfold. The patron did not not instigate the situation. Shockingly- even after the patron was called the c word - the patron did not say anything. The patron was shocked just everyone else. The female bartender then threatened to call the cops if she did not leave. Unfortunately this is the only bar open late. This is probably why the owner still makes money and tolerates its runaway staff. Eventually any bar that stays open late can easily take their customers by just having decent service since the standard are so low.

best food ive ever had i had the sweet potato fries and they were crunchy and delicious. i had the steak chimichanga and wow. amazing

Got food poisoning!!! And everything on the menu we ate utterly sucked. I was talking to the concierge at my hotel about getting sick there and she had also gotten sick from there. Moral of the story, if you dont want your vacation ruined by puking and crapping for days on end, steer clear of this cesspool.

This place rubbed me badly in a couple different ways, most of which have to do with complete lack of respect for the patrons and terrible customer service. We waited almost 5-10 minutes for anyone to come by our table with menus. After our food, we went to play shuffleboard. As we'd been playing for almost 20 mins, and about to wrap up the final game play, some fumbling overweight guy came by without saying a single word, even after we asked him what he was looking for (his stomach was hovering over our shuffleboard pieces and messing up the game) as he tried finding a plug. Soon, he plugged in a cord, and the game turned on (we didn't notice it was a paid game since they have free games like this in Boston bars). He completely ruined and ended our game as we couldn't play anymore unless we inserted 25 into the machine. We left almost immediately. We would have bought drinks and kept playing. Instead, they threw our business away for 25 cents. Never seen a restaurant that completely disregards its patrons in that way. I would avoid this place if you can.

Just the pits. Sucks this is the only option after 10:00pm. Prob just go to bed instead, shuffle board and foos don't make up for the crap staff here.

It is what it is. A nice Dive bar in "No-ass" Colorado. Great if you fly into Snowmass on the last flight in & need to eat. Good bar food. Tons of lift operator guys and snowboarders. No chicks. Hilarious. You know what they say: you don't lose a girlfriend here, you just lose your turn. Winter, this is a great bar. I can't tell you how many times I have cruised in and asked them to tune into the Charger game. ( A bronco bar that is accommodating to a gambling charger fan?) awesome! Lotsa NFL on here. Crowded in winter, but I can always manage a seat after a few minutes. Low key, pot smokers. Chill!

This is the best place to eat in the area. The wings and boneless wings are amazing. Good beers selection, bar games and quick service. The philly cheese steak and philly bites are very good as well.

The worst staff I have ever met in my life. The service is awful the Ginger bartender took about 15 mins to serve our drinks (3 people) then says my friend couldn't sit in there without an ID even though she WASN'T DRINKING. Also never even asked if we needed anything else knowing someone was not driving beer. Will never come back to this place.

Fun hangout, food was okay. I got the Philly Cheesesteak with tater tots and I thought it was good, not great. My boyfriend got the Carne Asada since he was craving Mexican food, but for the price it was awful. It was $16 for a pretty small plate of food. Not to mention the steak was sooo chewy it wouldn't disintegrate in my mouth and had to swallow the piece I cut off of his steak whole. Choking hazard. They have pool and fooseball and also an electronic PGA gold game. Pool was only 50 cents a game, so that was nice. Our total (with tip) for 2 beers, a cheesesteak, and the carne asada was about $50, so I found it to be a bit pricey for a dive-ish type bar.

My friends and I are from out of state and we have been frequenting this bar for our stay in Snowmass. We came as a big group on our last's night in town and were contributing to the establishment and tipping. Every time one of our group would go up, he would intentionally ignore us and serve others even though we had been waiting for 10-20 minutes. This bar does not respect those who do not possess an extreme amount of money. I'm very disappointed with the lack of service we received on our outing. I realize our impact as a group of younger people without the wealth that many others in this area possess will not effect this establishment in a large way but I am hurt by the lack of respect we received as diverse, young and inspired individuals.

This was the only place in town that was open. We were a bit leery due to the poor reviews but not disappointed at all. We started with the homemade jalapeño poppers, real, large peppers, stuffed with cream cheese and then wrapped in bacon and deep fried, omg!!!! They were delish!!! I ordered the boneless wings buffalo style, I knew they were going to be good when they waiter delivered them to me, my eyes and nose began to burn from the sauce, oh yeah!!! Excellent fries and blue cheese dressing. Cool bar, great music, excellent service!!!

2 stars because the food was great and the waitress was fast and nice. The downside? The bartender with the red hair is an a**. Ruined the experience for my friends and I. Noticed other yelpers seemed to agree. UPDATE: as I'm here writing this review people behind me left because the bartender is being rude. This guy is the worse and ruins this place.

Local favorite. Visitor must. Great menu, including more than a few authentic Mexican items. Always a great convo at the bar and lots of screens to watch my team blow it!!

The staff is extremely rude, unprofessional, and always seem to be standing around doing nothing. One women had the audacity to criticize me about my low tip (only ordered two shots) and make rude disparaging comments. My card declined at the next store I went to because of the amount i tipped. Had I tipped none here as i should have then a lot of bad things could've been avoided.

I don't know why this place doesn't have more stars. The food is absolutely incredible, the service wasn't incredible but it's a bar. Girlfriend and I stopped in for some snacks & drinks. We ordered 10 wings half Asian garlic chili & half regular, steak nachos, & cheese tots. The wings were crispy & saucy! Probably the best wings I've ever had, I'd recommend the Asian garlic chili, slightly sweet & spicy. The steak nachos were loaded with toppings. The cheese tots were super crunchy, loaded with queso & normal shredded cheese. Great spot!
