Zanger Hotel

Small family hotel at Goris. Good combination of price and quality. Very clean rooms. There is a private yard where it is possible to sit outside in the evenings. Possibility to serve the dinner, but need to reserve in advance. Good breakfast, but for drinks they had only coffee or tea, and no water. So not sure, if that goes for extra charge. Also it is desirable to warn them about how you prefer to have eggs prepared for the breakfast. Otherwise, you'll get it one way with no choice to change. In overall, very good impression for a budget hotel.

Hamlet, the owner, is an incredible person - full of knowledge and positive attitude. He runs the place and makes sure that everything will be in proper order. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, the breakfast is tasty and there is a beautiful garden which gives this family hotel a special atmosphere. If he likes you, he will let you taste his home made Basturma (delicious) and his peach Vodka (outstanding). He will make sure that the taxi drivers do not cheat you and help you in arranging everything - if you need (he does not push you to use his services). Great guy, full of stories. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a night as part of a tour. For a small town like Gori, Hotel Zanger was a more comfortable stay than I was expecting. ||The rooms are basic but the beds are comfortable. The water pressure was good. The wifi worked well. ||Breakfast was delicious, and included free range eggs, homemade cottage cheese, and Turkish (Armenian) coffee. ||Minor inconveniences: the lobby and hallways smell of smoke (but the rooms were fine). The doors have a frosted glass panel that allows hallway light to come in - a minor distraction for those who need absolute darkness to sleep. ||Overall, a comfortable stay in Gori.

Zanger hotel is a pretty, well-kept little house with nice terrace and garden near the center of Goris.||Goris is a charming town in southern Armenia with obvious infrastructure problems (missing or cracked street pavements, city-wide interruptions in water supply, tap water not drinkable), very green with lots of attractions nearby (ancient cave dwellings only minutes from Zanger hotel, Tatev monastery, Chndzoresk cave village).||The owners and staff are extremely friendly. There was no AC in my room, but I didn't really need it. WiFi was good only near lobby. Breakfast definitely needs an upgrade. Warm water was not always available. Private parking available.||Taking into account the price/value relation and the desolate state of city infrastructure, Zanger hotel was definitely a good choice.

Zander is the nicest hotel we stayed at during our trip. The place is quite new and well-kept. We had a room with very comfortable beds and shared bathroom a clean bathroom with other guests where soap and shampoo were available. Staff speaks Russian English and a little bit of Spanish so it is easy to get information on places to visit around town. ||Overall a place with a great value that I would definitely recommand.

This family run hotel was spotlessly clean, warm, friendly and overall a great place to stay in Goris. We really felt at home here. My friend and I stayed in a room with an attached bathroom, however even the shared bathroom was observed to be spotlessly clean. The owners were friendly , helpful and very accommodating.

In order to get to the sink you have to step into the shower tub. Hopefully you haven't had a shower before! After having a shower the water is running towards a slot between the tub and the wall and is watering your way to the toilet. W-LAN didn't work at the second floor. The router was visibly damaged. Anyway, on my request of a discount the owner gave us a rebate. In the lobby the WLAN worked properly. ||||We are vegetarians and asked for a dinner. Within one hour they served a tasty meal. Great!

After staying at top 5* hotels in many countries it was my first time to stay at very small hotel in without any stars but full of stars! In small City Goris,|Every things from check in, cleanness specially Staffs was fantastic! I really feel home and now I write this review during my second stay at this hotel,|Thanks to the family that they are owner and staffs of the hotel!|I hope to back again soon
