Zank by Toque Hotel

First and foremost I want to thank Antonia, who served us breakfast everyday for the several days we stayed at Zank by Toque. Her kindness and happiness made the whole experience feel like "home". Obrigada, Antonia. Hotel has 2 problems: lots of noise coming from a construction right next to it and a dog in a house nearby that barks a lot early in the morning. Other than that it's cool, cozy and fun. Great SPA and great massages. AND, for security reasons, you must take a taxi to Rio Vermelho main attractions after dark. Do not walk around in the evening. And have fun in Bahia!

Zank is a wonderful upscale boutique hotel in the Bohemian neighborhood of Rio Vermelho in Salvador, perched on a terraced hill, the view is amazing! Service is excellent, with only 20 rooms, it allows you and the hospitality staff to connect. It feels very stylish, comfortable and modern. There is a roof top pool for sunbathing and taking in the view of the ocean. Zank's location puts you just a short walk to many night clubs and restaurants plus the beach. However, the hill is very steep on the return, so beware. kkkk. Breakfast is the highlight! A wonderful fresh selection of breads, cakes, fruits, omelets. Zank's rooms are stylish minimalist in the modern annex, and Portuguese colonial in the main house, which is a fabulously restored 100 year old mansion. Zank is a great place for couples or a wellness retreat. There are no small children under the age of 14 allowed, it's perfect for an adult getaway.

Good hotel option in Salvador, just need adjust partnership relationships with booking operators as I was charged twice for my reservation. It was a great stay as the staff is friendly and attentive. Was able to use the facilities after check out

We read some reviews about the hotel and the pictures were amazing and that were the decision factors for booking it. |Part of it is an old building and it’s beautiful. |Our rooms, considered standard, weren’t pictured anywhere. So it was a little disappointing. Very small tv, poor fridge and bathroom. Our bed didn’t even have a headboard. The view was great and though. |My kids room had a problem with the toilet. It wasn’t flushing. |We dined there a few times and one of them when we ordered fish with almond crust and banana cream it was awful. The meat was frozen in the middle. The server tried to fix. I complained about it and all we got was an I’m sorry. |The New Year’s reception was good and beautifully done. |Not really friendly staff and manager, apart from Tatiana and Tatiane. |Pool deck (very small) with an amazing beach view.

Zank is a small boutique hotel located in the Rio Vermelho neighborhood in Salvador. It is made of 2 buildings: an old mansion (built in 1906) and a new building, which has more rooms, a gym and a rooftop swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Zank is part of “Roteiros de Charme” Hotel Association, and all of their hotels that I’ve stayed in are lovely, but this was so far the nicest. ||We stayed in the old building and the room was possibly the nicest hotel room I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. The king-sized bed and linens were very comfortable; there was a clawfoot tub in the middle of the room that was just so decadently lovely (the room also has a shower).||Breakfast was served on the veranda overlooking the beach below; it was very good. ||All of the staff were excellent, and really go the extra mile, but the bartender Domingos and bellman Cesar were exceptional (thanks!).

This hotel is good! Great location, attractive public rooms, comfortable and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms very nice, attentive service, excellent listener, good breakfasts and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Well done to all concerned! Street is safe and reception gave me some local tips and also safe advice ..( do be carefull with the cellphone and also do avoid some streets)! Only default is a sign in front the door because i forgot my room number or on the card. Nice location

We just returned from Salvador and stayed at Zank by Toque Hotel. It was lovely. The rooms were nice with a beautiful view of the ocean. The hotel has a roof top small pool with a wonderful view. there is also a patio and reading room for relaxing. Breakfast was included and it was substantial. The person at the front desk spoke English and was always helpful. I would return here.

The hotel consists of two buildings: a classic mansion over 100 years old; and a modern building in the back where most of the rooms are located. All the rooms have incredible views of the Bay of All Saints. Although they are not so large, the hotel offers several areas to relax and chill. The pool is a bit small, but large enough to enjoy the view. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
