The Best Airbnbs in Dublin, From Artists’ Studios to Secluded Cottages | Condé Nast Traveler

"I loved the clean, modern feel of this aparthotel set across four Georgian townhouses — once a nightclub — with pastel-pretty interiors, a bouncy king-size bed, an in-unit washer-dryer (not always a given in city Airbnbs) and a powerful rainfall shower; floor-to-ceiling windows offer lovely riverside views, and there’s a mezzanine bar downstairs with plenty of art and a cool industrial vibe, plus a gym and a terrace where you can do yoga or weight training before heading into the nearby Temple Bar area or the Guinness Storehouse." - Kaitlyn McInnis, Charley Ward

Just perfect. Rooms are nice and cosy af. They have everything you could ask for in there. A whole kitchen and stuff. Staff is super friendly and they offer a laundry service and also there is a gym. What would u want more? I guess for Dublin Standards it's also not too expensive :) I think it depends on the room but we had no real "view" since our window was blurred but I don't care for that. If u are in Dublin go outside yourself.

Not a luxury hotel but clean and convenient. The hotel and rooms were nice. We liked that the hotel was locked after a certain time and key card entry was necessary at several entry and exit points. The location for restaurants and pubs was great for the reasons we were there. The staff was wonderful and we also enjoyed the conscience of coffee shop in the lobby. The only real complaint we had was the bed. It was not very comfortable. The mattress seemed worn and uneven. The pillows were not good. This was my second stay in Dublin. I don’t think I would pick this place again but also wouldn’t refuse it as an option. We enjoyed our stay overall.

The room was compact yet beautifully designed, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Every detail was thoughtfully considered. We especially loved the pantry area with its small dining space and the large, comfortable sofa. Very recommended!

stayed at the Zanzibar over the Thanksgiving holiday after flying in from the U.S. and planning to spend a few days in Dublin. The front desk kindly allowed me to check in early (for an additional fee), which I appreciated. However, upon arriving in my room—located on the back side of the building—I discovered that there was massive construction taking place directly outside my window. This was not light maintenance. It involved jackhammering, power saws, metal pipes being dropped, and multiple power tools running simultaneously. The work started at 7:00 a.m. sharp and continued until 7:00 p.m. every single day of my stay. For someone arriving jet-lagged and expecting a relaxing, premium experience, this made the stay extremely uncomfortable. I paid a premium rate for my room, and this level of noise—and the fact that it was literally right outside the window—was absolutely not reflective of the price point or the expectations set by the hotel. I emailed hotel management and even sent videos documenting the noise beginning at 7:00 a.m., yet I have received zero response. Overall, while the staff were polite, the lack of communication from management and the failure to disclose such significant construction made the experience incredibly disappointing. I would not have booked this property had I known.

We stayed in a twin studio on the 6th floor at the back of the building overlooking Strand Street Great. On the surface the room was lovely, but lots of niggles which only become apparent when you come to use it; no luggage rack, bracket prevented the soap dispensers in the shower from dispensing, kitchen door handles were difficult to grasp if you have arthritis, hidden cutlery draw, cold bathroom radiator, no side table by the sofa, only 1 blanket and 4 hangers, no bathrobe or slippers, WiFi code emailed to us, which meant you needed WiFi to retrieve the WiFi code! There was a substantial amount of noise during the day coming from a construction site over the road, but this did not affect us during the evening/night. The room was clean and tidy apart from a suspicious stain on the rug. On a happier note, the staff were a delight, there were a good number of USB charging points, the location was fantastic and the overall feel & ambiance of the hotel was lovely. We didn't use the cafe/restaurant or gym, so can't comment on those. Unlikely to use again, as I did not think it was value for money.

Spent a week at Zanzibar Locke. The hotel was great in central location, very walkable. Staff gave excellent recommendations and were helpful. Beds were comfortable. The only downside was the construction noise outside our window starting at 6:45am and continued through 7pm Monday-Friday and then 8am on Saturday. We had booked the night prior to arrival to get some sleep after a red eye flight but was a waste of money. Would definitely stay here again when construction is complete.

Perfect location. Easy access to everything that is Dublin but away from the noise and congestion. Rooms are comfortable and the galley is fully appointed and easy to use. The bathroom is lovely. The staff is always friendly and professional. The only drawback is, like all other hotels, the cost practically doubles during summer or peak season.

My friend and I spent five nights here and had a wonderful experience. The staff were warm and attentive, our room was peaceful and well-appointed, and the towel warmer added an unexpected touch of comfort. The location was ideal, with restaurants and attractions all within walking distance. We’d gladly stay again!
