Zarco Residencial - Rooms & Apartments

We stayed for 1 night. We received the room next to the reception and the hallway. This fact made the stay a bit unpleasant as it was to loud. The person from reception wanted to charge the tourist fee for 3 persons, without asking how old is the child. Not very professional. The room is very clean, towels are like new. Breakfast is decent. Location is great, in the historical center, a bit loud at night but is nice to walk around and have the hotel near after you spend some time out. We stayed in Funchal at 4 hotels. This ranks 3rd.

We stayed at Zarco B&B Bed & Breakfast this week in Madeira. Unfortunately, on the second day of our stay, €100 was taken from my crossbody bag in the wardrobe during the day when we were hiking. Immediatelly, When I reported this, the staff member did not make any real effort to resolve the issue – she just said she would ask the cleaner - answer "i know her and she said she did not touch anything" She expressed regret, but I was only told that I should keep my money in the safe and not in my bag.||I want to warn all future guests to be extremely careful with their belongings here. I also urge the management of Zarco B&B Bed & Breakfast to take serious action to ensure this does not happen again and that tourists are properly protected.||Apart from this incident, the breakfast, location, and overall condition of the hotel were fine, and we would have been satisfied. However, losing money on the very first day and feeling unprotected completely ruined the experience for us. ||To be honest, i am not angry, but very sad and dissapointed because this never happened to me in my life in hotel and I fell in love with Madeira ;/

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. The breakfast was extensive and delicious, offering a great start to the day. I was especially surprised and delighted when they prepared a takeaway breakfast for my early flight—such thoughtful service!||The only downside is the stairs, which can be challenging if you have heavy luggage. However, this minor inconvenience doesn’t take away from the overall great experience. I would definitely recommend Zarco B&B to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.||Lisa

We enjoyed staying at Zarco very much! The location is so convenient, room is clean, staff are friendly. A special thanks to André, as he is always happy to help and always welcoming whenever we see him ☺️.|Breakfast is very nice, and we even got packed lunches on the day we checked out.

Really good location and the price ! Also the one of the receptionist is very helpful and suggested good bars and restaurants around. Also helps that he’s super cute 😉

The walls are thin in that you can hear people walking around and up and down the stairs but honestly? It was clean, the continental breakfast was great (has a really neat automated espresso/milk machine as well as fruit, cereal, yogurt, pastries, fresh bread, and more) and the staff is really nice about helping you get your luggage up the stairs. For the price and location? Worth a little bit of extra noise (honestly I'm from a city so it wasn't any worse than staying downtown in any other city)

Really central place to stay. Nice clean rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff

Great location, it's the city centre. Around 100m to the sea, and a few minutes to the main square. The rooms were small but perfect to stay for a few days. If you plan to spend some time in the room, find a different hotel, but if you spend most of the time outside, it's great to spend the night there. There were a lot of restaurants and a bar around, but we had double windows, so the noise was not so annoying, if you're a light sleeper, take earplugs with you and you'll be fine. Good breakfast. several types of bread and rolls, plus Ham and Cheese, eggs, and some vegetables. several types of breakfast cereals and fresh fruit. A few juices and coffee. For me, it was fine. That was a better breakfast than in other hotels I was in the past.
