I was really looking forward to enjoying some delicious crab, but I didn't end up doing so, unfortunately. There was too much salt on the crab meat, but also a weird aftertaste that I didn't enjoy. Could be something they marinate the crab in to tenderize it, before cooking it. To sum up, most of the things we tried were not bad, but this place is mostly famous for their crab, and that's the thing I enjoyed the least.

A special seafood address with one unmissable dish: crabs! Zarkadoulas is a small shop with a few tables. The staff is very welcoming and the menu doesn’t have a lot of options but some very solid ones. The best for me was the crab, especially the legs. Although this is Atlantic crab, the way it’s cooked and the atmosphere makes this place very special. Then comes the marinated anchovies in carrot - delicious. Tarama was also the best I have had in Athens. A different type of seafood in Athens, very humble and down to earth place, definitely worth trying!

I went there only to have crabs and I discovered that they also have delicious shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection and I loved it and devoured it all. I will come back and have more crabs. Keep up the good work 👏.

One of the best places in Athens for crabs 🦀 specially, I like the food super tasty 😋 the atmosphere at afternoon was great, they open at 7pm so be aware if you want to go there , it’s around 45min from the center of Athens by public transport, highly recommended.

Crabs, shrimps , calamari, etc. Whatever on the table is simply delicious. Price- quality, more than fair! Service is optimum! No waiting for food, disponibility, and gentilnes at the peak! Very satisfying experience!

Tiny place, old fashioned, 40 years of operation and so cute and cozy. Usually busy so better make a reservation especially on the weekends. Parking on the surrounding streets. Excellent Grilled Crab and humongous shrimp. Prices on the higher side but well deserved. We asked for a fish soup but there wasn’t available. Friendly service, definitely recommended

Place to go for trademark crab dish. Sidewalk seating and decor gives you a typical old fashioned Greek fish taverna. I really enjoyed all their dishes I highly recommend it.

Words cannot describe how excellent the entire experience was! Food was among the best I've had in a long time, absolutely delicious tastes. Service was impeccable as well. A beautiful locale that transports you back to a different era. Absolutely worth it!
