Love the gyros and spanikopata ! Finally tried the Greek burger and so glad I did! It was fantastic! Cooked perfectly with a delicious cheese and bun. The Greek fries were also great ! The classic burger was also excellent! The gyro pizza is delicious! Can't say enough good things... definitely a local place I don't want to see close! Try it...you won't be disappointed?

After reading good reviews on Google, went last night to pick up food. They have good menu to choose from we ordered chicken gyro and grilled vegetables gyro. Both were good. Very nice and clean restaurant, they have tables to dine in. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They cooked every order fresh. Definitely will go back again.

Zaro’s has been open for nearly 30 years and now I know why! Their food is the real deal! The flavors are authentic and everything is homemade and very fresh! The staff treats you like family as soon as you walk in. They just reopened their dining room on Friday and Saturdays night and launched some great new menu items. The spanakopita was the best I’ve ever had, along with the baklava! Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. It’s such a great value and I already can’t wait to go back!

The food is fine, but the chef kills the vibe of the place. “If you don’t know what Soulvaka is don’t come here” is what the chef said after the lovely girl at the front asked me a question for clarification.

This place is hands-down my favorite spot for eats. I am thoroughly satisfied and go full-on big back every time I come with absolutely no shame. The food and the service is outstanding! This visit I tried the saganaki burger and it lived up to all expectations.

After being a long time patron of the Greek Grill down the block and then them going completely down hill, I decided to try Zaro’s instead. Wow!!! I’ve been missing out!! Zaro’s is the BEST Greek food I’ve ever had!! I’ve been back several times now and each time is just as incredibly fresh and delicious as always! Pricing is incredibly fair too. I’m so happy to have found this spot, I wish I found them sooner! Definitely my new go-to! Thank you Zaro’s!!!

Great Greek food! Saganaki was delicious! Owner came out with extra chicken souvlaki for the table for us to try. I had lamb souvlaki over Greek salad. Lamb was tender, salad fresh. Strongly recommend. They also have $10 gyros.

Really affordable! Gyro on pita for $10 carry away. Love how generous they were with the side of tzatziki and the meat was tender and well seasoned. The lettuce, tomato, onion was also plentiful. Lots fell out of the pita but I asked for a fork on the side and that did the trick. Will definitely stop in to sample more from the menu. I only stopped in for a few minutes but the service was warm and friendly too.

I came here today for lunch while I was working. They have a great lunch Special food was terrific and the staff were fantastic. I'll definitely come back again.

I was in the Huntington Station area and I couldn't help but stop by one of my old favorites growing up. Zaro's Cafe is still going strong after 30 plus years. I had to get a gyro which is one of the best on Long Island! The family was still there with smiles and delivering great service. I got home took a bite that gyro was still amazing as it was from the beginning. This place is really a hidden gem that deserves a spotlight. They have a nice dining room to dine in and highly recommend stopping in and staying in. I wish I was a close as I was when I grew up to this place. The food and service is great!

Zaro's, please taste your falafel and your onion sauce. I think a box of salt fell into the mixtures. One box fell into the falafel mix and one fell into the onion sauce. It was not edible. I'm picturing Gordon Ramsey screaming, "taste this!" And having a heart attack at the sheer level of salt in these 2 things. Your salad was good and very well presented so there's that, but I beg you, please fix the salt issue!

Family owned family run. All the food is fresh and made to order. Some favorites were the chicken parm lamb gyro and thin pizza. Service is great. I will def add this to the takeout rotation

I can see why they're celebrating 30 years of service! The food is fantastic, all Greek originals and some Italian dishes too. Everything is fresh and made to order and if you're looking for a spanakopita gotta be an early bird because they sell out fast! You're greeted the moment you come in like you're part of the family. They have all Greek sites painted so it's like you're on vacation. It's a fun family filled vibe and the food is just awesome. If you're looking for great deals they got 'em. 2 gyros for $15 like you can't beat that!

I recently arranged a group dinner for 16 people at Zaro's Cafe. Everyone raved about the food. Everything was delicious. The salads were fresh. The appetizers were scrumptious. The entrees were mouthwatering. And the dessert -- nothing bad can be said about fresh cheesecake and chocolate cake! The staff went above and beyond and were attentive to all our needs. We were not rushed. The dishes were not served one on top of another, as in some restaurants. It was a very relaxed and wonderful evening. Every person in our group agreed it was a fun and delicious dinner. We will be back.

Delicious. Best Greek food. I love this local Huntington restaurant that is around the corner from the Walt Whitman mall. Fresh salad, hummus, gyros and chicken Slouvaki sandwiches. My friend got salmon on Greek salad and loved it. I highly recommend this reasonable restaurant. Healthy food at a great price. My favorite.

31 (Almost 32 years) and still the go to place for Excellent food served by a gracious family that has been a steadfast staple of the area. Good restaurants are few and far between. Those that make you feel at home rarer still. So come. Taste the food. Enjoy the people. Bring friends. Good food is better when shared. Save room for the baklava.

Don't post as often as I should but I want to especially single out the owner of Zaro's for being so friendly and welcoming to us at a recent casual business lunch. It was my first visit but likely won't be my last. The food was also delicious - had Greek Salad topped with Chicken Souvlaki. Baklava for dessert was perfectly executed - crispy and not syrupy sweet.

This place rocks!!! Edmond offered me to come in for lunch and rate the food, so I do just that. My chicken gyro was superb. The meat was sliced to perfection, the lettuce, tomatoes, and tomatoes, and onions were fresh and the white sauce was made perfectly. This gyro is top tier in Huntington for sure. Ben the chef is out of this world, he makes everything on the spot and it's delicious. Sara was amazing, she was smiling the entire time and also gave me some chicken souvlaki to try and that too was outstanding!!! I was very impressed. Service was top notch. The seating is clean, and very nice! The decor is very Mediterranean & Greek. I love this spot! I recommend it to all of Huntington and beyond. Edmond you wasn't lying when you said "We have the best food in Huntington". That is very true!!!!!!! The food was so amazing that I took pics of everything else but that, because it was already in my stomach

Seriously amazing Greek food and super friendly people. We were leaving the Walt Whitman mall and craving Greek food. This place was the closest and did not disappoint. We walked in and were greeted so warmly by Corinne, the owner that you would have thought she knew us for years. The restaurant is clean and well-staffed. They were cooking/preparing to celebrate their 30 year anniversary (which is today) but still very helpful and attentive toward those of us dining in house last night. We ordered at the counter and sat down. They brought over napkins and silverware and served our chicken souvlaki platter (very flavorful and juicy chicken served over rice pilaf with peppers and mushroom- AH-MAZING!!!), came with a small Greek salad(loved their dressing and that it came with hot peppers and a grape leaf since many restaurants skimp on those necessities), also served with their delicious tzatziki sauce and warm pita bread (seriously so good!!!), spanakopita (easily one of the best I've ever had and I am Greek/been to Greece many times), chicken Caesar salad (dressing was also very good and chicken was cooked perfectly). There are no good Greek take out spots near me so this place will be our new spot.

My daughter and I went today for lunch. We ordered a large Ceasars salad to share. We also ordered the 2 for $17.99 Gyros. Everything was delicious and the staff was very pleasant. Great place. I will be back again, and you should definitely give them a try if you haven't already.

Had a wonderful time attending a group dinner at Zaro's cafe. Good choice of appetizers. My eggplant parm. was especially delicious. Chocolate cake for dessert was a winner. Attentive and caring service. Would definitely return.

Ordered a large salad with gyro. I was given only 1/2 a pita with a large salad, which is extremely skimpy. There were only 3 cucumbers and 3 grape tomatoes cut I half. The amount of gyro meat was also minimal for a large salad. I called inquiring about the half a pita, thinking it was an accident, and they told me that because it's a thicker pita, they only have half for any salad. So cheap!! Had to add our own cucumber and tomato to make it a decent salad. Will not be returning!

Food was exceptional. Good home cooking except not at home! Lemon chicken soup was exceptional. Customer service was friendly. Nothing fancy inside just good food good service. Definitely coming back.

This place is seriously amazing!!!! Firstly it's family owned and by the nicest family you will ever meet! And of course the food is incredible (possibly the best chicken we've ever had) you can't go wrong with anything on this menu. The hummus was so fresh and they have such huge menu it's great for everyone! Can not recommend this place enough!!!!!

Amazing ! Our waitress is so pretty and was beyond attentive and helpful ! So Super sweet ! FOOD is so delicious ! Hummus so yummy! The fresh bottled Greek dressing WAS KILLER! We ordered staff lunch from Zaro's and the food put smiles an everyone's face. The salads were fresh and tasty. Folks loved the gyro and the chicken and my son gobbled up his spaghetti and meatballs. The service was great. We will be back.

I lived in Astoria for a long time and was surrounded by amazing Greek food options. Then we moved here and found this place! We love the family deal and order here a few times a month. I'm sorry I felt the need to update again their review. Consistently Zaro's deserves another 5. We haven't been in awhile and low and behold when we stopped in we were remembered! Awesomeness!!! Anyway! Come here if you're craving awesome Greek food and you want some great and friendly customer service. PS - We also tried the Baklava. Off the charts amazing!!!

I enjoyed my meal here. We started off with Mozzarella Caprese which had fresh mozzarella layered with sliced tomatoes, roasted peppers & basil, drizzled with our homemade balsamic vinaigrette. It was very good. For my main course I had chicken souvlaki with rice. The tziki sauce was delicious. Edmund and his family were very friendly and provided great service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

What an awesome find for us!!! They've been here for 22 yrs and after enjoying our huge meal we understood why. Owner and staff are super friendly and make you feel at home. Portions are huge, fresh and really good. We'll definitely be back! Loved it much more than the Greek spots in town (Huntington village), sorry guys!!! The restaurant is cozy and has your usual Greek feel with the painted murals on the wall. So don't be fooled by the big Pizza signage outside. They do Greek and Italian, and as we were craving Greek, we stuck to that part of the menu. Warm bread is brought out after you're seated, some iced lemon water and then be ready to loosen your belt! *Gyro platter ($14.50): Greek salad to start (fresh, vinegary, lots of feta and a good starter). Then comes a large platter of rice with tiny noodles mixed in (awesome rice! This stuff was amazing. I usually avoid rice when out but this was GOOD) and it's topped with tons of freshly carved (shaved?!) gyro meat. So good. Great seasoning and you can tell they just trimmed it. Fluffy pita and yogurt dip with garlic galore on the side. *Chicken gyro platter ($15.50): same as above but topped with tons of chicken gyro. *Zaro's combo platter ($17.50): choice of 3 and all the starters/sides above. Hubby went with chicken souvlaki, pork souvlaki and shrimp (marinated fresh shrimp). All grilled perfectly, juicy and fresh. So much food he didn't finish. Actually we all took home leftovers!! And they gave us extra yogurt sauce for home :) Great experience and we're looking forward to our next visit!

I'm not really sure where to begin. My family has been eating here for years. We've lived in Dix hills for over 30 years and have been eating at Zaro's for almost the entirety of our lives here. The food is delicious. Truly always a treat. Their Greek chicken salad is a staple for my lunches. The chicken is always juicy and so flavorful, and they always have the perfect proportions of everything. Always so well balanced. ALWAYS TRY THE DINNER SPECIALS. They are always amazing. They have a great value offering for people who like to wine and dine (in.) The staff is so friendly, I find the fact that it's family owned and everyone works there so lovely. I adore everyone there. They're always so welcoming and happy to see familiar faces. Wether you're coming to dine in or take-out, this institution of Huntington is A MUST!

Went to this place cause everyone's been telling me how great this place is. This is a perfect example of an excellent family owned restaurant. Would go again.

Though we love the food here we recently have had strange experiences with our food orders being prepared incorrectly. We will try them again since our local greek salad options are limited.

I was surprised how busy this place was and in light of the good reviews I decided to try the gyro sandwich it was average meat but the yogurt sauce was tasty probably worth a three and half stars but I doubt I'll return and what serious Greek place makes pizzas too but only by the pie...People In Suffolk for the most part have low standards...

Zaro's catered a party for 20 last weekend and it was AMAZING!!! Appetizers were absolutely delicious!! In addition to fabulous penne ala vodka and Chicken Parm, we had the fresh, fresh ingredients for MAKE YOUR OWN GYRO that was a huge hit. A full tray of delicious sliced lamb, fresh tomatos, lettuce, red onion, plenty of pitas, more than needed Tzatziki sauce, and everyone enjoyed making and devouring!!!!!! Edmond was fantastic with the ordering and set up. The Greek salad was EXCELLENT as well. If you are looking for something different for a catered party, go to Zaro's. It's a five-star establishment. Came in for a late lunch after a long day of traveling. We were quickly taken care of for our to go order and they prepared everything fresh in front of us. It took him about 5 minutes to do so. We both got gyro sandwiches with fries but ended up splitting one because it was a lot of food! The gyro was delicious (I definitely need to order the extra feta next time) and the flavors were perfect! The fries were also delicious. This will definitely be a go-to place for me in the future and I'll make sure to get their baklava because it looked amazing!

Zaro's has been my go to place for Greek food since I was introduced about 2 years ago. I know there are like 3 Greek places in Huntington village which are conveniently located about 5 minutes from me vs. this place which is about 15-20 but it's that yummy that I make the trip out here and sit salivating on the car ride home.... I didn't give it more stars because every time I order the prices change when I basically get the same food each time. And most of the workers are pleasant I find the owner a little brash and bordering obnoxious. But she's doing something right because I keep coming back. LOL. The usuals: Chicken Soulvaki sandwhich: so yummy and big portions. The chicken is always fresh and cooked properly. Sometimes though I get wilted lettuce which stinks. But big portions! Spinach Pie: also a big portion. Enough to share with a friend. Fresh. Sometimes though they crisp it a little tooo much to the point if burning the corners. I wish it had just a little more feta in there. Greek Pizza: nice portion. Very yummy. That pretty much explains it lol Yogurt sauce(I'm sort I don't know the correct spelling and didn't want to kill it lol) SOOO delicious I want Quarts of it! Not too garlicky and such a compliment to just about any dish!

Great food and great value. Food was tasty and portions were decent. Either my dad or they forgot to give us our soft drinks for dinner, but we called and they were very attentive and noted we can get them anytime on next order. Will definitely return.

Zaro's has amazing greek and Italian good with quick counter service and a nice quiet dinning room. Definitely a local kept secret. My and my girlfriend go here all the time for their mussels and their gyros. Everything we have had thus far has been out of this world! HIGHLY recommend! Keep it up Zaro's!!!

I love this place the lamb souvlakia is always good and the waitress is lovely! I am never disappointed, the serving time is prompt and the food is hot. The price is moderate. It's located by 110 and Jericho Tpke. All in all I love this place!

Greek, Italian and Pizza something for everyone. We ordered to take out and the food was hot and ready when we got there. Lamb gyros, lamb kabob, chicken gyro all were very good, the platter option comes with Greek salad and rice. The rice was outstanding sweet and oniony at the same time. Portions were large with only 2 of the 4 of us able to finish. Save room for the baklava!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would just based off how gross the food was. I ordered a small horiatiki salad, a Greek cold antipasta and a side of pita bread. I specifically asked the person who was taking my order over the phone if the Greek antipasto included stuffed grape leaves as the menu said, to which they responded yes. When I got home from picking up my order, I opened the Greek antipasto to find 4 olives, 2 cucumbers and the rest consisted of hummus already mixed up with a tasteless (literally had no taste) baba ghanouj. No taramosolata or stuffed grape leaves. The salad was soggy and bland. When I called back no one picked up even though it was only 2 min after 9pm. What a waste of money. I'm hangry and disappointed .
