Zawadi Hotel Zanzibar

I had an incredible experience at the Zawadi Hotel during my first visit to Zanzibar. My boyfriend had stayed at the hotel many times before, and he couldn't have made a better choice. From the very beginning, I experienced paradise; the view was heavenly, and the food tasted incredible, with natural ingredients and tropical flavors. All of the staff were professional and welcoming. Evelyn took care of every detail for the guests. Ali, Raza, and Hidaya were always kind and greeted us with fabulous smiles. Abdul showed us around the farm and took care of the kayak trip. They provided a wonderful experience. The staff made us feel welcome and at home with positive energy, which made all the difference. I leave with a grateful heart and recharged with positive energy.

My wife and I have just returned from an unforgettable stay at this exceptional resort in Zanzibar, and we are already planning our next visit. From the moment we arrived, everything about Zawadi exceeded our expectations in every possible way.||The quality of the food was absolutely incredible. Whether it was the breakfast buffet with fresh tropical fruits, pastries, or the four course dinners with recommended wines, the food was consistently outstanding. Zawadi's ||food challenges many of the best restaurants I've been to.||The staff here were nothing less than extraordinary. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From the genuine happiness at check-in to the attentive service during our meals, it felt like they genuinely cared about making our stay perfect. || The villas were pure luxury. We stayed in a private villa with an ocean view, and I can’t imagine a more idyllic setting. The design was elegant yet comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully planned – from the spacious interiors to the outdoor plunge pool overlooking the beach. It was the perfect balance of privacy and luxury.||Zawadi is set in one of the most beautiful parts of Zanzibar, with a small white sandy beach and crystal-clear waters, with brilliant snorkeling straight off the beach. It’s the kind of place where you can simply relax as soon as you arrive.||This was truly a perfect holiday, and I can’t recommend this resort highly enough. If you’re looking for a luxurious escape in one of the most beautiful places on Earth it'll be hard to beat Zawadi

It was my second time in Zawadi. Now I know for sure that I’ll need a third. No other place on earth makes you feel so deeply connected to the ocean and that sky.||You start to slow down and after a short while you will begin to understand what Africa means. Pole, pole is the way to go. Slowly, slowly. ||The bed in the villa is amazing and you fall asleep while watching the stars. The food was even better than the last time, if possible. ||The view from the pool is stunning at every hour. The staff is truly exceptional. I had the feeling that in between 24 hours they knew our habits. ||The room was always clean and refurbished, drinks arrived at the pool without asking. We were really impressed by the love and effort everybody was putting in their work. From the gardeners, to the waiters, receptionists and manage. That’s what makes this place really unique. It’s “how” they do their work. With a smile. And great care. ||This place is a gem of style, elegance, kindness and beauty. And I say it by heart, it still resonates in me. I’m from Rome and the Romans used to say that if you want to build in a place, you have to choose a place with a soul. They called it “Genius loci”. Zawadi has plenty of soul to offer. Pure magic …. Difficult to find the words to describe the beauty of this boutique hotel reserved to guests above 16 years. All was perfect: stunning views of the ocean and its shades of blue; direct access to the ocean regardless of tides for swimming, great snorkelling (during low tides), kayaking and SUP; long walks on desert beaches during low tides; the fantastic ladies at the spa; the fab food and service ( with excellent option also for vegetarians like me); the relaxed atmosphere; the organic farm in situ (!); and last but not least the extremely private, comfortable, elegant villas … I just wished I could have stayed longer!

Always attentive to your needs. The cleanliness is unparalleled. I have traveled extensively... but Zawadi is like home, even better. |The villas are beautiful and very spacious.|Beautifully decorated, each villa has its own pool.|Each villa faces the ocean... My wife and I spent a week here on our honeymoon and we couldn't recommend it more highly - it was the perfect place for us. Every member of staff was incredibly kind and helpful at all times. The food and drinks were consistently a very high standard - we ate a lot of amazing seafood (and there were other great options as well) and we have never been somewhere that has catered so well for gluten-free food. The setting is beautiful, with huge and very comfortable villas that have their own decking and plunge pool. The gardens, pool and views are all amazing and we really enjoyed the snorkelling trip. Thank you for making our stay so special.

My wife and I stayed at Zawadi for 5 nights from the 25th-30th November this year and it was nothing short of spectacular.||The villa was amazing, everything looked and felt new and it was always kept immaculately clean.||The staff are amazing, eveyone knew our names and impressively quickly knew our preferences for food and drinks - Bernard, innocent, Ally, Raza and everyone else we met really made our stay special. The food is unbelievable, high end fine dining and surely chasing a Michelin star. The lunch and dinner menus changed daily and I only wish I could have eaten more!||If you are looking for somewhere to stay I cannot recommend Zawadi enough, our only mistake - is that we didn’t stay longer.||We will return.||Stuart & Caroline

From the moment you walk in until your tearful departure, it's the experience of a lifetime. We had an incredible honeymoon. 7 nights of total bliss, relaxation, food, drink, smiles, laughs, swims, naps and cocktails. Definitely the best holiday experience we've ever had.
