This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and I was not disappointed. We ordered one vegetarian and one meat tasting platter, both with injera, and a chicken curry rice. My parents also ordered the coffee, which came with popcorn, and they liked it a lot.
Personally I didn't really like the injera (don't come @ me), but I thought that the vegetables and lentils tasted really great, and there were so many different flavours! It was definitely a unique experience. I think that the vegetarian dishes were better than the meat dishes, as the meat was a bit dry. I don't eat meat, but I tried some of the sauces they used for the meat and let's just say that I much prefer the taste of the vegetable/lentil dishes. Plant based ftw! Anyway, prices were on par with every other restaurant in Yellowknife, portions are decent, and I really liked the variety that they offer with the tasting platters. If you come here, I think that the best thing to get would be the vegetarian tasting platter.
