Google
Awesome place with great amenities. I didn’t realize it was practically walking distance to Bronners, which was nice! The water park was plenty for my nephews to do, and the arcade was small, but a good variety of games. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good! Room was VERY clean, which is the most important thing for me.

We took our kids to the waterpark on New Year’s Day and ordered pizza, wings, and a salad from the Elf Café around 9:00 PM. After waiting 20 minutes, we asked if the food could be delivered to our room. An hour went by with no update, so we called the front desk and were met with an extremely rude attitude instead of help. At 11:00 PM, we had to get dressed and walk down ourselves. The manager on duty was dismissive and rude and said a refund would be handled “through accounting,” yet refused to provide a receipt. I paid in person with my child using a 100$ bill, and received my correct change from the gentleman working. After more attitude from both the café and front desk, they finally handed us our food… which was over two hours old and completely cold. We asked again for a refund and were still refused. No apology. No accountability. No effort to make it right. Cold food, no refund, and incredibly unprofessional customer service—especially for a family-focused hotel. Spending $61 for a two-hour wait and being treated this way is unacceptable. Completely disappointed. Looking for someone to post this video I took of the service that was received and also left other patrons baffled at what was being said by the staff. Please reach out.

We were pleased that our rooms were ready early on arrival date. They were very clean with comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and the lifeguards attentive. We ordered pizza for dinner and lunch the following day. The prices were fair and the pizza was delicious! We all had a blast, thank you!

Google
I'll start with the bad. I know air temperature can be personal preference, but the waterpark was freezing. We couldn't stay because of it and that was supposed to be the highlight/main reason for our trip. Huge disappointment. Another negative was kids yelling and screaming from across the hall until midnight. You'd think security would walk through every once in awhile and have issue with that but apparently not. The good. Almost everything else. Check in was fast, the service in the café was good, they upgraded our room for free and it was very clean and seemed updated. The tower pool is nice and actually had a reasonable temperature for swimming. It's close to Bronners. This place could be 5 stars, and that's why I wanted to leave a review.

Google
I absolutely love spending family time here. The staff has been amazing. The renovated rooms are very tasteful, yet modern. The amenities are on 👉. The breakfast bar is a great addition, same with the chicken dinner voucher, or pizza vouchers. I'm pleased with the trip entirely. 😊

Google
I am never going back. Grew up going here but as an adult many rules have changed. I spent $150 just to barely get a spot in the hot tub full of 3 year olds peeing. There used to be a capacity limit on how many people are able to be in the hot tub. Not only this but the people that go here act very entitled will never go back. Watch your kids and do better.

Google
Would definitely recommend Zehnder's Splash Village for a fun family trip. We stayed Thursday to Sunday. Rooms were more spacious than a typical hotel room and seemed clean and updated. Easy walk within the hotel to the waterpark. They offer room service and will deliver food to your table at the waterpark. Food wasn't anything special. But all-around, would definitely come back

Google
Stayed with the family for a night at Zehnder's Splash Village. The room was great and the location of the property was ideal. The older kids loved the water slides. The park was smaller than some of the larger indoor water parks, but this is reflected in the price. The fact that it is smaller does not lessen the potential for fun, but it does make it less crowded. No worries about finding seating or waiting in long lines. We did not take advantage of the restaurant due to food allergies within the family, but their menus appeared to have great options.

Yelp
Great price for an all it included. Super fun and kid friendly. Stuff for every age and the drop slide was a blast. Definitely recommend checking out if you are in the area :)

Yelp
I had a pretty fun time overall and wouldn't mind visiting again in the future, although I do have a few criticisms with the place. I'll start with the good stuff. Most of the park is kept at a tropical temperature, so you don't freeze too much when you're out of the water. The water is mostly kept shallow, which is a plus for me since I'm on the short side. The rides were fun! I went on the 4 person raft ride and the 2 person raft ride. The stairs to get up to the 4 person ride were many! Don't skip leg day! I spent a lot of time in the toddler area because it was one of the warmer and safer spots for my preschooler. The food was all surprisingly good. My friend purchased an antipasto salad and pretzel breadsticks, and I purchased French fries and pizza. The breadsticks were warm and airy, the salad was fresh and crunchy, the fries were breaded which is probably the most delicious kind, and they don't charge extra for pizza toppings so you can customize it however you'd like and the crust was fluffy and soft. The cons are: noticeable scum along many of the poles and grates in the pools, the strong chlorine scent gives you a headache after the first few hours, and the ticket cancellation policy. I saw a teenager with ringworm on his leg, and it looked like there was a bandaid on it at some point due to the lingering adhesive glue, but still. Tickets are nonrefundable once purchased. I'm not sure if they allow for trips to be rescheduled, but I'm sure this influences whether a family comes to the waterpark despite having ringworm (highly contagious!). All in all, I was really having a decent time until I saw the kid with ringworm, especially when he rested his calf on the double tube raft. That's very unsanitary. I told the worker that was overseeing the ride and he looked like it was above his pay grade to deal with, understandably. I'm guessing they aren't trained to notice public health issues. My daughter was asking if we can come back in the summer. I wouldn't mind coming back here again sometime in the future, but it will definitely be a while from now so I can forget about the chlorine smell.

Yelp
We had such a great time for a July 3rd stay. We were able to walk to the fireworks at Heritage Park (we had three families stay and 6 kids walked too). The waterpark was great and the lifeguards were on top of their game. The only criticism I have is that both food stations in the waterpark were not open and the one was very backed up. We waited well over an hour for our food both times we ordered, but it was clear they were just backed up and is not a reflection of the staff working. We hope to visit again next year! #ZFun #buzzybooth

Yelp
Lots of fun. The lazy river with the floats needs to be faster but this place is clean, busy, and qell maintained. #ZFun #buzzybooth

Yelp
Zehnder's is pure Michigan magic. From the warm hospitality to the unbeatable family-style chicken dinners, every visit feels like a tradition worth repeating. Comfort food doesn't get better than this.

Yelp
You can buy passes just for the waterpark! So we did not stay at the hotel, we just stopped by for a few hours to visit the indoor waterpark. Zehnder's Splash Village is very fun and something you definitely want to experience if you have young children who like swimming and water activities. The waterpark is also indoors, so even when it's cold outdoors (like it was when we visited), you can still play in the water. The waterpark is loosely separated into two sections. When you first walk in, you'll see the adults and big-kids section. This area has a big lazy river, a water basketball area, a family tube slide, a drop slide, and a big hot tub. There are lots of tables in this area, and skylights to make the whole area bright with natural light. Speaking of drop slide: If you have a young child who is on the fence about going on the drop slide, just know that it is super fast and super confining. My elementary-school-aged child did it once and said he was never going on another drop slide ever again. It's very drop slidey! Walk a little farther into the waterpark, and you'll see the area for younger kids, with a gigantic water playground, a small lazy river, water merry-go-round, small hot tub and lots more. The young-kids area is also where the snack bar is located. They have your typical snack bar foods, like pizza (although you can get it as a whole pizza pie), hot dogs, pretzel bread sticks and more. They also sell these huge donuts made locally. They're so big that they're more like a round cake that looks like a donut. Every time someone ordered one, the people who didn't order one looked at them longingly. There are lots of clean towels available, and the waterpark is clean -- I saw people walking around bussing the tables and wiping things down while I was there. There are lockers inside the waterpark for your valuables, and the changing rooms are big and have showers.

Yelp
We went there just after new year. Water park was a good size for a young children and it was fairly clean inside. My 8 year old definitely enjoyed the most. My 18 year old also enjoyed but it wasn't for bigger children. It was crowded but less people than I anticipated.we also stayed at their hotel. Room was a bit outdated but was clean and spacious for a family of 4. We also ate at restaurant in the hotel. It tasted fine but was very pricey. And their menus should be more precise. I ordered roast beef sandwich and a server asked if I want a chips or fries so I chose fries. When I looked at receipt , the fries were billed separately. Most of restaurants it comes with main dish so it was a surprise. We also played at the arcade. It was a smaller than I expected but my kids enjoyed. I don't know if they make it easy to get prizes but my kid got a few toys and bonus tickets by playing a crane game and at the end it got us a lot of tickets that made us get more toys at the prize counter. Over all we had a small family fun trip. It was only 1 hour from where I live so it was very convenient and easy for a single mom.

Yelp
We got a surprise upgrade to a room with a view and a reserved seating area with lounge chairs a table and TV. It was the perfect way to start my kids summer vacation from school. The room was clean the water was perfect temperature and the staff were all kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend if your looking for a family friendly pool with tons of slides and fun zone options. #ZFun #buzzybooth

Yelp
This was our 2nd time at the water park, 1st stay at the hotel. The rooms are nothing to write home about. 2 queen sized beds, microwave, fridge, TV, and coffee maker. That's about the extent of it. You can use the splash village from noon the day of check in until 4 the day of check out. Honestly, after 2 or 3 hours you're done. We visited the exercise room. Completely pathetic. Three machines in a very confined room. It felt like they wanted to be able to claim they have an exercise room, had this tiny space and decided to throw a few machines in. The arcade was sooooo overpriced. Around $2.50 per game and over $7 for the vr roller coaster ride. Clearly they have no shame charging what they do for Waterpark admission and then so much for arcade games. There are two areas to the splash park. The main area has a splash pad for littler ones, a water area for very tiny kids, 2 big water slides, a lazy river, and a pool with lily pads and basketball hoops. The other room has 2 more slides, a whirlpool, volleyball net, basketball hoops, and a few things for littler kids. You could easily do everything in an hour if you were motivated enough. The water temperature is warm enough to just walk in. It is absolutely doused in chlorine. My eyes were burning to the point of barely being able to keep them open after two 2 hour swims. Not to mention during the colder times of the year, outside air blows through making it EXTREMELY cold. One thing I think the park needs to address better is unaccompanied minors. My 13 year old has been taught how to behave in public. If someone asked him to stop, he would. When we visited there was a group of boys in the 12-14 year age range. They were going back and forth between the rooms getting yelled at again and again. Our paths crossed several times while chasing my daughter around. They literally said "they can kick us out, we're checking out of the hotel today." At one point they even had a manager chasing them around the swim area. They should have been banned for the rest of the year given their inappropriate behavior. It seemed like nobody knew how they should have been handled. There is a free shuttle that takes you to zehnders restaurant. Days and hours vary, but it is a nice way to not deal with all the traffic. The other nice perks are a movie night in the lobby and staying in thr Waterpark until after hours. We almost had run of the place from 8 30-10 when we visited. This still feels like a cash grab, but isn't as bad as great wolf lodge and their ridiculous "resort fees". My kids enjoyed themselves and we managed to avoid paying for all the little extras that could have been tacked on- locker, food, drinks, arcade, you name it. The the bavarian Inn splash parking opening soon, it should give this place some healthy competition.

Yelp
Horrible service and a really rude security guard! We go to water parks 2-3 times a year however never here again!! Terrible experience all around!

Alex S.

Yelp
Fun water-park, but feels way over-priced -- on weekdays $43 for a 5-hour shift, or $51 for all day; on weekends $58 for a 5-hour shift, or $68 for all day. For comparison, I bought a Six Flags Platinum Pass for $49 last August, and it includes unlimited free admission to Six Flags for the remainder of that year AND all the next year AND includes unlimited free admission to their water park, free parking, merchandise discounts, free skip-the-line passes and more. Somebody in our party got a black bracelet, which entitled her to merely enter but not actually ride on anything (basically just be there with her toddler). Not only do they not offer any discounts for the kids, but they charged $25 for the black bracelet, which seems like some major chutzpah. The "Drop" ride was out of commission. I wanted to try it, but was told by others that it's not as fun as the family raft ride down the big tube anyhow. Signs by the drop tube warn of abrasions, and from what I heard from folks the abrasions are common on that ride, so beware. A couple rides down the family raft tube were enough for me (though pretty thrilling, especially with 4 adults), a couple times down the water slides dumping into the lazy river, couple of times around the lazy river, few times around the other current river, checked out the pools briefly, spent a little time in the hot tubs, and then I was effectively done, long before the 5-hour shift was up. Towels are free to use, but locker rental costs $15 for a size large. We ordered food from the Mushroom Grille. The food didn't seem too over-priced, but took quite a long time to finally arrive at our table. It tasted good, but left us puzzled how it took so long to prepare what was basically bar food. Bottom line -- way over-priced and limited, especially compared to something like Six Flags season passes, which offer so much more, INCLUDING water park, Fright Night & Christmas holiday specials, etc.

Yelp
The check in was awful. We got the text at 3:58 that our room was ready . The short ,snotty young lady that checked us in. Said "We don't Legally Have to have your room ready till 4. I showed her the text on my phone. She said "That didn't come from us. It's not 4 yet. Even the lady beside me said . It's 2 minutes to. So after we had to "wait for them to figure it out " We waited a few more minutes. The guy next to the girl checking us in. Went somewhere. Came back and told her what room to put us in. We get all the info. I didn't realize till 2 days later when we went home. The girl never handed me my license back. So we had to make another trip up there. Which is RIDICULOUS !!! We checked in the 26 and out the 28th. You can't tell me someone couldn't have got it back to me . The room was in my name. No excuses for any of the stupid actions. We have brought our Grandson there 3 of the last 4 years. Pretty sure next year will be at the other place that's being upgraded. Poor customer service

Yelp
So fun and the chicken dinner was AMAZING! The pools chlorine is a little irritating though so make sure you bring lotion and what not #ZFun #buzzybooth

Yelp
The Zehnder family has a real lock on tourism in this town between this place and several other properties. This water park must make a fortune because it was jam-packed and people are in the water from the second it opens to the minute it closes each day. Our trip here was a mixed bag. We got a package that gave you a room with a view of the water park, passes the whole trip and almost all meals at various locations (1 dinner, 1 lunch and two breakfasts). It also reserved a table area with tv and loungers in the park that was right outside the window of the room. What was weird is you had no sliding door to that area. I guess it had to do with not wanting people in there after hours, but it was awkward to have to go around all the time. There also was no policing of it and we had to kick people out of our area each day, despite signage saying it was for our room. Food was bad. Breakfast was just gross and the pizza at the poolside cafe was greasy and very similar to domino's. The rooms were musty - but aren't they all at a water park? At least they were relatively sound proof because people had their kids up and screaming in the hall after 11 when the 9:00 movie probably ended. If you end up in a room at the back, it is a haul to go back and forth to the lobby. That was a pain. The kids loved it, but I don't think we would come back.

Anna K.

Yelp
Great food and service. #ZFun #buzzybooth. Every time we eat at Zehnder's we have the best service! Would recommend highly.

Jonah K.

Yelp
It's really fun. The Waterpark was fun and enjoyable. I liked the food and the fun center was good. The gift shop had some good suvineers. Definitely coming back. #ZFun #buzzybooth.

Yelp
We have been in Michigan for about a month and have been to Zehndaers three times already!! The food is outstanding neg. The staff is so kind and helpful. The atmosphere is perfect for families or adult groups. There is something for everyone. Can't wait to go back again. #ZFun #buzzybooth

Yelp
Grandkids loved it age 8-12 and so did grandparents (esp lazy river). Can get hotel rooms overlooking the pools. French dip was great.

Rhoda J.

Yelp
They fulfilled all of our requests. Wonderful visit. Will stay again if we get another good discount.

Kylee B.

Yelp
Only one line open for both food and drink for both sides! Otherwise- the kids enjoyed themselves!
google avatar

Melody P.

Yelp
Going here was pretty fun. There are multiple water slides, and other family areas. The pizza tasted okay if anything. Just be careful with the dropslide, the water will get in your nose, in your throat and stuff like that.

Shatrice M.

Yelp
always a great time, my children and fam absolutely love the place. but honestly the cost of the night stay they should offer more. everything cost and the rooms are outdated and don't offer much
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
We love this place! It's always a blast coming here! The water park is incredible and the food is second to none, but what really provides the magic here are the friendly staff. The smiling faces and incredible service is what keeps our family coming back year after year. If you're looking for a fun family friendly getaway, look no further than Frankenmuth to Zehnder's Splash Village!

Joseph

Yelp
My family and I go to Frankenmuth Zehnder's Splash Village every Christmas, and it's the best! There's truly no place better--from the cozy rooms to the beautiful lobby and, of course, the incredible water park. Everything about it is amazing! The slides, the lazy river, and the arcade make every visit unforgettable. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, and the holiday decorations make it feel even more magical. It's easily a 5 out of 5 experience every time. I absolutely love it and can't wait to go back!

EJ W.

Yelp
The life guards randomly made everyone get out of the pools and this one life guard grabbed my 6 year old brother by one arm and ripped him out of the water
google avatar

Karl M.

Yelp
Hadn't been here for a few years and the place is about the same. Kids have fun but for the amount of money to stay here everything should be just right. In our shower, the wall-mounted dispenser was empty, out of body wash and shampoo. The sink wouldn't drain and just left a big gross pool after washing hands or brushing teeth. We ate at the Elf Hollow restaurant and noticed too late that my card had been charged a big tip on top of the tip that I indicated. So some kind of funny business there.
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
The price for this place is $55 for half a day or $65 for the whole day. They do a good job with towels and lockers. The pools appeared clean. The whole facility seemed pretty clean. The only thing is when they're really crowded you could wait in line for a half an hour longer. Overall for a water park it was good they could use an additional slide.
google avatar

Ed M.

Yelp
Love this place. We go twice a year. Staff is super nice, and very accommodating. My 7yr old dropped her red slushee 30 seconds after receiving it. A young man in a blue shirt came over immediately, began cleaning it up and saying nice things to her to ease her embarrassment. We were really impressed. My ONLY complaint is that there is no non-dairy creamer!!!

Yelp
A great experience. Staff is great. Facilities are clean. Food is very good... highly recommend for entire family. Excellent location

Yelp
Must visit here!! Amazing chicken dinner, fun shops, great atmosphere! #ZFun #buzzybooth

Yelp
I would give five stars but one of the workers there had a mean attitude I was riding on the floats and I ask one of the workers to push me to the path when you fall down the water slide and the worker had a attitude.

Yelp
We love our family Thanksgiving tradition! Zenders Splash Village and Zehnders Restaurant is exactly where AJ and I want to be. We are thankful for eachother, our family, our health, Zehnders, and the buzzybooth! #ZFun #buzzybooth

Yelp
We just loved it! Clean. Great service. Employees were friendly. We even had room service because it was priced equally to us going to a restaurant. Kids loved that! The room was clean and spacious! Beds were comfortable. We will be here everytime we are in town.

John B.

Yelp
We had a great day at Zanders. Food is great. Customer service was excellent. The holiday atmosphere is just fabulous. #ZFun #buzzybooth

Yelp
Water parks a 5/5 but the exercise room is mid, dumbells only go to 25 1 adjustable bench, 1 treadmill, 1 other cardio machine, Really disappointing, Wish it went up to 50-60

Kimberly F.

Yelp
I will never go back again. I went for my 5 year old granddaughter's birthday party. I was only dropping off a gift and watching for a bit. I had to pay $25 dollars to get in. They had a room, bought food and my 85 year old mom and I had to each pay $25. That is ridiculous. I asked to talk to a manager and she told me I would pay full price to go to Cedar Point even if I don't ride the rides. Not even the same!! I'm dressed ( way too warmly for the 120 degrees) so it's not like I'm jumping in the water. I will make sure to tell EVERYONE I know that for the prices they charge, you can go somewhere better.

Yelp
Great spot for water play and visiting the town of Frankenmuth! Highly recommend getting one of the 2 cabanas.

Yelp
My first time here with my girlfriend on 2/11/25. She's been here a bunch in the past. First the cleanliness, A+ i couldn't find anything dirty, the floors were clean, the room was clean, everywhere you looked a maid or employee was present and doing something productive. Second the water park. A+ the water was fresh, employees or life guards everywhere and enforcing the rules and the rides were fun. Third the cost. B- i think $400 is a bit high for one night and two dinner and breakfast passes. We couldn't check in until 4pm and had to be out by 11am. That's just not enough time but i understand, and we went on a Tuesday not even a weekend but i guess if you had a great time then it's worth it. Now for the food. Breakfast buffet was great, service was great. The all you can eat dinner was so so. Our server Alexander was amazing, so friendly and attentive, my gf gave him a $20 as a tip. We would definitely ask for his section again. As for the food. D+ everything was wayyyyy too salty, like i couldn't eat the veggies because of the salt. I firmly believe if they cut down on the salt it would be amazing. The chicken was obviously fresh and good but still too salty. The coleslaw and potatoes with gravy was amazing. All together definitely 4 stars and we'll be back. Please limit the salt

Terrell P.

Yelp
For the price of $68 there were very few water attractions. The lady river was very small and poorly managed. They have two lazy rivers. One fast and one normal. The normal one that has floaties allowed children to swim in it like a swimming pool without requiring them to use the floats and the kids were all over the place. You couldn't relax in the river because if the kids swimming under the water in the way. And the faster small river had you walking through the water instead of using a float. The waterslides were only 4 for adults and there was no adult appropriate swimming pool the water was too warm for the outside very small pool and it was 3ft -4 ft deep. This water park is great for small children but for preteens, teens to adults it gets boring very quickly. The price of $70 per person was excessive since it didn't offer much. I felt ripped off and taken advantage of this park didn't even come close to the Metro parks with water parks and they are a lot less expensive. The only good thing about this park was the food it has excellent pizza. Otherwise it is a big ZERO! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT. We wanted to stay in Bavarian but there were no Available rooms so we got a hotel in Birch Run. I'll never waste money in zehnders again! Lesson learned! Too expensive for very little attractions!

Yelp
We utilized a day pass for the splash park, and it was totally worth it! With three separate areas for itty-bittys, mid-size, and full grown kids, there is litter-ally something for everyone. Six (I think) water slides; one for really little kids, one for a little bigger kids; two that are adult and kid friendly, a family size slide where the tube holds four people, and a single slide that "drops" you from an enclosed tube. Two lazy rivers; a slow & shallow one as well as a deeper & faster one. There is an outdoor pool too. There is a pretty decent menu and drink selection, just don't get anything fried. The onion rings and wings were oily and soggy, but the pizza was a hit with the kids.

Yelp
A great waterpark but a bit strange with no rafts or slides due to the pandemic. The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff iz helpful. I love the texting system that tells you when your room is ready so you can enjoy the waterpark. The waterpark locker system is great also with your own password so you font have to carry around a key. The cafe food is delicious, loved the family style buffet. The shuttle bus is convenient for shopping and purchases. I love that Bronner's is nearby because it is amazing. The lights at Bronner's are so pretty to walk or drive thru.

Yelp
If you are comparing Zehnder's to great wolf lodge, this place is better. The room was cleaner, the breakfast was better, and you can't beat the chicken walking around the whole time. The buffet breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. The pizza looked good that people were ordering at the pool and the pizza served at the breakfast buffet was good. Arcade was expensive and small. I would have eaten in the pool area versus going to Zehnders for the chicken dinner. Got kind of crowded on Saturday. Check in was easy.

Yelp
Another great visit! The dinner was great, the wine was superb and our waitress was a peach! We came to visit for my dad and aunts birthday and we left very happy as always! Good job Zehnder's, keep up the great work!

Yelp
The hotel room was excellent. I cannot stress how clean and neat everything was inside (the air conditioner was really cold too.) I am a Marriott Platinum Premier guy and our room was close to a JW Marriott room or Residence Inn. We purchased a hotel room with a private table in the park along with the eat and sleep package. It was pricey but everything included exceeded our expectations. The water park itself was a blast. We had kids age ranging from 5 years to 9months old with us. Everyone had activities that could be done. Net net the entire crew had a very positive experience. I was impressed with all the life guards (they were all very proactive.) Now to the Elf Hollow Cafe. The pizza came out fast and is one step below Costco quality and the Antipasto salad was very good (tons of green/black olives, veg and meat.) The Breakfast Buffett was good for a kids water park. The bacon and sausage seem to be locally sourced. The family really enjoyed the fresh fruit which looked/tasted like it was cut in the same morning.
