Zen Inn

The hotel is in a perfect location — close to everything. We walked to Hidden Beach in about 12 minutes, and it was totally worth it. The food here was honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Even though we only stayed one night, it was a really good experience. Oh, and breakfast was included — a nice bonus to start the day right! 🍳✨

We dropped into the Zen for lunch while we waited for our taxi. The restaurant is really clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is great value and I found it to be good quality. It's a busy street so if you are staying there it would be noisy. It's right next to the large ferry port. For convenience, friendly staff and close to everything else in town it's good value.

The worst experience ever. They accept late check in only if you take a taxi that they offer. So we tried to make a reservation through their taxi, but their communication was very slow and not smooth. We had only one day left before our departure date, and could not receive response from them. so we found our own taxi. As a result, they didn't let us check in, and we had to find other hotel, and couldn't get a refund. Very irresponsible. Seriously the worst experience ever !

Fantastic place to relax and recharge. Spotless rooms with comfortable bed, hot shower, tea and coffee. Great food in the restaurant. Super awesome staff.

Overpriced. Bad quality. Worst breakfast we had in Bali. Two slice bread with fried eggs (eggs weren’t even well done) and two slices of bread with scrambled eggs. We were the only customers and we were waiting more than 30 min. The only good thing was the service.

The room was OK for what you pay. Nice size with a comfortable bed. The location is excellent for catching one of the ferries to lombok or gili's.

We booked a room at Zen Inn for its location near the pier and based on the nice reviews. I’m not sure why they picked the name « Zen », nor whether the reviews are authentic… The rooms were extremely noisy. I barely slept 3 hours because I could hear everything going on in the nearby streets (motorbikes, dogs, harbor sirens, boat sirens, conversations in the buildings…). The doors and windows aren’t isolating. Lots of light was coming from the corridor from around the door, and the windows didn’t close properly (when I told the manager she asked why… why indeed?). One of the window also didn’t have a curtain. We had to use a towel. The room itself is very old and definitely needs works. The walls are damaged and there seems to be a humidity infiltration problem.

Basic room with AC, a small courtyard with a garden, tv, and a bed that has a mosquito net. Staff are very friendly and most helpful. The location is perfect to catch a ferry to the Gili Islands. Only a short walk to the port. Very affordable price with a small breakfast included. We had dinner in the cafe, which was very good, and stopped by for lunch on the way back from Gili T. We really enjoyed our stay at the Zen Inn and can, without a doubt, recommend staying here.
