Last weekend my family and I got very lucky to be accommodated very last minute for a private ride . This was a surprise for my daughter’s 10th birthday. From the moment we arrived the place had such a calming feel to it with friendly doggies my girls absolutely loved playing with . The staff were so friendly and welcoming and it was all very well organised . We had the most incredible experience together, got to see some wallabies and take in some beautiful scenery. The horses were just so beautiful. This is an absolute treasure experience to do while you’re staying in Byron Bay. We will absolutely be back to do this in the summer time :) thank you again so much for such an unforgettable experience .

Unforgettable Horse Riding Experience with Fliss – Byron Bay Riding with Fliss was truly one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences I’ve had in Byron. From the moment we arrived, the area felt magical — peaceful, welcoming, and safe. The team was incredibly friendly, and the connection they have with the horses is inspiring. Fliss was amazing — so kind, understanding of our needs, and full of genuine passion for horses. You can truly feel how much she cares. The horses were so well looked after, calm, and happy, which made the experience even more special. We did the forest and lunch ride, and it was absolutely one of a kind. There was even a designated area for the horses to enjoy their lunch while we had ours — side by side with these beautiful animals. It was a magical moment that made the entire experience feel even more personal and serene. On the way back, I had that bittersweet feeling of something special coming to an end — but this is definitely an experience I will remember forever. I’ll be booking it again next time I’m in Byron. Thank you to Fliss and the whole team for this incredible opportunity!

Great communication from time of booking right through to our goodbyes. Horses were matched well to riders, well taken care of horses on a beautiful property. The tack was clean and well maintained and we really appreciated the drizabones. It was easy to find and the staff were genuine and really lovely. Special mention to my handsome ride Zeb. Big Love Guys, super professional and absolutely loved it. We would love to come again.

This was truly an unforgettable experience and a major bucket list item checked off! Horse riding on the beach was even better than we imagined. The tour was breathtakingly scenic, from the moment we met the incredibly beautiful horses (I fell completely in love with Bobbie!) to the stunning ride. The weather was perfect, and seeing the whales while we rode the shoreline felt like a once-in-a-lifetime bonus. Zephyr absolutely showed up for us, we will definitely be back!

We recently did a forest ride with Zephyr Horses and overall had a good time, though there’s definitely room for improvement. Upon arrival at the farm, we were welcomed and given time to explore the tack room, which was fairly well stocked with helmets and riding boots in various sizes. A helpful tip, bring extra socks! Some of the boots were wet, and a few of us ended up with soggy socks before we even got started. After completing the necessary paperwork and meeting the rest of our group, we were introduced to our horses. The three girls leading the ride were mostly reassuring, especially helpful for some of us who were first-time riders. That said, one instructor in particular did become visibly impatient when instructions weren’t followed perfectly. It showed in her tone, body language, and facial expressions, which made a few moments feel tense. The ride itself was enjoyable. Chatting with the other riders added a nice social touch, and the instructors made sure to take photos throughout the experience. More experienced riders were given the chance to canter, and we appreciated how safety remained a clear priority throughout. After the ride, we chose to purchase the photo package for an additional $50. Be aware, these are casual photos taken on the instructors' iPhones, not professional shot and while they could easily be airdropped or shared the same day, they aren’t. Instead, you're told there's a delay due to the “photos team” needing to sort through them, which felt unnecessary. Overall, if you're in Byron and looking for a unique activity, Zephyr Horses is worth considering. Just manage your expectations, bring dry socks, and be prepared for a wait if you want to buy the photos.

Amazing afternoon and the guides truly made it a great experience, the trail through the bush was amazing and then the entry onto the beach was so lovely at sunset. The horses were all in lovely condition and you can see they are all well cared for. Thanks Fireball your an amazing horse and thanks for the great experience. The photos the staff send you are all great quality, so much safer not using your phone while riding. Keep up the great work.

It was only my 2nd time on a horse and I can’t thank the amazing staff enough for their care and guidance. My horse Zulu was a lovely big gentle giant and was easy to ride. We started riding through the tranquil bush and then out onto the open beach. The beach section was the highlight. It was so beautiful and relaxing. I can highly recommend Zephyr Horses if you are in the Byron Bay Area.

Absolutely amazing experience with Zephyr Horses! I rode Bunyip and loved every minute. The guides were fantastic — clear with instructions, patient, encouraging, and so supportive. The forest-to-beach ride was pure joy — beautiful scenery, relaxed pace, and so much fun! Highly recommend.
