We had dinner here on the 1st of September to celebrate my wife’s birthday and honestly, we don’t get why this restaurant has such a low rating. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The host was really friendly and set a great tone for the night.
The ambience and scenery were perfect, which made the whole evening feel special. Our waitress was helpful and gave us some good recommendations when ordering. The food was excellent. The starters of local bugs/crayfish and scallops were so fresh and tasty, every bite was full of flavour. For mains, we had the local snapper and the beef fillet, both cooked perfectly with flavours that worked really well together.
The best part of the evening was dessert. The orange and dark chocolate oozy cake was, according to my wife, the best dessert she has ever had, which made her birthday really special. My strawberry dessert was just as good, with a mix of sweet, tart, and a little richness that hit all the right notes for me.
All in, the food was great, the service was just as good, and the atmosphere was spot on. Don’t worry too much about the negative reviews, give it a go for yourself. We had a great night and really enjoyed it.
