Google
this is one of the must visit place when in Friedrichshafen. there are so many exhibits for aviation and it was a spacious and huge museum to move around. Hardly any quene for each exhibit. however i find very limited merchandise at the souvenior shop and hope that they could duplicate the displayed medal into magnets in the future.

Wow! It was a very educational museum! I had always wondered how airships were made and how they worked, and this museum taught me everything! They even had a model of one of the airships, it really felt like I was in one! It wasn’t too crowded, and there were a lot of very cool models and pictures to observe. They had some artifacts from the crash as well. I will definitely be coming back.

Very nice museum. Plenty of things to see!! It gets a little busy in the weekends but it is not a problem, you can still enjoy it!!

Google
The museum is certainly interesting. Although I expected more. There is a feeling that some exhibitions were created just to fill empty space. The exhibition is very strangely organized. It is difficult to immerse yourself in the topic because everything is simply scattered thematically.

Google
Awesome and completely unexpected visit. I was in the area for work and came across this museum in the late afternoon. Tickets were disconted as there want much time left open but we got around and learned a lot about these awesome airships! Really informative museum and well worth a visit. I expect this is a huge draw after going.

Google
Nice museum for adults. Interesting history and nice view into the zappelin and the accommodations for passengers. For children ( 12 and 11) who do not speak German and are not very fluent in English, there was not a lot to do. So this was a quick visit.

Google
Interesting, did not know they made cars. The quality was extraordinary. This is a model known as the Zeppelin Gaylord. Check out the interior.

This museum is beyond my expectations! There are so many interactive devices and interesting information about the Zeppelin. You can even walk into the cabin and see many old things from that time. I would definitely recommend this museum, especially for those families with children.

Yelp
Going back home to Germany this summer to my mom's home town we had a short amount of time to do as much as possible. One of my sons had recently read the I survived series with the Hindenburg disaster and I knew just where we could go to fully immerse ourselves into the zeppelin history. Lucky for us the Bodensee is home to the zeppelin and they have a whole museum dedicated to the history of it. If you're ever in the area and are into history the zeppelin museum is a must! Not only do you learn more about the Hindenburg disaster but there's so much rich history to learn here. Some dark history as well being the zeppelins role it played during the nazi Germany regime during WWII. But the ingenuity behind the zeppelin and its role it played to help airplanes get to where they are today is truly mind blowing. This rich in history, totally immersive experience will have you truly amazed. Even for the none-history junkies this was such a cool experience with plenty of artifacts, videos, and even a life sized replica of a zeppelin you can tour for the whole family

Yelp
Overall, the museum is pretty impressive as far as what exhibits it has on display, to include the largest remnant from the Hindenburg. There are also pieces from the Graf Zeppelin, and a room full of Zeppelin memorabilia and collectibles. It was nice to see the audio commentary available in several languages, just wish that that the same could be said about some of the text as well. I just wish there was a focus on the DELAG airline, as I feel like that's a lesser known part of aviation history. Either way, if you're an aviation fan, this place is well worth your time.

Yelp
Fantastic museum of all things Zeppelin and airship. The two floors of displays are interactive and extremely informative. You get to walk through the passenger decks of a Hindenburg-type airship, see models of airships through history, and engage in a physics room to learn about flight/ship dynamics in a hands-on manner! On the third floor, they offer a rotating exhibit of various types. Today, it was an oil painting (and some other works) exhibit from the WWI-WWII era (non-war in topic though), with some religious works from 19th century and earlier. Well worth the 9 or so Euro I paid for adult admission. I am not a Zeppelin or airship fan and still had a blast! Only thing I wish is that the museum had a few more exhibits. The works were stellar - I just left, still having some questions about the cars, Hindenburg disaster, and modern airship trends. Most answered, but that's where the remaining star went. Great visit!

Yelp
Everything you'd ever want to know about Zeppelins - their complete history. We visited the Zeppelin Museum as part of a meeting held in town. We were provided a guided tour of the Museum, which I highly recommend because I don't think I would have gotten much out of just walking around by myself. The tour includes a life-sized reconstruction of a portion of the Hindenburg, which allows you to get a feel for what traveling in luxury was many moons ago. It also displays many of artifacts of the Hindenburg and other zeppelins. Finally, there is a small room which highlights the various scientific principles employed to make zeppelins fly. These principles can be"discovered" with a few hands-on demonstrations - probably great fun for kids!

Yelp
Very nice museum. Loved the educational aspect and was pleasantly surprised a good portion of exhibits and information was in English. Kids activities were plentiful and the kids enjoyed filling their "suitcase" during their airship travels. Plus, they actually learned some things, and enjoyed doing it! Tip: if you have more than one child, be sure to buy each their own cardboard suitcase. At only 3€, it's worth the peace!

Yelp
This is not something I am super interested in, but it is a good museum nonetheless. The history is very interesting and that replica of Hindenburg was really something. It was huge! Really fascinating.

Yelp
We had a great time looking for the little cats that staid away! The older ones enjoyed reading all the history.

Yelp
It's the think to do in Friedrichshafen - We had no idea that the Bodensee played such an important role in aviation history. This museum gives a great overview of the history of the Zeppelin. It includes a rebuilt cabin area of the Hindenburg. There is an audio tour available that includes stations to visit and listen to in order to get an overview of what you are seeing. We spent the better part of two and half hours at the museum. There were a lot of interactive displays that even kept my 10 year old son engaged. Arrive early since it gets quite crowded. Great alternative to cycling on a rainy day.
