"Paragliding in Zermatt After 20 minutes on a series of gondolas, we arrived at the top of Rothorn peak and walked over to our take off point. My friend, Hera, turned to her guide and said, "Uhhh, I didn't realize I would have to run off of a cliff!" "It's more like walking off of a hill," he replied soothingly. He wasn't just being cheeky. After the initial shock of getting airborne (it was a hill leading down to a cliff, to be fair), the rest of the flight was incredibly peaceful. Our guides gave us a few roller-coaster-like spins (after asking permission of course) to compliment the tranquility of floating through the air, while the slow descent allowed us plenty of time to enjoy our view of the Swiss Alps. As novice snow-boarders, we needed extra activities like this to allow some rest for our snow-beaten bums, but even if you are an expert skier/snowboarder, make sure to take out some time away from the slopes to enjoy the breath-taking view from above. The weather wasn’t ideal today so I couldn’t do the Condor flight (3,883m). A bit disappointed, but that’s just nature! Instead, I tried the Eagle and it was amazing. The whole experience was smooth and the views were breathtaking! You can see the whole town, surrounding peaks, and even some black-nosed sheep from above. My instructor “Michael” was very patient and super friendly, which made me feel safe and relaxed the entire time. Highly recommend this activity, and if the weather allows, you should definitely try it!

A last minute decision to fly around the Matterhorn area today was a great one. Thanks to my pilot Mario and Zermatt Paragliding for making it happen so quickly and being so friendly. Best end to my holiday - would highly recommend!

Fantastic flying experiences! Weather was perfect and the take off/landing was smooth. There is nothing to compare to paraglide from 3100 metres near the infamous Matterhorn. My pilot was great and skilled. The videos and pictures were beautiful and is a must buy. Thank you again for the one of the kind flying experience.

What spectacular flights my teen daughter and I had with Zermatt Paragliding! Pilots Michael and Jerry were friendly, easygoing and instilled confidence. Scenery can’t be beat, of course, and the thermals were fun—you could really feel them. The pictures and video were worth purchasing and they downloaded straight to our phones afterwards. Definitely recommend!!
