Zero Zero specializes in Italian sourdough focaccia sandwiches with meat and vegetarian options. We went on the weekend, so it was pretty busy and we waited about 10 minutes in line and 10-15 minutes to receive our order, but honestly, it just shows how popular the place is.
We ordered the Focaccia Piccante and the Focaccia Pomodoro. They’re a bit pricey, but damn, the portions are very big. You can easily share one with someone (I would recommend).
The Piccante was my favorite. It had salami, nduja, stracciatella, rucola, tomato, and parmigiano reggiano, so flavorful and just the right amount of spicy. I would 100% order it again.
The Pomodoro (with San Marzano tomato, parmigiano, red pesto, sundried tomatoes, oregano, and olive oil) was also really tasty, but a little too salty for me personally.
Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful, the sandwiches are massive, and the quality is great. Definitely worth trying if you’re craving a proper Italian sandwich in Amsterdam!
