Zerohotel, Valparaiso, Chile - Explore & Book

"Overlooking Valparaíso bay, this converted 3-storey house, built in 1880, has been carefully restored to create a spacious and elegant boutique. Original features are retained, and modern twists add a touch of 21st-century style. The rooms are homely and inviting, the common areas cool and laid-back. Perched atop Cerro Alegre - 'Cheerful Hill' - the hotel is in the heart of Valparaíso's hilly old town, and shares its charm. This UNESCO World Heritage site comes complete with cobbled streets, colourful façades and arty murals, and provides easy access via one of the dozens of century-old ascensores - funicular railways - down to the hustle and bustle of the port and town centre below. This is the perfect base from which to discover this vibrant port city, which buzzes with an energy sometimes lacking in the neighbouring capital, Santiago. After a tough morning exploring, crash on your bed for a siesta while a warm breeze wafts through the French doors. Later, help yourself to a glass of wine, settle back into a wicker chair on the bougainvillea-festooned terrace and watch the long shadows of the sunset move across the bay below. Highs Location location location. The solid foundations of the 19th-century houses in this district enabled them to withstand a massive earthquake in 1906, unlike most buildings in the city. The area is historically significant as a result - not to mention very trendyGuests are trusted to settle their dues later at the well-stocked honesty barClassic architecture and superior craftsmanship give the building a strong character, enhanced by beautiful original features - coving, French window frames, wooden floorboards and stained glass windows The lush Winter Garden breakfast room on the first floor with its panoramic views is picturesque and inspiring Lows The hotel has no restaurant, but there are plenty of top-notch local eateries to discover While the best rooms enjoy fabulous harbour views, some rooms at the top have a less privileged view of a corrugated iron warehouseParking is a nightmare in Valparaíso, but the hotel has 7 parking spots set aside which can be booked in advance" - Emma Whiteacre

Stunning view of the town below and the Pacific Ocean. We were in room 7 which was plenty big enough for 3 single beds. The two regular beds were good while the cot swallow you up, ok for a child but not an adult The bathroom is beautifully updated. Friendly checkin. Needs some paint on the shutters. There are some nice eateries and shops close by.

We found this hotel by chance. Wanted something with a great view and good location during The Redbull Valparaíso cerro abajo event. This place had all our wants and needs. We had two rooms on the second floor, one with a view of the bay. Both were spacious and nicely furnished, we specially loved the bathroom in both rooms. Everyone at the front desk was lovely, helpful and accommodating, specially Matias! The breakfast area has an amazing view. Breakfast selections had enough variety and the scrambled eggs made to order were perfection. They have an amazing parking garage right across the hotel. Patty was so kind and patience and stayed late on our last day waiting for us to get our car. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Valparaiso.

We were treated like family.|Lovely reception staff that greeted us our room had the most amazing view was spotless and so comfortable beautiful garden kept so well with three lovely terraces to sit in which we made full use of and enjoyed after a lovely day sightseeing.|Breakfast first day lovely second day still lovely good quality food but let down over a very sill waitress who did not see me come back from the loo and I found taking the piss out of me because we had asked for a different coffee as I passed the kitchen back to my table the Gentleman serving breakfast as well and I do mean a Gentleman tried his hardest to diffuse the situation but I had seen and heard it completely upset me all day.|Don’t let this put you off this fabulous place with fabulous staff and this silly incident I am sure was dealt with but has left a nasty taste.

Nice looking little hotel located in heart of Valparaiso.Very historic building. Very stylish. However charging 20 USD for parking, which I consider shocking and which wasn't advertised in time of the booking, only after booking was completed is misleading. Lady working in the office argued with me back in a way we wouldn't expect. When I asked regarding blocked shower issues, no signs of apology, she replied, "Okay, you have to use it" I'd say 0 customer service experience, as you wouldn't expect from such a place.Only replies back in a arrogant way. Summary: Pros: •Lovely garden with nice view •Rooms looked ok •Historic place Cons: •Arrogant receptionist •Parking cost charged at the end of the booking (be aware) •Blocked shower drain Personally disappointed.

Zero hotel is located overlooking the harbor; the views are superb. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped - comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and a lovely garden on the side of the hill to enhance the view. The staff are very friendly and helpful, including the breakfast staff. There an honor bar downstairs with wine and spirits, breakfast is served down there, among the bougainvilleas. A perfect place to stay.

The Zero Hotel is an absolute GEM!! We had a wonderful stay here, and highly recommend anyone coming to Valparaiso to book this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, and we felt very safe walking around this area. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. We booked a suite, and the view from our room was stellar! And also, the staff here are absolutely incredible. Everyone here was friendly, informative, and made us feel like we were at home. Also, the breakfast that is included is quite delicious, and we want the recipe for the raspberry cake they had because it was phenomenal :) If we ever come back to Valparaiso, we will 100% be booking another suite at Zero Hotel again!

Yelp
I stayed at Hotel Zero with my family for two days. The hotel is gorgeous. Beautiful rooms with tall ceilings, very nice furnishings, and stunning views of the bay (rear rooms only). The rear deck and gardens are also incredible. The staff is very nice, and the older lady working there gave us very good recommendations on places to eat, things to do, etc.
