While planning our trip to Gökçeada, we made a thorough search for a nice place to stay and though it was the most expensive hotel, we chose Zeydali as it looked very professional and nice. And that happened to be an excellent choice: we really enjoyed our 2 nights long stay here. ||||Hotel is located at the old Greek village called "Zeytinliköy". Having visited all the villages of the island, I can say that this one is the best in terms of location and attractions around. Zeydali Hotel is at the main square of the village (don't get me wrong, when I say square, it's a very small courtyard kind of a place), made of stones just like all the other old buindings around. ||||Just like in all old villages of the island, cars are not allowed inside the village, except those of the inhabiants. So, when you arrive to the village, it's best to call the hotel, they send someone with the remote control and he opens the gate for you. But it's also possible to park the car at the village car park (parking is free) and walk to the hotel which is only 2 minutes away. Hotel can later take your car key and bring your luggages, eitherway is possible. ||||Hotel is very professionally managed (unlike many other places at the island). Service to the customers is carried out only by 2 personnel (from reception to breakfast) but it does not cause any problem. They are very helpful and customer-oriented. ||||The rooms are very clean, smell lovely and nicely decorated in line with the overall ambiance of the old village. Despite the fact that this is a small boutique hotel, you can find everything that a city hotel offers inside the room: minibar, television, slippers, shampoo, hairdryer etc.||||We had only breakfast at the hotel as meal but it was very rich, delicious, made of local, organic produce. ||||We really enjoyed our stay and were not expecting such a professionalism in such a small village. I wholeheartedly recommend this place in case you plan to stay at Gökçeada.
