"Eat at Ziggy's and Get Gas I have to admit, I didn't want to like this place. I used to come to this location (previously known as Smokey's) for years to eat great local food and enjoy a laid back vibe... While getting gas, of course. But then the previous West Indian owner moved away to Antigua only to be replaced by a statesider. I thought my days of liming at the solitude gas station with so many other locals and eating great West Indian fare were over. I couldn't have been more wrong. I'd say the new owner has gone out of his way to make Ziggy's an active and positive member of the local community, but everything he's done just has this natural feel to it. Like he's not even trying, he just IS a part of the community. Local foods like roti, johnny cake, and more still find their home at Ziggy's. Plus now they're accompanied by frequent charity events, eating contests, concerts, and even dance competitions... All at an awesome gas station. It may seem odd to suggest stopping by a gas station, but you'd be missing a great new addition to Crucian life without a visit to this libation station."

Google
A gas station eatery that is crazy good! Order where you pay for gas, grab a few seats, they bring out to you. Everything was delicious, especially the Italian and Cubano sandwiches! My son ordered both of these and I couldn't stop sneaking bites! Surprisingly they also serve Curry dishes, my daughter loved the Roti and I really enjoyed the Shrimp Curry. So glad we found this little gem.

Google
Best brunch but also best meal on the island thus far. The food was phenomenal, bartenders were fast, fun, and drinks were totally yum. How can this food come from a gas station?? Don’t miss this Sunday brunch. It’s insanely good. A bit of a wait but have a couple drinks and chill and enjoy the vibe. Surf and turf Benedict and breakfast stacker shown here. And their bloody had homemade pickled veggies

Google
Ziggy’s is a local staple every day of the week, for a fuel stop, food run, snack shop, or a bathroom break. However the events held here are a beloved local tradition, such as Sunday Brunch. You can’t miss out on the sweet OR savory options, with a rotating menu and never a morsel left to waste on your plate. Servings are generous, atmosphere is welcoming, employees are friendly, and ingredients are fresh and tasty. Don’t skip Ziggy’s Island Market whether you’re just passing through for vacation or a native Crucian.

Google
Awesome food and cheap beers, locals come here a lot and the bartender works in the city apparently. The more detailed menu starts at 6 apparently and it was awesome pork burritos and firecracker shrimp bowl. One of our best stops on the island so we stopped twice

Google
Made a stop here on the way to the east end...sneaky hidden gem. Yes, this is a gas station. Yes, it's also a bar. Yes, it's a fun stop. The food was good, had the cuban, but the environment was fun. People just talking, laughing, and playing games. Great place to stop at after the beach to grab some food and drinks. **Order inside the gas station, they'll bring the food to the bar for you.

Google
We had Sunday brunch at Ziggy's! Doesn't look like much as you pull up to the gas station; but, don't let that deter you! This guy is cooking up gourmet food in the parking lot, on a flat iron grill like I have at home! If you are on the island on Sunday morning, don't waste your money at some fancy restaurant. The tattooed CHEF at Ziggy's will leave you overjoyed with any of his fine offerings.

Google
Ziggy’s is a local expat spot with a rotating brunch menu. There’s tons of great seating on the patio and a limited bar-no frozen drinks and minimal mixers but good prices. Not having the mixers was surprising because it was literally available in the market behind the bar. We were excited to try the food however felt it was all hype, more rum may have helped. The food lacked salt, or any distinctive flavor. there was also so much plastic being used we felt wasteful! Perhaps we came on a bad morning? Not sure we would be willing to try again.

Google
wanted to love this place. everything was good, cool vibe, the food tasted good, etc but they should be embarrassed to charge $18 for a breakfast and only have one item on the plate, e.g only sweet potato with egg (good, but overly salty), and only the cinnamon roll french toast. Why not fill out of the plate with some fruit salad (it looked great, but only came with the traditional breakfast)? We enjoyed our time, but decided the foot was not worth the hype and price. Any breakfast item that is not a side, should come with a bit of variety fruit or green salad, side of hashbrown, etc.

Yelp
Ziggy's is not just a gas station. They are a kitchen, tavern, and convenience store all built into one. We were visiting the beaches on the east end of the island and discovered Ziggys. This is our second time to visit. The drinks are always good, and the patrons are also friendly. I recommend their cocktail the Pain Killer! If you are looking for food there is a pizza place next door.

Yelp
This stop over is a must before or after your Point Udall(east end) trip. I ended up going there for breakfast. After that spent all morning doing some hikes near Point Udall, spent some time at the beach and on my return, stopped by Ziggy's again to have lunch there. The place is that good. This is only a convenience store but their food is just amazing. Whether you want to try their Poke or Benedict, they are all made with fresh and tasty ingredients. They have great views if you sit in their backyard and there is plenty of parking space. Don't be shy to park on the road side. It gets busy pretty quick. Ziggy's is pretty popular but they don't let their popularity get to their head. They are still very humble and offer warm service.
google avatar

Yelp
Ziggy's really has it all. We had pork rice bowls upon arrival and the gas station turned bar vibe was fun and laid bad. Inside, there's a convenience store. We originally came for the cubanos, but those are only served certain days/times. We called ahead Thursday night for cubano pickup at 8am Friday to take out on our boat day. Great spot.

Yelp
The Sunday brunch is amazing - but even stopping by for breakfast items in the morning is highly recommended. The beef pate is maybe the freshest. Best I ever tried. And the banana fritter is delicious. And maybe be so bold as to say - best Johnny cake I have ever eaten! Sweet, amazing texture, yum!!!

Yelp
This was a fun market located in a gas station. We stopped because we got caught in a storm and didn't want to drive in ugly conditions. We ended up hanging out for 3 hours because they had great drinks, fun music, and lots of cool people. You can order from the main menu, or you can place an order from their dinner menu. It got really busy quick with people picking up their orders. It was definitely a fun experience hanging out with some locals, in the rain drinking the amazing painkillers. If you stop for anything, stop for the painkiller.

Yelp
Yes, Sunday Brunch at a Gas Station / Convenience Store / Bar the day after the Caribbean's Largest Oktoberfest Celebration in St. Croix.... Yeah, I said it... and we did it... When in St. Croix, do as what the locals do... and that's the annual tradition of going to Ziggy's for Oktoberfest, followed by Sunday brunch... also at Ziggy's. For Oktoberfest, they were various options of Brats to choose from, a live band playing music, a good selection of drinks and Octoberfest merch, including stickers, hats, steins and shirts. When it comes to the atmosphere, yes you are at a gas station... but it's island life, good vibes only! There's some seating outside and a nice wood deck in the back with some bistro lights. If you're wondering what on the Sunday Brunch menu, you can look up "Ziggy's Island Market, LLC" on Facebook to check it out, as it is always changing. For brunch I went for a savory dish and ordered the Korean BBQ Surf & Turf Benedict w/ Poached Eggs, BBQ Pork Patty, Sweet Chili Shrimp, Ginger Cabbage, Seaweed Salad & Sriracha Hollandaise, which was really good. My wife followed her sweet tooth and ordered the Mango Cheesecake Waffles w/ Toasted Coconut, Bacon Crumbles & Cruzan Rum Maple Syrup. Both dishes were really good, I would definitely recommend for you to check it out if you are on the island!

Yelp
As we were headed out to Udall Point we came across this gem! Wow what a great surprise. Definitely a great place to stop and grab a sandwich and a drink!
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
Ziggy's is a last ditch place is you are traveling toward the Point Udall area. They offer sandwiches, ice cream and groceries of all sorts. Fun and friendly staff. It seems they have events that I didn't see but I've seen postings from others about it. They do offer alcohol and it's a great pit stop for snacks. Found prices to be very reasonable.

Valerie W.

Yelp
Couldn't belive a roadside gas station would have such an awesome brunch but sure enough the place is awesome. Menu is super limited but portions are huge and more importantly delicious.
google avatar

logan s.

Yelp
we went to the grateful brunch here and can I saw we were all blown away. Now I know you might not think that this good food would be at a gas station but it is! We got the chili scrambled egg, Hawaiian sweet roll French toast, and the Grilled cheese stacker and they were all amazing. I would definitely go back for another grateful brunch!
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
Cheap drinks, laid back atmosphere and food. All you want in one place. I only wished they would start selling food earlier. When we went, they did not start till 6pm. You can tell that 99% of the people there are locals. We stood out like a sore thumb, but we didn't feel like it mattered. The gas station store has a good amount of food and drinks on their shelves. The bar is right outside. They have seating. The bartender was super nice. They also have a small deck in the back with picnic tables. Parking can be limited, but available.
google avatar

Yelp
If you want to find quality, flavorful pates or a lucky sandwich (pull pork) in the Island look no further! Great service, wonderful food, and on Monday nights live music so plan your trip, have a great meal, your drink of choice, and have an amazing time!

Michael I.

Yelp
Attended a wedding here and it was awesome. The venue is fun, the people who run the place are great, and the drinks were spot-on. My only regret is that we didn't get to return just to hang at the bar and try some of their food during our stay on the island, as the menu looked really good. But we will next time for sure. Great vibe, awesome swag, and overall cool island experience!
google avatar

Amal S.

Yelp
Bartender was cool- but band was cancelled with no notice and they were sold out of food by 7. Place is always busy with lots of locals. I would go back but understand that like most things on the island- hours, menus and everything else changes at will.

Rich M.

Yelp
what a great place ! we flew in for a wedding and it was being held at Ziggy's. we didn't know what to expect and WE HAD THE BEST TIME ! The owners, Jessie and Jamie are know on St Ctoix as "the twins". what great hosts! The food the atmosphere the music, everything was perfect! If you find yourself on St Croix, there's only one place to Get Drinks, Get Gas and Get Married !! ZIGGY's !! A must !!!
google avatar

Tammy K.

Yelp
I'm not even sure this should get a one star! What a complete disappointment. I saw an add on Facebook offering fajitas for take out during this Corona virus. What I received wasn't anything close! And on top of that, it was absolutely disgusting! The meat was nothing but pure fat and the rest, ice cold. It went straight into the trash. I've added a picture. Let it speak for itself. Will not be back! Will not recommend this to anyone! What a waste of $40.00!!! Two tacos? Seriously! They should be embarrassed!
google avatar

Arlene H.

Yelp
Very casual outdoor seating, but food is gourmet. Specials change each day. Only 3 items on the menu when we went. So not variety for picky kids. However, I had meatloaf wrapped in bacon, with mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn for just under $20. it was a lot of food and good. Husband had Honey chicken (fried) which was just as much and came with no sides. While the flavor was good, a bit expensive for just chicken.
google avatar

Becca S.

Yelp
Yes, it's a gas station and bar/grill combo. The local vibe and flavor were fun. It's outside and no relief from heat, but that's island life!

Will J.

Yelp
Went there for Sunday brunch as we had heard of the place from other visitors to St. Croix. So GLAD we went, the food was great, the location and view is really cool, and while it's kind of self service the staff are wonderful. Recommend getting there before noon. It's looks crowded but we found seating for party of 5 no problem. We finished off the morning with a trip to point Udall, great way to spend a day!
google avatar

Rooty T.

Yelp
Ziggy's is a gas station, small grocery store and on Sunday they serve brunch. Brunch starts around 10 am and the line of customers can be long. Outdoor seating offered a few umbrellas and covered high top table area. A few picnic tables on the deck got full sun exposure, so bring plenty of sunblock. One cook and one server (which is also the hostess) means a long wait to order and be served. We ordered the Slammer and Crab Rangoon Benedict. The slammer was a stacked dish of two pancakes, hash-browns (McDonald's style), sausage patty, loosely scrambled egg, and bacon for $15. The best part was the crispy bacon. The worst part were the dry pancakes. I'm glad I tried Ziggy's for brunch, but will not be back. Toast or Deep End offer better options and overall experience.

Yelp
I debated reviewing this for the sole purpose that I want to keep this hidden gem a secret, but it deserves the recognition. We scoffed when we were told to go to a gas station for Sunday brunch, but now we plan our vacations around it. Try it. It is the fanciest gas station food you'll ever eat (lol) and hands down the best food on the island. They change their menu every week depending on what's found at the local market.

Yelp
Ziggys may have been fine before the hurricanes, but I think they're either maximizing profits now, or having to raise prices because the stock is harder to find. Went there this morning on my way to Point Udall, stopped for a cup of coffee, and was shocked that a small cup of coffee was $3.50. An earlier review said two dollars. More than two months after I published my original review, I was contacted by a man who said he was the owner and that coffee has been $1.50 ever since they bought the place nine years ago. I can't explain to him (or you) why I was charged $3.50, but I can assure you, I was. Another review said wine prices were great? Not by my thinking. Prices were higher than Food Town, which is higher than Pueblo, though both are fair distance away so you're paying for the convenience. They do have a kitchen and a barbecue area. Though I didn't try it, I did meet ZIggy's chef at BaconFest at the Club Commanche in Christiansted. The dish he prepared for the competition was my personal favorite, so I would imagine the food could be pretty good.

Yelp
What can we say? We ate here twice in one week! Chef Aaron is creative! We loved the food and the laid back atmosphere. Denise was super friendly! Our two kids ages 21 and 15 enjoyed the food as well. Sad we didn't know about brunch before it was too late but definitely will hit that up next trip!
google avatar

Stephen C.

Yelp
They fed the ten of us really good food at good rates and with totally awesome friendly service. Everyone there is friendly, and they had what we needed! Cubano sandwiches, die happy hot dog, pulled pork / bbq pork sandwich, curry shrimp over rice - it was all really good.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Wow. Amazing. Laid back, and decent prices on everything. Came here for Sunday brunch - The bloody Mary's are awesome and the bartender "Smokey" grew the tiny tomatoes at his house. The Mamosa was also great. And drinks were 5 bucks!!! That said, the food was the highlight. This "gas station" made some of the best brunch we've ever had. Amazing. My breakfast lasagna had layers of lasagna, with cheese between them, cooked perfect. Then it had a big hash brown, a sausage patty and eggs on top. Topped off with crispy bacon, it was ridiculous. Also had the crab rangoons with poached eggs and they were amazing!!!! Treat yourself. Take the drive. But come early, they get super busy!!!
google avatar

Stuart R.

Yelp
We found Ziggy's by accident as we were renting a house just up the hill from it. Ridiculously good food is all I can say. From the daily kitchen (we had the goat roti), to the chefs who come in and cook outside (taco night is SO, SO good and not traditional either), to Sunday brunch (the biscuits and gravy are out of this world). Very unexpected find and a true treasure. Don't miss it if you're on island.

Yelp
Their Sunday brunch and Cuban sandwiches are fantastic. Drinks at the bar are great and the back patio is very relaxing. While you eat you're surrounded by fruit trees. Dog friendly environment.

Sheila H.

Yelp
Had a lovely lunch on the back patio. We had a cheese panini and hubby had chicken curry. Everything was super yummy! We finished the meal with a chocolate cake- that was just fantastic!

Yelp
Great cubano sandwhich on the north shore. A great stop after a visit to Point Udall, Cramer Park beach, or Issacs/Jacks beaches.
google avatar

Al B.

Yelp
Great convenience store that serves drinks and is filled with friendly locals. Lots of fun for a beer on the way to or from the beach.
google avatar

Louie I.

Yelp
Awesome place to hang out! Food and service is great. Must try if you're in the area!

Bruce S.

Yelp
After we were done shopping, we asked if they could help us find a ride (we were on foot). One of the owners (Dick) offered to go home, grab his car and take us to our dinghy. He told us about the island, helped us with several contacts. A wonderful guy, kind, great service. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Caren A.

Yelp
I fell in love with St. Croix at Ziggys! Great place, amazing food, great company, and Ned is so friendly. Impressed that he knew our names right away and when we returned. Definitely go eat here. Brunch was so good and so was the Bloody Mary.
google avatar

Anthony S.

Yelp
The Cubano was really good, unfortunately it game with an unhealthy dose of second hand smoke...

Andrew H.

Yelp
Cannot say enough about how much I've enjoyed my experience at Ziggy's. Great food, great people, great environment. A must visit.

Rachel B.

Yelp
DELICIOUS lunch stop. Picked up lunch here several times during our week long stay and it was delicious every time. Highly recommend the cubano and chicken salad. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must try for visitors
google avatar

Yelp
Ziggys used to be really cool before it took on additional business partners. It seems to have gotten very clicky recently and post the hurricanes that took place in September of 2017. Prices have risen significantly, Kirby a bartender is rude, I witnessed her throw change at a customer rage-fully and spitefully. It's just not the same place it used to be. In addition, not many true St. Croix locals hang out at this place anymore, the reason is obvious, the service sucks lately, the gas prices are some of the highest on the island and the food is really not that great. Don't waste your time or money here. Lately, one of the original business partners at has gotten extremely arrogant and full of himself which probably why he allows rude bartenders to work the bar. I suggest trying Castaways which is right next door and they seem to treat all customers with equal respect not just the regular bar flies. The food and drink prices are also very reasonable at Castaways.
google avatar

Tina W.

Yelp
Don't miss the opportunity to visit Ziggy's! Ned is the best! And, when they tell you to come by for Sunday Brunch - you need to do it and will understand ... all I can say is mimosas with banana bacon pancakes! Again, come early so you get to enjoy the full menu.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
Highly recommend this gem if you're staying on the East End. Eclectic outdoor bar and the cheapest wine we found within 10 miles! Really helpful staff and great food! They also have an extensive beer selection as well as liquor and beer. There isn't much on this side of the island but this is definitely the best!
google avatar

Lish F.

Yelp
Fun spot full of locals. This little gas station and shop also has a bar and full menu. Beer and food are cheap for island prices and food is really good. There are Corn hole boards and a view of the ocean from the side area. We stopped twice; I had Mac and cheese and my husband had the Cuban sandwich first time, and I had the curry and he had rice and beans second time.
google avatar

Sharon S.

Yelp
Fantastic! Looking for some gas? Beer? Sunscreen? Taste of St. Croix? Nowhere else will do. On the road between Christianstad and Point Udall, we just stopped in for some bottled water. We did notice the aptly named "Libation Station", but figured it was just a little beer bar, but we were surprised when the kitchen adjacent the small market was emitting tantalizing aromas. We made immediate plans to come back for lunch. So glad we did! Possibly one of the best lunches we'd had on our entire vacation. Cubano sandwich and the pork special (with homemade hot sauce) were both fantastic. Ziggy's is pure Crucian fun!

Susan L.

Yelp
Friendly, fun vibrant! An evening spot to let loose and enjoy your surroundings with some great people!
google avatar

Yelp
Chef Aaron and his colleague did an amazing job putting on a private dinner for our family of 12 while we vacationed at the Sugar Mill (which is also incredible). The food was great, the service personal, and the price very reasonable. Hire Chef Aaron for a private dinner while you're on vacation!
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
Our neighborhood bar while on our honeymoon! This place has everything you could possibly need with the most wonderful owners! The entire staff at Ziggys was extremely friendly and helpful during our trip to St. Croix. We stopped by at LEAST once a day while on our trip, whether it was to grab some snacks, gas, a ROADIE, or their DELICIOUS Cuban sandwich (best on the island)!! We'll miss this place the most, but we'll definitely be back! Thanks Ziggys!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing curry chicken salad---always drive over when visiting island. Rude local guy behind counter (10/1/16)
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
We stopped in here for a few items and bought some coffee and were pleasantly surprised how good it was. And only $2 per large cup. So we came back. Bought gas as well. They also serve food but we didn't try any. Friendly folks here too.
google avatar

Sandy R.

Yelp
Ziggy's is a great hangout for locals and/or visitors. It is a gas station with a small market that carries almost anything you might need. There is also a small restaurant with excellent food. The best part of Ziggy's is the Libation Station - a small bar where everyone gathers for Happy Hour. Prices are reasonable, company is always friendly and entertaining, and they have Cornhole for those who wish to play. It's the place to be!!!
google avatar

Yonka M.

Yelp
This is so much more than a gas station with a bar and restaurant, it is the numerous charity events they host, beach cleanings they organize and participate in, public safety announcements, if you need help with anything the owners are the first to jump up to help. it is a place so embedded with the community that it should be a non profit :). In a few short years they have managed to become such a big part of the community we can't imagine east end without them. Ohh and they have great food and drinks too.

John C.

Yelp
Real nice Gas Station / Market. They have awesome hot food from their kitchen too! Chicken Roti, Chili, BBQ Pork, and Pork Chops to name a few on the menu. My friend had the Chicken & I had a Pork Chop - Both were delicious... Sunday is special Island Breakfast with Saltfish... They also have Cold Beer!!!
