"Brussels’ Manneken Pis statue is one of the most famous sculptural images icons in the entire world. Recreations of the famed pissing baby can be found in gardens and fountains all over the world. The appeal of a naked little boy draining the snake can not be underestimated apparently. Lesser known, however, is that the Manneken Pis not only has a female counterpart, Jeanneke Pis, but also a dog known as Zinneke Pis, who is forever lifting his leg onto a Brussels street pole. Zinneke Pis was installed on the corner of Rue des Chartreux and Rue du Vieux Marché aux grains in 1998, centuries after his symbolic master was installed in the city in 1619. Like the little boy and the little girl, the pup was created life-size, but unlike its masters, the Zinneke Pis is not actually a pissing fountain, it is simply a bronze statue. Nonetheless, the metal canine is just as cute, looking a little guilty as he lets loose on the street corner. The bronze buddy is not as well known as his masters, but if people could catch on to his adorable little face, it is no doubt that gardens around the world would be covered in peeing dog statues in no time.  The creator of the dog also lives in the neighborhood, and he modeled it after his own pet, which can still be seen occasionally wandering the area. It is not known how often the real dog pisses in the street, but it can be well assumed that it is not as often as the eternally micturating Zinneke Pis. Also, it’s a boy." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

This is an addition to the "pis" statues in Brussels - a peeing dog, and is bound to put a smile on your face - a life-size, bronze statue of a dog peeing against a street bollard. The place is not as crowded as the Mannekin Pis as is less known to the tourists. What I really liked about it as it's just in the middle of the pavement, perfectly blending in and is easy to miss - takes you by surprise when you first see it.

Our daughter is the biggest fan of dogs and so found this little statue to be hilarious and a highlight of the trip for her. You don't need tickets as its a free statue to see, and on a rainy Tuesday in December we were the only people around so didn't need to wait to be able to take some good pics. Recommend coming here if you're a dog lover for some fun pics!

A short walk from the Famous Manneken Pis.. I quite like this Het Zinneke tongue-in-cheek version with the dog.. I think it adds a sense of light heartedness and fun for Brussels and of course good reflection of the Belgians in the same aspect

Far less crowded than the other two statues from the trilogy depicting people, this doggy is unique in his expression and can be easily overlooked.

A fly-by is recommended while in Brussels. You'll snap a quick photo and then probably be on your way. Unlike the little boy and little girl, this statue is not a fountain. However, it is laid out in the area slightly better, so while it gets busy, it doesn't feel as crowded. Unlike the others, I have not seen this mutt decorated or dressed at any point.

The urinating dog is the last of the collection of pissing bronze sculptures after the boy (Manneken Pis) and the girl (Jeanneke Pis). The word Zinneke means mutt in Flemish, and the sculpture symbolizes the multiculturalism of the people of Brussels. It also refers to the Zenne, the name of the river that formerly flowed in this place and through Brussels in general. In medieval times mongrels tended to be abandoned along its banks or even drowned in the river.

Nice spot to see. The place is not overcrowded and you can actually touch the statue.
