Why You Should Visit Germany’s Ore Mountains - AFAR
"A tin-mining attraction best experienced via a special tour that often includes an underground train ride and a reconstructed medieval wheel pump; above ground the site extends to a Machine Park, a Mineralogical Museum, and a dramatic “mountain parade” display of over a thousand hand-carved and painted wooden figures in the mountain forge." - AFAR
Excellent guided tour by a guy who actually worked in the mine for 20 years. Even included demonstrations of all the mining machinery and vehicles.

I liked this place under day. I could learn how they worked years ago in this mountain to get the materials out of it. The other problem was the ground water. They had to pump it out of the mountain. Realy interesting.

Guided tour 100 meters below in the old metal mines that were in production until 1990. Then production was too expensive, with 100.000,-- D Mark cost a ton, the market price being only 10.000,--.
