The rooms are like little pods. Very modern. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and warm. Separate toilet and shower in the room. Plenty of power points. TV and mood lighting. The bar is actually Very reasonably priced. They have a small menu but welcome you to order take aways. The staff are very polite and the place has a really nice relaxed feeling to it. And I paid £32 for the night. Which is a bargain!

Lovely hotel if your planning a day or two day stay. Staff , very friendly, Nothing to much trouble. Very clean small rooms , Bar was responsible prices , Probably only negative we found, Corridors up to rooms could do with a vacuum.

I stayed at the ZIP hotel a couple of weeks ago and had a great stay. I booked a twin room which was small in size as I expected but there was plenty of room for the night. The rooms are very similar of those in a hub just slightly less technological. The hotel itself is around the back of the sports centre and is a little hidden but there is plenty of signs in the car park to point you in the right direction

Great hotel! Reception staff really friendly! Bar incredibly cheap! 3 something for a pint! The rooms were compact as advertised but we're clean and comfy and lovely ambience lighting! We would definitely stay again.

The staff were very nice and super helpful. The whole place was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was crisp. They even have a recued greeter cat called Zippy, who is lovely, affectionate, and needs it's own social media. I do agree with a lot of the other posts about there being no room amenities, the beds are narrow, the rooms are rather cramped, and they do charge for every single thing they can. It also isn't very central, and if you are not driving, be prepared for extra travel costs as it's a nearly hour walk to the town centre.

Not the most central but convenient nevertheless - 10 mins drive to City Centre. Free parking at the hotel and rooms are very basic as per the website, but perfect for a cheap place to sleep - clean and tidy with hot powerful shower, comfy bed and decent linen. There's plenty of lighting, plug sockets and USB ports. The air conditioning / heating system is foolproof and effective and you can change the temperature, mode, slat position etc of the air con. No window, but the skylight is the size of a large window and fitted like a window and the natural light colour is actually quite deceptive. The room is naturally very cold, but the heating system rapidly makes it toasty. Stars deducted because: 1) the shower riser was slipping, meaning I had to use the body wash holder as a shower holder, 2) the shower leaks and isn't sufficiently water tight in room 6, 3) I appreciate it's budget, but a plastic cup to drink tap water would not break the bank. The hotel is right by a retail park with plenty of amenities - Five Guys, McDonald's, Morrisons, Home Bargains etc. Would certainly stay here again for a place to sleep. Check out 12pm is generous and appreciated. Vegan Baylis and Harding toiletries were nice and met my animal welfare requirements - also not tested on animals.

Suprised by this spot. Wanted a one night stay as moving house and needed to get ou the clutter. Quiet little spot next to the gym. Was very cheap! Room is a pod room but well equipped. Great for a short stay.
