Not the most central but convenient nevertheless - 10 mins drive to City Centre. Free parking at the hotel and rooms are very basic as per the website, but perfect for a cheap place to sleep - clean and tidy with hot powerful shower, comfy bed and decent linen. There's plenty of lighting, plug sockets and USB ports. The air conditioning / heating system is foolproof and effective and you can change the temperature, mode, slat position etc of the air con. No window, but the skylight is the size of a large window and fitted like a window and the natural light colour is actually quite deceptive. The room is naturally very cold, but the heating system rapidly makes it toasty. Stars deducted because: 1) the shower riser was slipping, meaning I had to use the body wash holder as a shower holder, 2) the shower leaks and isn't sufficiently water tight in room 6, 3) I appreciate it's budget, but a plastic cup to drink tap water would not break the bank.
The hotel is right by a retail park with plenty of amenities - Five Guys, McDonald's, Morrisons, Home Bargains etc.
Would certainly stay here again for a place to sleep. Check out 12pm is generous and appreciated. Vegan Baylis and Harding toiletries were nice and met my animal welfare requirements - also not tested on animals.
