Stayed there for 1 night,Its little off beat place , very quiet environment. At night gets very cold, making the atmosphere very calm. 20-30 mins away from Nakuru National Park. Room was luxurious. Food was ok, could add some more Veg options.

We just got back from an incredible four days at Ziwa Bush Camp in Zimbabwe, and honestly, it's the kind of trip that sticks with you. Traveling with our two kids (ages 8 and 11) and my wife, I was a bit nervous about roughing it in the bush, but this place nailed the perfect mix of adventure and comfort without feeling stuffy. The camp itself is tucked away on a private stretch of the Zambezi, with just six canvas tents that sway gently in the breeze nothing fancy, but the views of the river and those massive acacias at dawn? Pure magic. Our guide, Tendai, was a total legend; he spotted a leopard on our first game drive and had the kids giggling over elephant facts like they were inside jokes. One evening, we watched a pod of hippos grunting away from the deck, s'mores in hand, while the fire crackled. The food was surprisingly spot-on too, think fresh bush breakfasts with eggs from who-knows-where and dinners under the stars that had us all forgetting our city diets. The little things made it special: no Wi-Fi meant actual family chats around the campfire, and the kids still rave about tubing down the river (life jackets mandatory, phew). Sure, the tent bathrooms took some getting used to for the squeamish, but hey, waking up to birdsong beats an alarm clock any day. If you're craving that raw, unfiltered Africa with your crew, Ziwa's your spot. Can't wait to go back, already plotting it. 5/5 from this happy herd.

Ziwa Bush Lodge in Kenya is a marvelous place to be. Throughout, you can see the attention to detail and care they take. Our room was simply fantastic. I'm sure I had the best mattress in Kenya. The bathroom was awesome too. Dramatic actually. The ground of Ziwa are lush and green. The reception is simple and as you can see in my photos, the dining area contains a large indoor fire. It's somewhere I would recommend and I'll return in 2027. Thanks Ziwa!!!

Our -day stay at Ziwa Bush Camp, nestled just outside Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya, and it’s hands-down one of our best trips yet. With our two kids (8 and 11) and my wife, I wasn’t sure how we’d handle the wilds, but Ziwa blended rugged charm with just enough comfort to keep everyone grinning.|The camp sits in a quiet pocket of acacia-dotted savanna, with six canvas tents offering killer views of the plains—sunrise over the lake was a showstopper. Our guide, Kamau, was a rockstar, spotting a pair of white rhinos on our first game drive and keeping the kids hooked with stories about flamingos and cheeky baboons. One evening, we sat on the deck, toasting marshmallows by the fire, watching a herd of zebras graze in the distance. The food was a highlight—freshly baked ugali, hearty stews, and breakfasts that tasted like they came straight from a farm.|No Wi-Fi meant we actually talked, played cards, and laughed together, which was a rare treat. The kids are still buzzing about the guided bush walk where they learned to track antelope prints. The tented bathrooms were a bit rustic for my wife at first, but waking up to the chatter of weaver birds made it worth it. Ziwa’s the real deal for families wanting an authentic taste of Kenya’s wild heart. We’re already dreaming of our next visit. 5/5 from our happy clan.

The lodge is located quite a distance from Lake Nakuru, tucked away inside a corn plantation and residential area. Our rooms were near the reception, but it was about a 5-minute walk to the restaurant.||One of our rooms had strong hot water pressure, but the other did not. Food options were limited, though what was served was decent.||It rained during dinner, making the walk back to the rooms a bit challenging, but umbrellas were thoughtfully provided. Unfortunately, the heavy rain caused some water leakage from the wall in one of our rooms. Thankfully, our luggage on the floor was not affected

We stayed at the Ziwa for one night during a 5 night safari break. Everything about our stay was incredible and I only wish we could have stayed longer. |The cottage was stunning, well laid out and well insulated and the turn down service included putting hot water bottles in our bed ready to climb into, which was such a thoughtful gesture. |The setting was magnificent - beautiful pond, nice swimming area and really authentic whilst being clean and well kept. The dining area was dreamy, with a large log burner to sit near and cosy up with a book. The food was great and they even served us breakfast earlier than their usual time as we were leaving early for a game drive.|It was our honeymoon and they made the bed specially with flower petals and chocolate - again very thoughtful and beautiful. ||Thank you Ziwa! Highly recommend |Ben & Rachel

We recently stayed at Ziwa Bush Lodge during a 2 week group trip through East Africa and what a delight it was! Our friendly and genuine welcome (after a long days travel) set the tone for our overnight stay. All staff were helpful and friendly, the main lodge was a great place to unwind in (with the soaring ceiling and open fire) and where we enjoyed the delicious meals. Our accomodation was clean, the bed very comfortable (& the thoughtful touch of hot water bottles was much appreciated) and having a kettle and the/coffee making facilities a lovely bonus. All of this was in a tranquil setting.

||This is a lovely little resort tucked away about 25 minutes from Lake Nakuru ||We stayed in mid August so bear in mind it gets chilly and the windows are just mesh with a blind to cover them so did get cold, the hot water bottles were a nice surprise when we got into bed and though, the shower was lovely and quickly warmed us up. The accomodation was very well presented.||The area where you had your meals overlooked a pond which looked lovely.||There was a lovely sofa area with a log fire in the middle you could all chill around in the evenings for drinks after a long day or game drives.||Dinner and breakfast were served buffet style while lunch was a la carte. There was also a bar by the swimming pool where you could buy drinks and addtional food as required.||The resort is very close to an orphanage which is pretty much on the same grounds and they can arrange free tours, so if you have space it would be nice to bring some school resources to give them.
