I stayed two nights in this hotel. Although it looks nice from the description, when you get there the reality is different. I paid €178 per night and expected something decent! This looks like a guest house (hostel) rather a hotel. Value for money is very low, poor breakfast, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet all the time, a sinkhole smell. Poor room service, towels not changed every day. The rooms are not properly ventilated and there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Extremely expensive for the service it provides.

One girl helped us really good, she was really friendly, printing a city map of copenhagen for us because she couldn't find any. Rooms are dated (90s I guess) but its kind of nice. Probably was a real nice hotel a decade or 2/3 ago. Location is great for Roskilde, we did it to visit Copenhagen. Worked great with the city pass and train. We would recommend for something like that. If you want a really fancy hotel, this is not the place. When I used the bath and took the plug out the whole bathroom floor flooded. Neighbour's were noisy, woke us up multiple times.

An elevator may have helped "lift" my experience with this hotel. There wasn't one which was accessible to the room I was allocated and lugging bags up three flights of stairs was uncomfortable to say the least. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were a bit tired. Also my toilet could have done with a good scrub. The location, however, is superb, and the exterior and history of the hotel are lovely.

Let's first count the positive points: the hotel (1) is in the absolute centre of Roskilde and (2) has free parking. Now let's remember that we paid 3,600 DKK or 468€ for 2 nights or 234€/night. Our room was so-called Scandinavian Design. We call it bare (with loads of serious paint scratches on the doors). Here's what you get for 234€/night: (1) beds of only 70cm width, (2) no coffee/tea set, (3) only 5 TV channels (3 Danish & 2 Swedish) (when I inquired why only 5, I got, honestly, the reply that it was a cost cutting exercise), (4) no safe, no airco (worse, it was hot outside and the floorheating was ON). so, my advice: you get a lot more value for money somewhere else.

The hotel is centrally located in Roskilde. The train station is 300 metres away and so is the Roskilde Cathedral. Some great restaurants nearby. The docks are a 15min walk where you have the Viking museum. Reception staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms can be different depending on whether you are in the new or old building The first 10 rooms of all floors are new and swanky. After that the old rooms begin. The rooms don't have kettles, cups etc but you can get them from the reception. Breakfast options are good but limited. There is free parking but ensure that you register at the reception else there is a fine. I am giving 4 stars for the central location, good connectivity, free parking, decent breakfast and friendly staff.

Lovely hotel in convenient spot. Very central and within walking distance of train station. Nice public areas and continental breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were warm, comfortable and nice and quiet at night. A little "shabby chic" in some parts of the room we stayed in, but that is also pretty fashionable now. Overall, great place to stay, if on the slightly pricey.

Nice and warm place in the city center of Roskilde. Good as the substitution of home for few weeks. Nice service (especially in the reception). Close to train station, close to Roskilde port, close to fantastic Cathedral, close to Copenhagen downtown.. Rooms are stylish, clean (thanks of nice and professional service), warm (I've been there during the winter time) and comfortable. Breakfast service- no doubts. When You plan to spend nice time in Roskilde- stay in Zleep!

Great if you like the 1960s. The room is VERY old 🗝️ Not very luxurious. They use the same product for hand wash / shower gel / shampoo. I guess that's a cheap solution, but it also looks and feels cheap. The cheapest thin towels I have seen in a while. Only one small window. They have a self service check-in system with a horrible user interface 😒 But still faster than waiting in line to be checked in manually. They have a lot of TV channels if watching TV in a hotel room is your thing.
