Where to Stay in Mexico City During Your Visit (Updated 2025)

"Housed in a late-19th-century building right on the Zócalo, I enjoyed Zócalo Central's rooftop bar with incredible views over the square, plus amenities like free bicycles, a fitness center, a steam room, and guest rooms with hardwood floors, high ceilings, AC and coffee machines." - Matthew Kepnes

The 5 Best Hotels in Mexico City (Updated 2025)

"Housed in a late-19th-century building right on the Zócalo, this four-star hotel is as centrally located as you can get; the rooftop bar offers absolutely incredible views over the square and I love that the complimentary breakfast is served up there every morning with both Mexican dishes and continental staples. Guests get free bicycles, a fitness center, and a steam room, plus a unique perk: a 24/7 lobby café where everything is complimentary (coffee, tea, pastries, fruit, sandwiches, and snacks) and fridges of free water and fruit on every floor. The guest rooms have a historic, moody feel with stormy grey walls, dark hardwood floors, wood-beamed ceilings, and chandeliers, yet double-glazed windows make them quiet; all rooms feature a desk, plus-sized TV, AC, safe, and a coffee machine, and the bathrooms, while a bit small, have showers with excellent water pressure and complimentary toiletries. This is an excellent choice if you want to be close to many of the city’s main sights." - Matthew Kepnes

Right from arrival, we were treated with so much enthusiasm and courtesy. We were offered drinks, our bags were quickly collected and the concierge service was excellent as was the check in process. We booked a view of the Zocalo room and it did not disappoint. An absolutely beautiful and well equipped room with a stunning view. Of note: I had forgotten some clothes in a drawer and they happily made arrangements to return my items to me. It was such a great experience overall. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful, well appointed, beautiful hotel. The staff went above and beyond, even before we arrived, to make our stay memorable. Our room was extremely confortable and well appointed. We stayed in the room called Zocalo, as it overlooks the cathedral and the Zocalo. We were concerned about noise from the zocalo but the hotel is well insulated. Didn't dine in the restaurant but did have breakfast. The food was superb and the service outstanding. The view is amazing.

This hotel blew my expectations. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing and the ambiance is extraordinary. Comfortable bed, amazing amenities and truly 5 star service. Vianney and the concierge team left a sweet note with chocolates and other gifts. Highly recommend this hotel. Also, you can’t beat the location and the view from the terrace. I can’t wait to come back!

My stay at this establishment has been exceptionally positive. The service has been remarkable, and the staff has been exceptionally friendly. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the housekeeping staff, who went above and beyond to meet our needs. Every evening, we would conclude our day at the café, where we were consistently greeted and accommodated by Daniella and Michelle. Their kindness and friendliness made our entire stay a truly memorable experience!

Google
We had a great stay at this hotel over Christmas 2024. We were allocated a well appointed room overlooking Zocalo square. The service level was good but was not to the level that we’d expect of a high-end hotel. The snack bar by the reception in particular was slow and not the best. That being said, our room was such a well located room that we didn’t really care about the service level. The included breakfast was very good. The pictures I’ve uploaded were taken from our hotel room.

We had a fabulous 4 night stay at this hotel. We came to this hotel with a family of 4. We were greeted upon arrival by Raul and the front desk. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms were always clean everyday by housekeeping. Also, the snack bar was very good with lots of options to choose. Axel and Daniela always greeted us every time we came down for some snacks. They both did a great job providing great service for all of us.

This property was very convenient, very clean, and a beautiful rooftop view. The staff there were great especially the door guy Raul, he went above and beyond for us and was the kindest soul. He gave us great recommendations for food and places to check out. We ate the largest and most delicious tamales there were because of his recommendation. Our housekeeper Areli, also did an amazing job with keeping our room clean, organized, and fully stocked with everything we needed. The location around the hotel was perfect for us to walk to all the different historical sights around. 10/10 would recommend this place to all my friends traveling to Mexico City.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Zocalo Central! Staff was very friendly and helpful every day during our stay. Everyone from desk desk and bar staff to housekeepers and doorman went above and beyond. Jose Luis was superb - he assisted with finding reliable transportation and providing directions around the city. I would highly recommend staying here.

Yelp
Hotel Zócalo Central We had a very positive experience during our week stay, starting from about 2 days before we even arrived. Reservations contacted me by email about transportation from MEX airport to the hotel. Since our flight arrived about 10:30PM, we made advance arrangements for that service via an App link they sent me. I also made a restaurant reservation before leaving home. Everyone we came into contact with was very helpful. All the streets near the hotel were closed off (security reasons) the day we had arranged, via the consignere, for a taxi to meet our food tour. The desk clerk rescheduled our taxi and got someone to escort us to the new pickup point a few blocks away. We are so grateful for that. We would have lost our food tour money if the staff had not gone above the expected. The staff was unfailingly patient with us being none-Spanish speakers. Our room was larger than we expected. In July 2024, we booked a Family Room plan that included breakfast, all tips, 2 double beds at 59% reduction during their "Summer Sale". There was plenty of drawer space to unpack for the week and a safe for our passports. There was a decent room view. Take the free daily tour done by a professional guide on your 1st day to get oriented. Only thing missing was a fridge and microwave for us Americans. But you won't miss them because you get free snacks from Cafe Central near the lobby, 24/7. That includes beer but not wine or tequila. I had some delicious chicken soup from the cafe. I also got ice in a cup from the cafe. Free chilled bottled water is in a hall fridge. I would stay here again. It is central to everything in CDMX and near a subway stop.

Yelp
Honestly I had higher expectations for this hotel but it fell short in a lot of ways. First the positives. The hotel is very nice inside and the staff is friendly. The cost was also very reasonable especially since it included breakfast and free drinks and snacks. The breakfast itself was spectacular and the best part of the hotel. Now for the negatives. Our room was not clean (masks and someone's medicine inside drawers, trash inside trash cans and dust on the floor ). It also lacked some basics like hand towels and soap. The standard room is tiny and there is barely any room around the bed. The bathroom is also very small and the shower pressure is way too strong. One of the days they forgot to clean our room. On the night of our check ins we were promised an upgrade the next day and told to not unpack as we will be moved. Well that was later taken back by the manager who said they couldn't accommodate us. Lastly and most importantly this area of Mexico City is way too crowded and it takes 45 minutes to get out of here by Uber and get to Roma or Polanco. It's actually faster to just walk towards your destination and take an Uber when you leave the historic area. A lot of demonstrations take place here so be prepared to hear some noise.

Yelp
I will visit this location forever and ever!! The location is in the middle of everywhere I wanted to be. Walking, bring comfy shoes. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. It's clean and trendy and full of decor. The pictures match the rooms, they have food and drinks onsite. The restaurant in the hotel definitely needs a reservation ahead of time. So may be best to reserve a table when you book the room! It's been a year and I didn't make a review because I don't want it booked for when I return! Hahaha Lastly & Most importantly (for me), I felt safe here. I visited solo and felt like the staff kept an eye out for me. Where not to go at what time, & which restaurants were a no-go.

Yelp
Great place and location to stay at. Staff is amazing and the place is very clean. The location is very safe since there is a lot of police around. There is museums and a beautiful church at walking distance as well as stores and places to eat. Delicious breakfast included in your stay and snacks (waters, teas, draft beer, sandwiches etc).

Yelp
Loved this boutique hotel right in the middle of city center. It's beautiful, personalized and has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Rooms are good, super clean and comfortable though bathrooms are a bit small. Their highlight is the gorgeous rooftop restaurant and bar that overlooks the city center. Here they serve excellent Mexican food, cocktails and complimentary breakfast. We had dinner and drinks the first night there. The bar tender generously gave us a tasting of mezcals, fixed some great cocktails for us along with some delicious food; tostadas, ceviche, tacos and bruschetta. They also have a 24/7 cafe serving complimentary food and non alcoholic drinks for all guests through their stay. I wouldn't imagine any other hotel doing this, so considerate and convenient. You need not worry about drinking water at all, they have an unlimited supply of bottled water on every floor. In addition they also have a concierge desk available 12 hrs a day to plan their tours. They offered us a free walking tour but unfortunately our days were over subscribed. The staff is super hospitable and helpful. All in all an excellent hotel for a delightful stay. The only con I would point out is the location. Always crowded, lots of traffic and regular protests/ demonstrations. There were protests on 2 days of the 5 days we stayed there, which makes it a bit less than ideal. We had to plan our day accordingly. But I will stick to 5 stars coz you get a lot of bang for your buck here and they more than make up for this shortfall.

Yelp
They probably don't even know about Yelp ratings, but they do earn the ratings that they are getting. Yes, rooms are a tad cramped. For a base camp it has all you need. Warm meals (breakfast and snacks at the cafe are complementary) and a really decent place to sleep, updated bathrooms, spotty Wi-Fi for one user, walking distance to hop on hop off bus and close to the heart of the historic district. Excellent service from front desk to bellman to housing staff including the restaurant is top notch. Uber XL from the airport 306 pesos. Pros far outweighs the cons and price is right. When we come back it's going to be here.

Yelp
Rooms are well appointed, but simple. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is wonderful. You can order anything you want from the menu: lots of hot dishes to choose from and fresh squeezed juices. The waiters and front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. Well situated in the historical zone of Mexico City close to the Zocalo and other sights of interest. What sets this hotel apart is the service, though: everyone bends over backwards to make your stay comfortable. You can also order anything from the cafe for free: sandwiches, salads (highly recommended), smoothies, lattes, and even popsicles! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I am going to try and be very objective: Pros: 1) the hotel is phenomenally located IF you want to be next to the main zocalo! 2) the porters (staff handling luggage) are quite professional and front desk also 3) the breakfast space is really amazing and the servers are all very sweet and the service is fast. 4) there is a coffee/water/juice and sandwich cafe downstairs that offers everything for free (vegetarian sandwiches are terrible though) ; its a really nice thing to have free drinks Cons: 1) the breakfast already made on buffet has NO HOT vegetarian options. You can have fruit or croissant (that is burned and not good) but if you want eggs you have to order them.. which delays your breakfast time. That said, kitchen is fast. 2) the rooms have an odd sewage smell occasionally.. not sure if its the pipes or what but its not great 3) the rooms are incredibly small. By the time i put my luggage on luggage stand in the hall, I had to tiptoe around .. 4) the shower head has a lot of pressure (great) but it doesnt really move so you cant take a shower without washing your hair and most importantly you cant really properly wash yourself ; that was super annoying 5) i am 99.999% sure that my camera bag was stolen from the room (i usually have cash in pockets) and i am a trusting person so i didnt really think someone would do this but there is no way i would return to my room without the case since my camera goes in the case for security... so how did that case mysteriously disappear? The most frustrating part is that i contacted the hotel twice via email since then (maybe they can check caleras?!) and although the manager was responding to me prior to my visit, post my visit he is ignoring my emails.. quite disappointing. 6) the uber pick up is 1 block away. This is typically fine except when you are carrying heavy things..! And if you come here for an event like dia de los muertos, you are STUCK because ubers will not come here.... And the area is shady at night....

Yelp
Beautiful hotel inside and out. Excellent service. This is located in the historical center, which adds so much more to the charm and experience of the hotel. The rooms though they can be a little small, they are still wonderfully comfortable. We didn't spend much time in the room, so we weren't concerned with how big the room was. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the room. Very quiet rooms, even for being so close to very populated areas. The shower/bathroom in our room was definitely the only con we found at this hotel. It was too small. I'm short so the shower water hit me right in the face the entire time, we could not move the head to get it any lower. My partner is tall and he at least got water to hit his chest. Because of the small shower and him being tall, the water flowed out of the shower onto the bathroom floor often. As for the breakfast included from the restaurant upstairs, it was lovely. After a few days it did get old. However, you can order off a menu for an additional charge. The juices were fresh and delicious. The pastries were also very nice with coffee or hot chocolate. But the view is spectacular. So even if you don't want the breakfast stop up to see the view in the morning, you won't be disappointed. Another wonderful perk is the 24/7 Cafe in the lobby. It was so nice to be able to get pastries, coke, water, coffee, small sandwiches and other snacks for free all night. We did utilize the gym, it was very small. At one point there were 3 people using it and it was very hard, but we managed. Overall, this hotel was an excellent find! It's very central and surrounded by beautiful buildings, along with shopping such as Nike, Zara, h&m, and other shops. Would highly recommend staying here, even if just for a few nights.

Prime location in zocalo with great ambiance as you walk in to the hotel .. Staff was great and courteous. Room - clean and spacious enough . Yelp
Lovely hotel near so many attractions! The rooms were clean and staff were very attentive. The view from Balcon de Zocalo hotel is amazing! The free breakfast at the restaurant and free beer and snacks from the hotel lobby was a nice surprise. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Center located historical building! The outlook and ambiance and decor made out stay very pleasant! Very elegant and comfortable! It was almost like traveling back in the past!! The service was outstanding!! As a 17 years work experience in a 5 star hotel, their service need the other hotel employees to learn! Impressive Concierge service provided by Raul, he was always caring, attentive to our needs, with the respect and smiles on his face! He is knowledgeable to answer all our questions, and give us honesty suggestions! The the front desk Edith was very friendly and professional, the best front desk worker during our stay! Don't remember the small sweet girl at the 24 hours lobby cafe, she provided the efficiency and great service too! The roof top restaurant has the stunning view of the whole historical Zocalo Centro Plaza!! We booked through Expedia, with flight fare and four days stay, it was a very fair price including welcome Tequila, 24/7 free food at lobby cafe ( only wine is not included). Strongly recommend!!

Yelp
This is a hotel and terrace restaurant in Zocalo area of Mexico City with fascinating views. We had really refreshing and original drinks here. If you get a chance to sit towards the front of the terrace, you could see historic city center with hustle and bustle below. Although on terrace it feels quiet. February sun was upon us as much needed for the folks coming from freezing temperatures of Midwest. I will visit this place again.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel located in the best spot in downtown. The balcony restaurant in the 6th floor has amazing views of the city and the included breakfast is one of the best you can have in the city. There are courtesy bottles of water in all the floors and fresh apples for a quick healthy snack. I just loved the fact that they do not limit you to one bottle of water a day like most hotels nowadays Service was great and the parking staff was very helpful and accommodating. My one complaint is that the rooms were not ready when we arrived (4:39pm) although the check in was supposed to be at 3pm. Definitely annoying but I can let t go because he hotel is sooooo nice. The furniture ,decorations and amenities are impressive. Getting there on a Saturday was a bit chaotic with all the traffic around the city center but it was to be expected. Public transportation would be a much better option if we didn't have the bags.

Yelp
Small cozy hotel located in a prefect historic location. This hotel is located right where you want to be when your in Mexico City! Services was awesome from everyone in there too. I stayed here 5 nights in July and luckily it rain during the night and sunny during the day so we were able to tour around the city without any problem. The hotel provided free breakfast for the guest, but it is the same everyday so you will get bored and want to skip it. The morning view on the 6th floor rooftop was breathtaking for breakfast if you just want coffee or juices. There is a 24hours bar free of charge for drinks, sandwiches, yogurt and fruits for the guest who just want to stay in. There is a taco taqueria next door so you be good! Everyone in the hotel was great from start to end. The room is small but it is okay since you be enjoying the outdoor most of the times. The hotel is next to the shopping area and many foods so you be good to stay here!

Yelp
Excellent Luxury Boutique Hotel! Great location and 6 Stars in my book! Thank you to Francisco and his whole team who provided exceptional service throughout the entire stay! The restaurant Balcon del Zocalo is phenomenal; the view of the Zocalo central, the fine cuisine, and the drinks are all exquisite. I highly recommended staying here!

Yelp
An absolutely amazing hotel. Surely one of the best I've ever stayed at. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful. Bottled water and apples are on every floor. Don't forget the breakfast on the top floor of the hotel with an unforgettable view of the Zócalo.
google avatar

Megan W.

Yelp
Perfect location, art displayed in the lobby and near the rooms, free cafe for guests, and AMAZING ROOFTOP. They literally offered us tequila as we checked in. That alone gets a star. This place was the perfect spot for an overnight stay in Mexico City. They provided coffee and bottled water in our rooms as well as a hand-written note welcoming us. It was walking distance to tons of fun spots including El Cardenal, El Moro, Cafe El Popular, the main city square, and taco stands galore. The room wasn't huge, but we didn't spend much time in there. Bed was a queen and did feel on the small side, but again...it didn't really bother us. Super affordable, very clean and welcoming, and right in the middle of everything.
google avatar

Barbara A.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best, if not THE BEST hotel I've ever stayed at! They were super cautious with Covid protocols and I felt very safe at the property. It's walking distance to most sites, and has easy Uber accessibility for those further away sites. The staff was incredibly kind and sweet and made great recommendations when we asked for them! The room was spectacular and spotless: 10/10 for this hotel.

Yelp
This hotel is located in a very good spot (literally everything downstair) in downtown CDMX. I stayed in standard no view room with one king bed. The room is clean, comfy and quiet. The mattress and pillows are so soft and comfortable. Room's size is not very big but enough for solo or two. Restroom is big with two sinks and one standing shower room. No mini fridge in the room. Breakfast is available from 7-10am in the balcony restaurant on six floor. Food and the balcony view are good. Water and apple are free in the fridge on the corridors. The service and the staffs are good. They help me to book the day tours to Teotihuacán and Frida Kahlo House. Price are way way cheaper if you book in local hotel ( half the price of the us travel website) Tour bus picked me up and drop me off at my hotel. They also help me to book a transfer car to international airport( 250 peso). If you have an early flight they can prepare a sandwich and a can of soft drink in a bag for you. I will stay here again if I visit CDMX next time.

Yelp
I'm a frequent traveler and traditionally stick with marriotts/hiltons/ihg but this was one heck of pleasant surprise. Beautiful hotel, excellent waitstaff. The food 24hrs a day is FREE. The rates very reasonable. Valet parking is also free! I doubt I will stay anywhere else on future trips to Mexico City.

Alexa B.

Yelp
Helllooo!! This is my favorite hotel in Mexico City! Love the service, love the location, and love the views! The cafe has 24 free beer, soda, soups and sandwiches. The front desk staff are always happy to find you a last minute tour. I'm coming back...and so should you!

Yelp
We just finished a week at the Zocalo Central Hotel. We were treated like family from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The best part of the Hotel Zocalo Central is the STAFF! The go above and beyond making sure we were taken care of in every way. The bell men literally ran a block to meet us because the street was closed due to the free Rosalia concert on the Zocalo. The check-in seamless with a welcoming tequila shot! Our room was beautiful, clean, nicely appointed, with a safe for our valuables. The concierge took care of all of our tours. A free walking tour starts in the lobby daily of the historic central of CDMX-3-4 hours. The cafe with free: coffee, speciality coffees, drinks, snacks, sandwiches, soups, and salads are wonderful-don't forget free beer-24/7! The daily free breakfast on the balcony is over the top scrumptious and delightful. We had the tasting menu with the added drinks pairing and it was a culinary exploration of CDMX cuisine on the magical terrace in the evening. When it was time to leave, the bell men and concierge made sure with our Uber driver we would be taken directly to Terminal 2 at the airport. Hotel Zocalo is the BEST!
google avatar

Cristina B.

Yelp
Personnel at the door excellent. Reception desk excellent. Cafe central, this little coffee and snack place inside the hotel well stay away! The food and drinks are free but that is no excuse for the bad service, deplorable food and all around disappointing experience. Given that the hotel is very nice I was expecting more. How can you possibly ruin a torta?

Yelp
We had a lovely visit. The location is amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's conveniently near the airport. The amenities are great. The food at the restaurant. THE FOOD AT THE RESTAURANT!!! Its incredible. I recommend this place to any and all.

Yelp
Great place. Super cute and boutique-ish! Adorable decor. The room was clean, nice and functional a bit small but it did the trick. No complains. Every floor had bottled water and fresh apples available for your added convenience and the complimentary breakfast was not shabby at all. I looked forward to it every day. The location was right smack in the middle of the downtown area and we were able to walk to many places

Yelp
We loved loved Zocalo Central. Me and my bestie planned our trip strictly for sightseeing. The location is perfect. We arrived super extra early and they checked us in I believe at noon (at no extra charge, check in was 3). The customer service from any staff you encounter is amazing. They are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable: they do speak English for those non-Spanish speaking travelers. The hotel is centrally located to literally everything. For the first 3 days we walked and explored everywhere because that's how close the museums, catedral, palacios, and other historic sites are. The tour busses are literally downstairs from the hotel. The friendly staff helped coordinate our tour to Teotihuacan which was overwhelmingly beautiful. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Breakfast is included for guests (from 7-10am) which comes with an amazing view of the plaza, catedral and palacio nacional. Con: Yes, the rooms are on the smaller side, if you're used giant spacious rooms, but everything is available, clean and comfy. If you're looking for a 5 diamond luxurious spa hotel then look elsewhere. Pros: This is a great hotel who's main focus is for those wishing to experience the heart of Mexico City. The rooms are decently priced, free bottled water and apples throughout the hotel, the hotel and our room were always clean, excellent customer service, centrally located, fantastic views, free breakfast (great tasting) and the beds were comfy. I would totally stay here again and this would be the only hotel I would stay at while visiting Mexico City. Both me and my sister from another mister loved it!!!

Yelp
Ayyy caramba, were we spoiled at this wonderful gem of a hotel in Mexico's beautiful historic city center!! From our welcoming drinks when we first arrived to the incredibly helpful staff, to the super convenient, central location, the top of the line facilities, the gorgeous views, and all the little "extras," this was waaaaaaaaaay beyond our expectations!! I lived and worked in (northern) Mexico for several years, and always went and stayed at super budget, MUY economico places, but figured, what the heck, after a nine year absence from one of my favorite "homes away from home," why not go for broke, especially when the exchange rate's in your favor and you're making it a second (third?) honeymoon to boot?!? Some will say that you've got to stay in the chic, over-priced, cookie-cutter high-rise hotels in the fancier parts of the city, but if you don't stay in the Zocalo area (IMO) you'll NEVER get a taste of the good, the bad and the WONDERFUL of Mexico City. Just about any time of year is great in this area, but the Christmas to New Years week is not to be missed, and you've got a front seat to it here. I almost wished we had a room facing the Zocalo (main plaza) but we got a quieter one off of the inner courtyard, which probably worked out for the best. We sprang for the king sized bed and the Jacuzzi (!!) which meant a weird, "open air" bathroom, but got used to going semi "al fresco!!" So many extras, including a nice welcome note and nightly turn-in service with a candy from the management, free bottled water and apples, and excellent concierge service any time, day or night!! Try the roof-top restaurant buffet for breakfast. It's pricey, but with a BEAUTIFUL view, and the traditional fare will fill you up for a full day of your wanderings around this wonderful, terrible, unforgettably AWESOME city!!

Ruben A.

Yelp
This hotel is centralize to all main activities that the city has to provide. About 25 min away from the hotel. The service from the hotel was great, they where always friendly and ready to assist. The reason that I rated the hotel a 4/5 was due to the fact that the hotel's dinner menu can be little better, at least provide more authentic food to the country.

Melanie T.

Yelp
Excellent hotel very beautiful rooms situated right in the heart of the historical part of Mexico City the restaurant Is so good and the staff helps you out with whatever you need
google avatar

Yelp
I stayed here for four days. The check in was a disaster they booked our Zocalo view room and blamed Expedia, they said the manager would get back to me but never did. They gave us early check in for the "bargain" price of 60 dollars. Room was clean and they left macrons a a single serving of wine a nice touch. The hotel is the perfect location if you're venturing around downtown. Breakfast buffet gets old after the second day luckily El Cardenal is around the corner! Towels are like sandpaper. They have plenty of water and apples in the hallway which was very convenient. We were never offered shots of tequila at check in and had to pull teeth to get them very tacky on the hotels part. I definitely will not be back.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to stay in CDMX. The hotel is conveniently located in the centro historico. The BEST rooftop deck for people watching, breakfast, and cocktails is atop this hotel. The rooms are clean, roomy, and the staff is great.

Yelp
Great location, great price, great service; what's not to love? AAA+, would definitely stay again. They took COVID quite seriously, as did everywhere around there. Lovely rooms, well appointed. I could have used a fridge and a microwave, but their on site cafe and restaurant more than made up for the lack.

Yelp
Walked in and we were received by the most gracious, courteous hotel staff in the world. In all our global travel, we have never felt this special. Within 20 minutes we were offered water, fresh juice and apples..This hotel is a must visit for anyone comming to Mexico city. Stay tuned for an update when we check out.

Yelp
Location is perfect. Walking distance to lots of shopping, Tour Buses, Zocalo, Metropolitan Catholic Church and great taco stands. Uber pick up and drop off is super easy here. The room is small but super clean and well designed. We enjoyed the breakfast and view from the roof top. I would definitely return and recommend.

Yelp
We ADORE this hotel. The best location in Mexico City, an incredibly accommodating staff, and get this: FREE PARKING. Trust me, peeps: parking at any price is hard to find in Mexico City. Every floor has chilled water and snacks, breakfast is the bomb, and we loved the rooftop restaurant so much we dined there twice. The food is crazy good, and the views are phenomenal.

Yelp
This place is not only gorgeous, perfectly clean, and located in the Historic center of the city. Its architecture evoque a combination of classy warming and elegance. They are really committed when serving their guests with the most professional, kind, and attentive staff. The room fees includes amazing breakfast at a beautiful restaurant with a view over the historic center area. The breakfast is not what you can imagine as a complementary one but the opposite. Their offering has a great variety of omelettes, bacon, ham, sausages, cheeses, hot chocolate, coffee and much more with a high-end restaurant quality... forget about what you have received as a complementary breakfast because here nothing is standard at all. Another convenience they have is a 24 hours free food station with salads, sandwiches, parfait, smoothies, pastries, and much more and yes, for free. Each floor has a free water and apples station. I would like to give an special compliment to Jose Rivera and Alexey for their extraordinary and attentive care of me during my restaurant's visits. By the way, at night, the restaurant offers a wonderful environment and a great menu plenty of delicious plates for you to enjoy with an extensive beverage options. This place is a Must !! My gratitude to all of them for making my stay so enjoyable!

Yelp
The hotel has good Location, Customer Service is good however getting to the hotel after hours can be challenging because of the street closures. Room service seems to have challenges in taking your order. We ordered scrambled eggs with canadian bacon and we got sunny up eggs with ham on the side...and cold. The food arrived approximately 45 min later and it was not even warm...yes, cold dishes. My girlfriend asked for fruits and specifically asked to NOT send pineapple because she is allergic...guess what? They sent extra pineapple. We paid cash almost $500 pesos and they still charged my credit card. At this point I'm not sure if we'd come back. We had reserved the junior suite with jacuzzi but the room does not have any privacy from the toilet to the actual room, no doors. The room itself It feels like a big box.

Yelp
The smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in (and I travel to NYC all the time)! I know they had vacant larger rooms, but think I got shafted due to booking through booking.com instead of direct. Book direct and you'll be treated better. Hotel rooms, staff, restaurant and location are great. Cost $175/night. Watch your bank statement to be sure they don't inflate exchange rate of peso to US dollar.

Yelp
Rooms are small but comfortable. Location can't be beat. Stayed for 3 nights, good value with included full breakfast. Temperature in room was difficult to regulate and TV quality was poor, but who goes to Mexico City to watch TV? Plenty of cold bottled water available free of charge ( and apples)

Yelp
Great location! Unfortunately, for over $120 per night (5) we were provided with a service comparable to a $30 per night place, and a small room. The hotel is not "Paisano" friendly. In fact, they will give you an arrogant attitude if you address them in Spanish. Sadly, our first stayed made us come back again, with the treatment our family received this time, coming back is out of the question. We will stay in nearby hotels for half the price and better "Paisano" customer service. Breakfast style buffet gets old in 5 days... It seems that the front desk staff doesn't realize patrons pay their paychecks... Sad...

Yelp
Excellent location in the historic center of Mexico City. Friendly staff always ready to offer assistance. Although our well-appointed room was a little small by American standards, everything was new and clean. Don't hesitate - book a room and visit an amazing city. We look forward to returning.

Yelp
I was so disappointed with this hotel... Beds are so small that can bearly fit one person and it was two of us... Rooms are very small also...one day we come back from the streets and our room was all messed up garbage in the sink bed was not done... I guess the housekeeper forgot to finished, so we had to wait for her to do our room(we got back around 5pm so that's enough time to get this done)...the only reason I'm giving 2stars is location which is perfect for tourists ... Sorry

Yelp
We loved Zocalo Central. This was our first time in Mexico City and the friendly staff went out of their way to help us find our way around and make us feel at home. While the rooms aren't as luxurious as the rest of the hotel, our room was quaint and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location if you want to explore Mexico City's historical district. And we highly recommend breakfast at the hotel's rooftop restaurant overlooking the cathedral - it had an extensive selection of local and Western breakfast options.

Yelp
Used to be a Holiday Inn. You can still see signage and other Holiday Inn remnants in places. This hotel has a fantastic location, right next to the plaza on a relatively quiet side street. The staff is friendly and helpful, and gave me a recommendation for one of the best restaurants in the city (and the country) a few blocks away. They were also great in helping me get tickets and transportation to a Lucha Libre match, a bus tour of the city, and driving directions in English to Teotihuacan . I wandered up to the restaurant on a couple of occasions to find it closed. Room service in foreign hotels is never great, so I didn't bother. Much quicker and easier to have someone at the desk put you in a taxi at any hour to be dropped off at a fantastic eatery. The rooms are very inexpensive for the location, under $100 per night, and they have a garage for your car. I won't stay anywhere else in Mexico City.
