"Launched as a delivery‑friendly offshoot of the longtime Zoma, this converted waiting area added a few tables by popular demand and does right by its beef dishes: Zoma tibs (cubed sirloin stir‑fried with honey wine until saucy) and kitfo (tartare freshly chopped to order and seasoned with cardamom, very hot red‑chile powder, and warm butter). I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Zoma Express! The food was incredibly flavorful—each dish was rich, aromatic, and beautifully prepared. But what made the visit truly special was the hospitality. The host welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we felt like honored guests in someone’s home. They took time to explain the dishes, offer recommendations, and make sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. If you're looking for the best Ethiopian cuisine in the city, Zoma is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Zoma Exp was the best Ethiopia food I’ve tried in New York City, hands down! After the original location closed I couldn’t find anything of similar quality. I’m so happy they reopened! Really fresh, super high quality ingredients, and so flavorful. Zoma is a 10/10 for me!

Super good! I didn’t go to this restaurant before it temporarily closed during covid, but apparently they were on the Michelin Guide. Really cute and intimate space, classy spot. Service was great, the restaurant staff were really nice and attentive. The food was amazing and also really well priced! Highly recommend the kitfo (tartare) and shiro. More than enough injera as they brought out more as we ate.

Really fresh and flavorful Ethiopian food! I remember the old Zoma location that closed during COVID so I was glad to see they reopened. We got the Zoma Tibs and Kitfo as well as lots of vegetarian sides. It was perfect for us as a group and the sambusas were freshly made!

Just got back from dinner at Zoma and let me tell you the reviews didn’t lie. The food is simply amazing and the atmosphere of the place is so cosy. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, will definitely be coming back soon!!
