This is one of my favourite places in Mexico. A lot of pyramids surrounded by beautiful greenery all around you. Many vendors selling so many beautiful things. I strongly advise to visit this place early in the morning because of the people and the weather. We visited the place in late April.

During our vacation in Mexico we visited quite a few ruins, but this place made a lasting impression. From the parking lot, we left the beaten track with our guide and entered the jungle. While walking our guide told us in detail how agriculture and mother earth is all connected, how the way of living were decided through the Mayan calender and the connected events. Suddenly as we entered a clearing in the morning mist we had a glimpse of the ruins. The scene was as taken from an Indiana Jones movie and made a lasting impression, just beutiful We walked around and into some of the temples while our guide told us everything worth knowing. We even took an extra trip into the jungle where there are wildlife and ruins that have not yet been dug out. We can highly recommend hiring a guide as you will get so much more out of your visit with help from an experienced person. I very highly recommend a visit to these ruins. There is so much to learn from these original original inhabitants and their way of living. I gave come to love this place 🥰

One of the best pyramids in Mexico. This jewel is hidden in the jungle. This is a must for anybody trying to have a one in a lifetime experience with the Mayan Culture. It includes an amazing museum. You can hire a tourist guide for an additional cost of $100-$200 USD.

Truly amazing archeological zone! The jungle around it makes it magical. You can climb some of the building, so make sure to wear shoes. Don’t forget to do the jungle/cascades tour to zone B C D. Absolutely amazing, in the middle of the jungle, hearing the monkeys. Only downside is the ticket system. You have to buy 4 tickets: - entrance national park / unesco - entrance park - car ticket (buy at the checkout 2/3) - transport ticket (buy after the gate) This is not completely clear and nobody speaks proper English.

The ruins are truly stunning but don't skip the jungle portion which is gorgeous, very interesting but does require you to hire a guide. We got one near the entrance who spoke impeccable English and could negotiate to 800 pesos.

An amazing experience, the mayan culture is incredible .. We took a taxi from downtown to the ruins and we went back in a convi that charge 25 pesos per person and we hire a guide in the ticket box from 800 pesos for 2 hours his name is Adrian who has a lot of knowledge

The ruins are spectacular, the size of the site was surprisingly large. You are able to climb and enter some of ruins, amazing experience. Apparently, it's still vastly undiscovered. Definitely worth the trip

It's interesting from the historical aspect. However, there are many, many vendors inside the park selling souvenirs, which can be quite distracting. Perhaps a specific vendor area, maybe at or near the entrance, would help resolve this. On several of the most important structures, doors and / or windows have been installed, making them somewhat strange, almost like a building downtown.
