Yelp
This place has a love-hate relationship with tourists. There are two menus for tapas - one in Spanish, one in English. The prices on the Spanish menu are significantly cheaper. But if you are smart enough to decline to be ripped off, prepare to be treated poorly by the staff.
They have a huge wall of wine, but not much else as far as decor. It felt a lot more like California wine country than Spain. My guy and I came in looking for tapas and a little wine (though we were taking it easy on the wine, having overdone it lately). We sat down, I used the restroom, came back, looked over the menu, and were dismayed to notice the difference in prices. We were looking for something a bit more substantial as well. We decided to try a different place. The server then gave us a hard time about using the bathroom without buying anything. It wasn't done intentionally to trick him into letting me use the restroom, but giving me a hard time about it certainly isn't going to change my mind about wanting to patronize this place. I might have come back another time when I wanted to try some fancy wine, but now I'll make a point to avoid it.
See some of my other reviews for better options. (hint: La Alcoba Azul is just two doors down and the service is much friendlier!)
