8 new global dining concepts in Singapore that will transport you to another location - SilverKris

"A riverside Clarke Quay café focusing on bright, hearty breakfast and brunch fare with a Greek twist — try the Giaourti (creamy zesty yogurt topped with blueberries, granola, raspberry coulis and mint) or the generous Zorba Breakfast Platter of eggs, Greek sausage, bacon, roasted tomato, portobello mushroom, caramelised onion, avocado and toast; the menu also includes coffee, tea, smoothies and fresh juices." - Rachel Eva Lim

I went there with friends on a Thursday night. We just finished the river cruise and so it was very convenient to choose. The r the restaurant was situated right next to the river and would be a very romantic place to come have dinner. The selections were sufficient, but the prices was quite expensive given the location. The food took a while to come out even though there were not too many people so expect delays if you are in a hurry. However, the point is to sit and relax and chat so the wait was fine, unless you are hungry. the service was ok. Not bad, not exceptional, thus the 4 stars. So if you are in to Greek food, with a nice view, it’s not a bad place to be.

We visited Zorba the Greek Taverna during the afternoon hours between 3–5pm, and overall had a pleasant and relaxing experience. The food was generally good, priced reasonably for the location, and the views overlooking the river were absolutely stunning, a perfect backdrop for a slow afternoon meal. The ambience and furnishings were well thought out, fitting the Greek aesthetic beautifully. It was quiet and peaceful, ideal for unwinding. The restaurant is also dog-friendly, which we appreciated. While pets are required to stay on the floor, it would be nice if they could offer a small cushion or designated seating for them. That said, they did kindly offer iced water for our dog, which was a lovely touch. Service was mostly positive. The male staff on shift were all very attentive, active, and polite, which made us feel well taken care of. A male manager (or someone who seemed to be) even came over to chat, play with our pet, and share a few jokes, his warmth and friendliness really stood out. However, one female staff member did show a bit of attitude, notably letting out a loud sigh at our table in response to our multiple requests. It was disappointing, especially since we were one of only two tables dining during that time. We also overheard the other table sending food back, which raised some concern about consistency during the afternoon service. That said, despite her initial reaction, the lady staff did attend to all our queries and requests, so credit is due for following through. Overall, Zorba offers a pleasant riverside dining experience with good food, a beautiful setting, and mostly attentive service. While there’s room for improvement for a certain staff, I’ve been here a few times and would still recommend and return.

It was my first visit to Zorba The Greek Taverna so I felt the Restaurant Week lunch would give a good introduction to the establishment. My initial and lasting impression is that Zorba offers alfresco dining by the Singapore River with stunning views and a cool relaxed ambiance Service was initially slow for the Greek salad. It took about 20 minutes to prepare but fortunately the balance of flavours and freshness made it worth the wait. Both main courses - grilled chicken club supreme and baked Mediterranean Sea bass were spot on in taste and presentation - and served in timely manner. The thick cut chips were fresh, crunchy and crispy, However the Baklava dessert was overly sweet. Two glasses of decent Greek white wine at happy hour rates of $25 complemented both the food and the sunny weather! Certainly worth a return visit!

Situated on the river at Clarke Quay we had a table for two by the water and ordered the Garides prawn saganaki and lamb skewers. Both dishes were excellent with the prawns particularly fresh. The price wasn’t too bad but then you are in the tourist part of town. Good food though and would recommend.

I spent 5 days in Singapore with my parents, and we decided to have our last night’s dinner here. It turned out to be a great choice! First, the food. Greek food is one of my favorites, but I haven’t had it for a long time since moving to Korea, so I was really happy to enjoy those familiar flavors again. We loved almost everything we ordered, and my mom especially loved the salad! The view was wonderful as well. We made a reservation for around 6 PM. It was a bit hot at first, but soon the sun began to set and the weather became perfect—just the right temperature to enjoy both the food and the scenery. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The next time I visit Singapore, I will definitely come back here.

It's an outdoor Cafe at clarke quay. They have ample fan, and it wasn't too hot during lunch, but obviously you need to be dressed appropriately to sit outdoors Food was ok. We had the Restaurant Week lunch set. Large and generous portion. ingredients was fresh and showcased the flavours.

Had brunch by the Singapore River and it was a really relaxing spot. The view is great, the Greek dishes are hearty and full of flavour, and the staff were friendly which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a nice place to chill

Went for the lunch menu — food was generally okay. Tried the pita and some desserts. The pita bread was nice but felt a little small, would have been good to have more. The galatopita and manitaropita were fine, though they could use a little more effort to really shine. The chips served at the side were surprisingly good, probably the highlight.
