Stepping aboard the Zübeyde Hanım Eğitim ve Sergi Gemisi felt like entering a floating time capsule. The low hum of the sea, the gentle sway underfoot, and the soft lighting on display cases of old maritime tools made it peaceful in an unexpected way. I particularly liked the way exhibits are laid out — you can walk from room to room, see photos, objects, instruments, and also listen to the guides explaining seafaring life. A highlight for me was the “yüzen kütüphane” (floating library) corner filled with books about maritime history; I stayed there longer than intended. It’s not a grand museum, but its charm is in the details and in how intimate the setting feels.
The ship reopened after renovations. It is open from ~10:00 to ~17:30 on most days, except on Mondays and Thursdays.
Entry is Free, no cost.
