I have seen this place recommend, and i must say, I dint disappointed at all. The staff was very friendly and there was plenty of choice for breakfast and light brunch. They had choices from granola, omelette, and pancakes. The picture is of a pancake with bacon and a fried egg, and I must say it was rally tasty. The coffee was really good with plenty of choice of hot and cold drinks. There was in door and outdoor seating to be hand. We found this little place really friendly and cosy. It was a bit out of the centre more to the West end but definitely worth a visit.

Google
While visiting Zurich, I stumbled upon this incredible spot. I had what I can honestly say were the best pancakes I've ever tasted in my life. Who would've thought to put cheese on pancakes? Sounds strange at first, but trust me—it's genius. The prices might seem a little above average, but once you taste the food and see the quality of the experience, it's absolutely justified. The indoor and outdoor seating options are great. Even indoors, the space is cleverly divided into sections, so you still get a sense of privacy, which is perfect whether you’re solo or in a group. It’s true that the location feels a little out of the way—there aren't many big tourist spots nearby. but its still worth the small detour. Also worth mentioning: they offer vegetarian options, and the veggie omelette is just as standout as the pancakes. If you're in Zurich and looking for a delicious, memorable meal with a relaxed vibe, don’t miss this place.

Google
Been here for brunch many times and it’s always delicious! I love their “deftige berta” and their savory waffles. I don’t know of many places in Zurich that serves brunch every day but this spot does 💗

Google
We were at the restaurant for breakfast bacon 🥓 and scrambled eggs. The food and espresso was delicious. The waitress was very friendly, and apologized for the forgotten order. I hope we are more lucky next time.

Google
Rooms have no own bathroom, for the price is that very badly. But the rooms are clean and the bed is good. Parking is horrific tho, there was place nowhere and if there is u can only park for 1 hour between 8-20. That means that you need to reset your blue parking indicator ever hour and at 8:00 the next day otherwise you will recieve a fine.. I’ve Parked my car 600meters away at the Coop after looking for parking spots for over 1 hour!! The garage is closed from 21-7. Cant reach it in the evening but atleast I can park normaly. They really need to fix some parking spaces for guests!

Google
We really enjoyed this place. We had the waffles and cheese breakfast. The staff was very friendly and quick. We left happy and full.

Google
Friendly staff! Good brunch! No possibility to book, we had to wait a bit to get a table. A bit Crowded and laud! But definitely recommended!

Yelp
[AMAZING PANCAKES] Oh yes the coffee tasted just perfect. The staff was friendly and delightful to chat to with.

Yelp
Great breakfast! We sat by the window and after the rain stop they even opened it for fresh air, creating a splendid ambiance. The food was delicious, a tad overpriced for an omelette but wonderful quality. The ice coffee was also wonderful and the service was quick and servers were nice.

Yelp
If you're a tourist, this is a great place to eat. They menu is in English and they have oat milk for your coffee. The service is friendly but they are quite busy . Definitely a great place to visit for brunch/breakfast

Yelp
A perfect breakfast spot. The service was great, food was incredible and the ambiance was exactly what I was looking for

Yelp
This midweek breakfast spot recharged my batteries on multiple levels! The massive windows let ample sunlight in, the design (especially font) is well satisfying, and their sweet/savory pancakes, espresso drinks, and egg and meat dishes hit the right spots. If you choose to eat outside, blankets are provided with each seat. Plus, service is excellent (like most places in Zurich, but nevertheless worth noting).

Yelp
I had high expectations for this place after reading the reviews but we thought it was terrible. I ordered the veggie omelette and it arrived burned. Plus I got the heel of the bread with it? Very disappointed.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast in Zurich and it was delicious! I had the savory pancake with onions, bacon, and an egg which was fantastic. The pancake was not too heavy and was filled with a lot of flavor. The mini pancakes with powdered sugar and butter were also very delicious. The only thing is, this place follows Zurich prices and is quite a pricey breakfast. For three of us it was around $100 to have a meal and coffee, since that's the kind of money you should expect to spend on meals when in Zurich it wasn't that bad. If I'm back there I will definitely return to this spot it was a fantastic breakfast!

Yelp
Perfect casual place for Sunday brunch! Everything is usually closed on Sundays so it's so nice to have something delicious open on Sunday in Zurich. I love how casual this place is, you walk in, find a table yourself and order at the bar. There's people with their laptops doing work with a cup of coffee (or just chilling) and people there eating a ton of food. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. MUST GET: Savory pancakes. It's a flatter pancake than typical American pancakes, so I guess it's more like a thicker crepe. You can add any toppings you want, so we had bacon, mushrooms, caramelized onions and a fried egg on top. Just what you need for brunch! Try their Pufferli also. It's like teeny tiny pancakes with powdered sugar on top. DON'T GET: nothing in particular, everything we had was quite good! TIPS: Ask for an English menu if you need one! The ones on the tables are usually in German. I'd like to try their waffles next time, I saw someone with one and it looked amazing. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Awesome name. Even better food. The environment here is fun and casual, very hipster but in a non American way. Makes you want to stay longer, drink tea and read a book. Now to the food. I will never forget the feeling I got when I tried their Nutella pancakes. The best pancakes I've had in any of the Schengen countries. Literally so soft, fluffy and melts In YOUR mouth. I also ordered the hungover breakfast. Which was a combination of fluffy eggs, bacon, fresh bread, cheese, croissant & freshly made jam. Let me tell you this. No I wasnt hungover but if that's what it takes to order this, I will have a hell of a night to be able to have breakfast like this. Some of the best homemade style food I've in Zurich. I will be back. Order the Nutella pancakes. Seriously. You'll send me a message thanking me.

Yelp
Stayed in Zurich a few days. Found this spot on the first day and never went anywhere else for breakfast. This is my idea of breakfast heaven. I had a waffle with ice cream and candied bacon. This place is delicious and the staff is absolutely friendly.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
We went there on a Monday afternoon, and it was lovely, since not too busy. "Café crème" for only chf 3.90 - soy milk is chf 1.50 extra, that's why I didn't order a cappuccino. But I got a little bit of soy milk for my black coffee. The others ordered hot and cold chocolate milk / ovo. Four drinks for chf 20.- / I'd say that's fair in Zurich!

Yelp
This place would make the coolest Brooklyn "it" place weep with envy. A beautiful, effortlessly cool restaurant with fabulous, unpretentious food. I had the Hangover breakfast. Perfectly soft scrambled eggs, incredible bacon, fantastic croissant, delicious local bread and cheese - along with a beautifully made cappuccino. Perfection. The host/barista mans the bar and is strangely cute and aloof as only a Euro dude can be. He adds to the hipster feel with his short hair, impressive beard and cool lumberjack plaid shirt. The music spans mid-60's to mid-70's - love! My favorite thing in Zurich and a must for cool people who eat breakfast.

Yelp
This is a really fantastic restaurant, especially for brunch. Unlike various so-called ethnic places in Zurich which have been repeatedly disappointing and bland, the brunch spots which are providing standard local fare have been consistently excellent. The pfannkuchen are wonderful with fresh ingredients nicely spiced and balanced, and I returned twice more to sample the other menu items including drinks and desserts which I also enjoyed. The staff go out of their way to please their customers. Too bad we don't have anything like this place near my home town in New Jersey. I have introduced several locals to this spot and they plan to return.

Yelp
Wow!!!! Visiting for a week and came across this gem. Service was amazing and food was incredible! We will be back tomorrow morning for breakfast. I had the waffles with fried eggs and bacon, so damn good!! It was also future day and kids were working and it was so great to see them learning the ways. Keep up the amazing work and see you in the morning

Yelp
Nice homey diner feel! Pancakes were delish and seemed healthy as they had a layer of fresh fruit baked into them. A bit of the beaten path and seemed like mostly locals, but totally legit!
google avatar

Ash P.

Yelp
Thanks to Yelp, we found this little gem. The place is very cosy and it kinda reminds me of some small cafes in Berlin. It is run by young people and service is sorta indifferent to me. Without a reservation, you might have to try your luck in getting a table as it is quite small and busy. I do really like their pancake and will definitely go back again for brunch.
google avatar

Obehi U.

Yelp
The stuffed pancakes are really good. It was my first time trying it. I got the ham and mushrooms pancakes, with fried eggs over easy. One of the best meals I've had so far in my 1wk Zurich trip. I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Best breakfast in Zürich! Lots of options for everyone including vegetarians and vegans.
google avatar

Courtney P.

Yelp
Really nice pancakes for a reasonable (for switzerland) price! I had the chorizo, cheese, and onion pancake, which was huge and extremely filling. They also had a container of still water out on the counter that was free of charge...only place i dined at that provided this. The employees are extremely friendly, and like most places will provide an English menu if needed.

Clara L.

Yelp
we got the ham/mushroom/egg pancake thing everyone raves about - yum! it tasted like a crispier crepe and the fillings were very tasty as well the size is smaller than expected based on the photos so we ended up ordering another one since we liked it so much

Yelp
My favorite place that's near Wiedikon. Beautiful building and interior and food that is so delicious that you return anxious to try something else there that they offer. I will miss being near it
google avatar

Yelp
After a long weekend in Zurich dealing with overpriced food and rude locals, we walked in greeted by friendly staff more than happy to have us! the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the food reasonable priced (especially for college kids on a budget), and it's open on sundays! The food all looks delicious we chose the pufferli with sugar and butter.
google avatar

Yelp
Hipster cafe with delicious waffles downstairs, clean & comfortable guest rooms upstairs. Basically exactly what you'd hope for in a Gasthaus in Zürich's Kreis 4. Pfannkuchen (pancakes or thick crepes) and waffles worked as wonderful restoratives while we waited for the 3pm check-in time; there's a whole savory side to the menu we'll explore next time we're there. Gelato case also had some customers at one point. As to the rooms --- good German/Swiss style linens (fitted sheet, one duvet and one pillow per person, no top sheet), shelves for a little bit of unpacking without fiddling with drawers and closets. One toilet and one sink/shower on our floor. Ask at the counter for the wi-fi password... and a poppyseed waffle.

Yelp
Tired of interesting and unique menus? Looking for everyday food that you can cook at home just as easy?? In search of Migros quality Sunday brunch??? Then you've come to the right place folks!! I went here on a recommendation for a great brunch place in Zurich and while I liked the fun interior, I have trouble even recalling what I ate because it was just so normal! Just think, hotel continental breakfast + pancakes and that pretty much sums this place up.
google avatar

Nick N.

Yelp
Fantastic little cafe on the border of Kreis 4. It's popularity speaks for itself: it's hard to get a table on the inside of the cafe on weekends for breaky/brunch, a direct reults of how good this little gem is and the fact that its a small and intimate little joint. Their speciality are pancakes, both of the sweet and savoury kinds. Savoury comes with frsh tomato and cheese, or spinach, ricotta and one nuts, or chorizo and onions to name a couple of the half a dozen or so options. Sweet come as expected ;) Coffees are good, the orange juice freshly squeezed, its all pretty damm fine. There is a decent alcohol selection here as well as this cafe doubles as a breakfast cafe / cafe-bar and would be a cute little venue for some afternoon/evening beverages I'm sure.

Yelp
I don't know how anyone could give this place less than a full on 5 star review! My wife and I came here for brunch and got the vegetarian omelette, the hang over breakfast and the delightful waffael Gluck. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! If we only knew about this place earlier in our trip. Everything was cooked to perfection. The hot chocolate was amazing as well (got it without the rum) I don't need to describe the place any further with all the other reviews describing it spot on.
google avatar

Carlos V.

Yelp
Very nice place. Only for breakfast/brunch. It might be a bit expensive for what it is but i guess once in a while it's ok. Employees are very friendly and welcoming. Don't forget to order at the bar!
google avatar

Malsi E.

Yelp
The coffee place seemed a bit too small for me, and even with two persons we were having trouble finding a seat on a saturday morning. The neighborhood is not that great though, so don't expect some live action because the cafe is a bit hidden. I have to admit their cappuccinos are good, and the croissant was one of the best I had in Zurich. They also serve some good breakfast/brunch food. Service was a bit rude, and the waiters were not really helpful (we were at the counter for 10 min and nobody noticed us), it's as if were supposed to know the whole menu by heart and the waiter clearly didn't want to waste his time explaining the menu. Also, the prices that we paid were not really matching the service and area. Go there only if you are sure to have a place (i.e not on a weekend)

Yelp
Such a cute local spot with traditional Swiss Raclette. Yummy food, quick, fun atmosphere. Loved the mashed potatoes, we ordered white wine, smoke, goat, pepper, garlic, port wine cheeses and the white wine was a crowd fav.

Cheuks P.

Yelp
Delicious! Must try their savory pancakes! I got the ham mushroom and egg pancake and it was the best I've ever had! We also tried the mini pancakes for dessert and it was amazing. Girls working there were awesome and very nice. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Jacob C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The staff was very nice and spoke English. I have to say, the bacon was out of this world amazing. The apple cinnamon pancake was perfect. We will definitely be back. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast.
google avatar

Adamme M.

Yelp
Nice brunch spot. They have pancakes (pfannkuchen) and waffles. The pancakes are really just an open faced crepe, but they don't know that. I actually folded mine and ate it like a crepe. We had the nutella and an egg/ham ones, pretty good. Cute atmosphere with some outside seating away from the main traffic area.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
I walked in and immediately felt at home - it's a cute, cosy, and hip little place, and if you smoke, no worries: there's a whole section towards the back just for you. When you walk in, just find a seat for yourself, and order at the counter. It was pretty packed when my friend and I got there (on a Sunday morning), but space freed up after a couple of minutes wait. The food itself is great: I had the savory pancakes with onions, bacon, and a sunny-side-up egg. The pancake was more like a crepe and was nicely crispy on the edges - it's actually quite a filling meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, and cleared the tables pretty quickly.
google avatar

Jake B.

Yelp
Although the price was above what I consider average as an American, The savory pancake was something I have never tried before and as I my first try, I enjoyed the overall taste. However, without any refreshing drinks, the pancake can get blend and boring.

Jen D.

Yelp
Our first morning in Zurich and we found this little treasure! Friendly wait staff greeted us and offered us an English menu! The decor was supper sweet with a few breakout rooms away from the busy restaurant! Large coffees are quite large! I had a cinnamon and sugar pancake and it was delicious. My husband had the Swiss breakfast (which came with a croissant, delicious bread and cheese! A fantastic way to start the day!
google avatar

Christian K.

Yelp
We ate brunch here last weekend. These are swiss style pancakes folks. More like a crepe than the thick, filling and satisfying American pancakes that I was wanting. However, I thouroughly enjoyed my Swiss Pancake! It was not the carbo-loaded breakfast I was looking for but we left happy. They have an amazing variety of pancakes to choose from too. So whether you want something sweet and nutty or salty with speck, you will find something that pleases. Also, their facilities are wonderfully clean. Overall they do a great job.
google avatar

Maria L.

Yelp
Had the veggie omelet. Delicious. Bread is homemade. Would love larger water glasses.

Xin S.

Yelp
Wow wow and wow. It's located on a quiet street away from the tourist traps of the city center. Decor is retro earthy and bright. Service is fast and efficient. Food is out of this world. The waffle was just perfection. We got the Gluck waffle. Comes with ice cream on too and fresh whip cream and liquor. So so good. Best waffle of my life. I ordered the veggie omelet. Cooked perfectly. Soft on the inside and browned on the outside. All I needed was a grilled tomato or some kind of tomato sauce. Side salad was fresh and light. Great breakfast. Hubby ordered the hangover breakfast. Two fried eggs and bacon with a croissant and cheese. Don't know what kind of cheese that was but boy was it delicious. Eggs again perfect and orange yolk. Bacon was standard. We will be back if we are in Zurich.
google avatar

Christene A.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast and got a savory pancake with onion, apple sauce and cheese. My boyfriend got a pancake with bacon and treacle. While mine was very delicious I definitely prefered his! would go again
google avatar

Yelp
Zum Guten Glück has delicious waffles that are softer than usual and a stronger (but good) hint of eggs than I expected. Their pancakes are also good, and I've been meaning to try their muesli, which looks tasty. Their cappuccino is probably their weakest point, milk usually over steamed, unmemorable espresso beans, too much chocolate powder on top -- about a 2.5 stars out of 5 on the coffee. I don't mind the semi-crowded space. Even on a Saturday, a party of two people can usually squeeze in somewhere if they're patient. This is definitely more of a café than a sit-down restaurant.

Yelp
When we arrived in Zurich, this was the first restaurant we went to... because we were staying in the guesthouse above. The guesthouse: we stayed in the guesthouse for 6 nights in July 2011. This guest house has 10 rooms on two floors above the cafe and is an inexpensive option for staying close to the center of Zurich. You check-in and -out at the bar, so you need to arrive during restaurant hours. The bathroom is shared with four other rooms on the floor, and the rooms, toilet, and shower room are all very clean. Our room (Room 10) had a double bed, two chairs, night stands, lights, shelves, water glasses, and towels - no TV or radio. The wireless internet that is available never worked for us when we were in the room - it only seemed to work if you were actually in the restaurant, and even then it was pretty flaky. The beds were moderately comfortable - typical Ikea-like mattress that you can't sleep too long on or your back starts to hurt. Overall, a decent place if you aren't looking for any frills. Okay, onto the restaurant! They sell savory and sweet Pfannkuchen (thin pancakes) and waffles with ice cream, which was honestly the main selling point of staying in the above guesthouse (other than the price). There is usually another special of the day that's not flat-breakfast-treat-related. You order and pay for food and drinks at the bar, but they bring the food to the table. Food has always been delicious - I mean, who doesn't like waffles? The cafe is pretty cozy (read: small) and can get crowded as it's very popular, especially on weekends. One thing that has changed since we first went is that they have divided the back room, and added a glassed smoking room to the front half of that room. While I'm sure some people love it (actually - does anyone love an enclosed smoking room?), it's taken away seating and also made the non-smoking part next to it smell like smoke. Not a positive step in my book, but maybe it's extra-appreciated in the winter for smokers. Bathroom: downstairs from the cafe. serviceable. don't get lost. 3 stars.

Yelp
We loved this little diner. A bit out of the way, but most certainly worth the trip... Those of you who miss great pancakes, waffle and perfectly done omelette accompanied by excellent coffee and freshly squeezed juices, this is the place! Not to mention cool, understated ambience and hip clientele... Definitely a must visit for breakfast.

Tessa O.

Yelp
The flavor of their waffles is off the charts. So delicious! And their pancakes are amazing as well.
google avatar

Yelp
The service was awful, they messed up our orders two times in a row. The second time they messed up more of our food than they got correct. Very disappointing. We had heard great reviews on this place, but from what I am reading around, it has in fact gone down hill. Pass this place by if you are looking for good food and good service.

S G.

Yelp
Pancakes! Delicious pancakes, people. Comfy, homey environment to spend your Sunday morning. They have the usual Swiss brekkie items along with sweet and savory pancakes. Plus a veggie omelet that looks delicious. Highly recommend for a cozy brunch!

Robert A.

Yelp
I came here as soon as they opened. Being a visitor I had no idea what to order besides a cappuccino. I asked the girl tending the restaurant what I should order and she asked me if I was feeling sweet, salty, or savory. I opted for savory and was told I should order the Katerfrühstück. This was two fried eggs, some bread, a croissant, a couple slices of cheese, bacon, jam, and butter. The food was great and the service was excellent. I will be back.
