A lovely spot in the park close to SBB to have an apertivo after work. Now that the weather is warmer everything is green around, I recommend sitting outside. The staff were very friendly and the food and drinks were superb! Will be visiting again soon!

When I saw this place from the picture, I didn't expect anything and just went there cause it was close to where I was. The Kleine breakfast was perfect. quality of the butter and homemade jam was so delicious and coffee and Bread was amazing as well. It might not be fancy but very nice and comforting place. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. They accept Cards and you don't need reservation in the morning.

“Zum Kuss” is a cosy little place where old friends meet to discuss family-news over an excellent cup of coffee, others have a little sandwich and a cake in the afternoon and some take a chai and read their book. The pavilion and Café atmosphere in the Parc gives you a feeling of a little oasis in Basel, while only being 2 minutes walk away from the Basel SBB train station. I would not recommend it if you are in search for a big lunch, but try it out for a snack and/or one of the wonderful cakes. Zum Kuss seems to be open 7 days a week.

A beautiful place to have a coffee and a marvelous piece of apple cake. Situated on the side of a beautiful park, close to the main train station of Basel. The water served was complementary.

No more breakfast other than Croissants (not Fresh) or Cake. Lukewarm coffee, Chai Latte tasted like milk only. Sad. The place once was replay nice for breakfast or brunch.

Zum Kuss (To the Kuss) is an island, or better yet, an oasis of uniqueness in culinary experiences in the middle of a park, nestled across the way from the Swiss Bahnhof. Offering a delightful variety of mouthwatering food, it can be a “lifesaver” for the weary traveler that has disembarked and heading into Basel to spend gobs of Swiss Francs. From the reclining beach sling chairs next to small low tables where one can relax with a drink, to the vintage metal tables under large sunbrellas that invite groups of friends or business associates to dine and celebrate life, it’s a unforgettable experience including the sometimes rude service but that’s to be expected in Switzerland.

Really nice central location in a park, very friendly staff, good food. Definitely a good choice! I will surely come back again.

Yelp
Zum Kuss is a relaxing cafe that you can sit inside or outdoor table for beer/wine or just coffee drinks. It's next to a park so you feel more relaxed than cafes in the city next to trams or busy streets. Very friendly service and complimentary water (comes with a bottle of water, not just a small glass). There are some big tables that you might need to share with others but that can be fun too.

Yelp
I love how they provide free water and their selection of gin and tonic is perfect - a bit pricy though...
