Zum Löwen

Visiting from the UK on our annual trip to Bad Salzuflen with our German friends. We have previously had superb service and excellent food. On our visit this week we were disappointed the Löwe Sylbach was not up to its usual standard. The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. We were a party of four and had to attract the waiter each time we were ready to order and after our main course were left alone for too long and again had to attract the waiter to order dessert and coffees. Then another long wait to attract the attention of the waiter to pay the bill. There was no interaction between the waiter and ourselves and after paying no one around to bid us goodbye. Just a little disappointed for what is a special visit to the Löwe each year.

The hotel rooms are very nicely decorated and big enough for a longer stay. The staff at the reception is extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is very very good and can complete with the big hotels The food in the connected restaurant using locally sourced ingredients is delicious. The restaurants has space enough to accommodate family parties and bigger groups. There is also a beergarden in front and the back of the hotel. The staff in the restaurant is as friendly and welcoming as in the hotel. I can only recommend a stay in this beautiful family hotel.

The welcome is warm, the room is spotless. The restaurant is already set for Christmas, beautiful and glittering. And the food is really good. A complete menu, with interesting home dishes. I'm happy I'll be back soon!

This is a typical local hotel for a small German town. The hotel was well done and clean with reasonable nightly rates. ||Food from the restaurant was excellent. We were there in summer and were able to enjoy the outdoor patio, they have two.

Nice place very clean, the food good also. Only problem internet connection was not working.||||A perfect place to stop and go with your trip. good space to work in the room, and bathroom extremely clean

Lovely hotel in quiet village near lemgo. Rooms very comfortable and clean and restaurant was excellent. Highly recommended

There's no fridge in the rooms, but the restaurant is great.
