We only had about 25 minutes for a quick lunch, saw the great reviews and decided to check this place out. Marcus and the staff were so kind and made sure to bring us our food with plenty of time to spare. The food was flavorful and plentiful! Highly recommend!!

Small, quaint cafe primarily serving the Swabian classic spätzle - their version of pasta. Seating for about 30 and the place filled up by 2pm. I had a cheese spätzle with bacon and onions. It came with a small salad as well. Portions are quite big - I have a large appetite and could only finish half of my very hearty dish.
Lots of drink options, I had an herbal lemonade called Almdudler that was delicious and refreshing.
Service was casual and friendly. No English menu available but servers spoke it just fine.

Absolutely delicious and filling German traditional food in a cosy wee restaurant. The host was delightful and very organised and efficient. Although he was busy he was charming with excellent English. Everything we ate was wholesome and tasty. We enjoyed finishing with the local fruit schnapps too.

I tried the spätzle here and was pleasantly surprised! The combination of tender spätzle with the peppery arugula and crumbly parmesan was a flavor explosion. And the spätzle with the juicy schnitzel reminded me of home cooking. The nice atmosphere and great service rounded out the positive experience. I recommend it to all spätzle lovers!

My favorite spot in Hamburg, been coming here for nearly 10 years bringing colleagues and business guests. Great swabian food, quick and good service, good prices. It's been getting more popular and space is tight but usually they make it work.
