This place is a little gem of a local place! If you want a great cocktail you need to do yourself a favor and check this place out! The atmosphere is amazing but the cocktails are even better. I tried 3 different cocktails and each was beautifully crafted and delicious. I sat at the bar and saw the case in which each was made. It’s the details, the crushed ice in the glass to cool down the glass but discarded and never served with crushed ice. I watched the mixologist make 6 drinks at a time like a pro and each looked better than the last. Locals seem to drink wine here but the cocktails are the hit! Check it out!

Beautiful bar with speakeasy vibes, delicious cocktails, and retro music. There were so many original drinks on the menu that were created by the staff, it was hard to choose. We had a great time and didn't leave until we were tipsy and giggly. 🤭

A great place with excellent service. The waiters are friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful time thanks to all of this. The prices are affordable, and both the drinks and food are incredibly delicious. The only downside was that it felt a bit cramped, but other than that, everything was perfect. We highly recommend visiting this place!

A very cozy place. It doesn't feel crowded even when it's full. The enterior is beautiful with the red light, cool pictures and comfy booths. The drinks are great and not too pricey. The staff is super friendly, always down to chat and joke around.

I'm a sucker for whiskey and blues no matter where I go - Zum Wolf was perfekt. Would recommend the smoking old fashioned, was absolutely beautiful and the staff were fantastic.

One of the worst bars I’ve ever been to in Munich! You may want to stay for this one. I’ve been here twice in my life; first time, my friends (total of 3 people) we had a good time. The vibe and atmosphere of the place is something special, I must admit for the city, with the Harlem Renaissance vibes. The server was nice and treated us fine. A week later, I go with a friend on a Friday night and our group size was 4 people. It was 10pm when we entered the bar and only 2 of us could show up at the time (for personal reasons they were tardy). Meanwhile, my friend and I are inside waiting to be served in this “big table,” the same waiter, who served me the week prior, was very rude to us, didn’t take our order, and instead served us a side of extreme passive aggressive by saying we “were costing him business.” The worst part was the continuous attitude. All of this happened in front of other people watching awkwardly. It’s needless to say my friend and I felt stressed by this and left after only being there for 25 minutes. It’s extremely disappointing coming from the U.S., living here, and seeing this kind of service as acceptable. The sad part is I’m not the only person here who has left a negative review (as in he’s been like this for years) and is still employed. I rarely ever leave a negative review but felt I had to for the sake of others. You want to know how to lose business? Just like this. I hope this bar does better with its staff.

The new staff are friendlier than the old ones. If you’ve never been it’s a small bar that can take maximum maybe 50 and has very cozy style always red light. The cocktails don’t come below the 10 euro mark. They have some wine and beer reasonably priced. Music is usually nice.

Went out for a cocktail as the place was heavily recommended to me and apparently for a reason. The drinks I had were expertly made and tasty. The place had lots of people in but didn't feel packed and not too noisy.. Super nice experience. I highly recommend their version of bloody Mary, superior twist to the tradition.

Yelp
Traveled from AZ to Munich and while hitting the town to enjoy the city and, were literally denied entry because we had shirts that said "Germany" on them during a day that they where playing in the Eurocup. Horrible customer service.

Adam L.

Yelp
Denied entry because we had football t-shirts on (during Euro-Cup) and the doorman didn't even say anything but just pointed to a sign. Very rude.

Yelp
Sat outside on a nice breezy Thursday afternoon after walking around Munich. The queer friendly atmosphere was noticeable, and it was nice to people watch in the area. The waitstaff was really attentive and the drinks were well mixed. I could only have one without food, though, but I would have stayed to try more. Definitely a solid place to go for outdoor, and I would come back to see what it's like inside in the evenings.

Yelp
The worst, don't waste your time. Horrible service and atmosphere the guy at the door was extremely rude.

Yelp
Went for drinks because we like to drink. It seems to be a pretty kuhl spot, whether self imposed or otherwise. We went back for drinks. The staff was always nice to us. I remember meeting a cute girl there too. They have matches in boxes too! Zum Wolf is zer gut.

Yelp
**To the bartender with the really big beard** I hope you see this. I was just there with my friend. You could tell that we were maybe a little tipsy. A man sat next to us and was chatting us up. He was perfectly friendly and nothing untoward was going on, but you walked by with some water and you made eye contact and asked if everything was ok. And I wanted you to know that we know what you were really asking. And I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. What you did may have seemed like a small thing, but coming from you - someone who maybe doesn't know what it is to feel physically intimidated or overpowered (though I make no assumptions), that small thing was so empathic and so kind. Thank you. Really. We were both so moved that we wanted to turn around after we left just to give you a big hug. To whoever hired this guy- he should be the model by which you hire all future bartenders (he also makes a really great cocktail). You're a gem. Will come back here for sure.

Yelp
We are in Munich for Oktoberfest and had a very nice drink here on our first night when we arrived quite late. However, when we tried to come for a nightcap tonight after having a quiet dinner in the neighbourhood while wearing our drindls we were flatly told "No" when we tried to enter. Despite the fact that the bar was clearly no busier than on Friday night, they said to try again next week when Oktoberfest was over. It is a shame that they were so rude to us tonight because otherwise I would have highly recommended it to others visiting Munich. As it were, I would definitely not recommend visiting a place so rude to tourists here to celebrate Bavarian culture.

Yelp
My favorite cocktail bar in Munich! Most likely because they serve Bulleit Bourbon and it was a taste of America while abroad. The mixologists definitely know what they're doing; overall it's an awesome place to wind up after the clubs on Sonnenstraße!

Yelp
This place was trying really hard to be cool like our speakeasy spots back in the states or in London but my drink was very unbalanced, the bar tender never even acknowledged us until we got a table, and even though we decided to go back a second night, we were turned away at the door simply because of what we were wearing. This felt like a low blow to a trio of speakeasy connoisseurs, well-acquainted with good cocktail bars all around the world, excited to partake in a well-reviewed spot serving Bulleit and seemingly emulating New Orleans. The bearded bouncer who was so nice to us the first night completely did an about-face and treated us like we were personae non gratae even though we had been good customers just two nights before. It was one of the weirdest experiences with service staff I've personally had and sadly this place lost three potentially loyal customers. Admittedly, it was probably for the best because the my mezcal drink tasted more like cheap José Cuervo than the bourbon-mezcal balance it purported to achieve.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, but very rude people, especially the ones in the entrance. I had a drink with a friend and three more friends arrived. They wouldn't let them in, because the bar was "too full". It was more than half empty. The one thing I don't forgive in bars, restaurants etc is being rude.
